This is a great scent to wear after bathing in the product by the same name. Personally I love Molton Brown washes but have not been amazed by their fragrance collection. Currently I am wearing this with a very simple lemon cologne and think it smells great. I would not often wear this as a daily scent as I feel it does not radiate heavily enough to wear. The smell is nice however. Very “clean” smelling.

I really like this scent on my skin. It makes me feel fresh and invigorated. In fact, I really struggle to find anything about it that I don’t like.
The initial burst is zingy and sharp which stays with me for quite a long time. However, with this sharpness comes a cloak of warmth.
When hitting my skin, the vetivert and incense seem to instantly meld into a strong violetty type of smell which mixes with the citrus notes. The overall effect is quite magical and has a sharp air of mystery to it.
I think it works very well in summer, given it’s citrus overtones yet equally well in winter due to the invisible, warm cloak that the dry-down throws upon the skin.
I like to have this in my cupboard as a general all-rounder. In moments of indecision I can spray this on at any time and know that the choice I have made will leave me feeling happily satisfied.

Dry woody concoction which is quite nice, nothing extraordinary but nothing sublime either, i like this a lot – could easily become a non-boring signature scent especially when used with the body wash – thumbs up for bracing silver birch, the cardamom used here is very similar to the one deployed in Un Jardin Apres La Mousson by Hermes, but it makes its presence here in a more earthier tone..i also get a hint of turmeric which is sublime!…Bracing Silver Birch by Molton Brown 7/10,grab it.

Bergamont and lemon mixed with incense is what I’m getting. It’s fresh and spicy with a hint of vetiver and woods. It’s not a fragrance that will wow you but it is quite nice.

Not nearly as good smelling as the ingredients would have you believe. Actually, it’s a good bit generic smelling in that “fresh” sort of way.
Not bad, but not really that good either. Thank goodness it was really cheap at TJMaxx.

The notes suggest a dry, woody incense like one of the CdG’s (such as Avignon), but this is more of a “fresh” take on the idea. Those who dislike those kinds of fragrances (including myself) may enjoy this one, as I do. It seems like it’s better quality than the typical designer attempt to do this kind of fragrance too, so if you see it at a discounter and this sounds good to you, I suggest you grab a bottle. Nothing earthshaking here, but really nice for what it is, and I’m glad to have some for my rotation. I’ll update when I give it a normal wearing.

    First to review, why?
Ok, i like the overall smell. It starts as a green, slightly peppery smell. Then the drydown is softer and a very tiny bit smoky, more misty. Dew on a cedar tree.
This was my second time trying. This time I’m not so impressed, as it seemed alot stronger the first try, a little heavier.
I still think it’s very nice, but for something that costs $88 for the 50ml bottle, it doesnt last very long,, or it just washes off very easily :-
