This really is more of an Oriental Woody rather than a Woody Aromatic.

This fragrance continues to impress me, while the progression is quite linear, it differs according to temperature – in cold weather it’s like Code Profumo, but in hotter weather the cardamom comes out and it lean more towards La Nuit.

not in usa??

This one smells exactly like YSL La Nuit for the first 2 hours or so and then the drydown is just vallina with some woody notes. It is most definitely a cheap La Nuit clone. The top notes were done right but the drydown is completely different from that of La Nuit. I guess the Yardly Bond Street male line is made of famous fragrance clones because Bond Street no. 33 PH is a clone of Creed Green Irish Tweed, while Bond Street no. 8 is a clone of Versace Eros.
I give it a 6/10. Good value for money

After a lot of comparative testing – the mainstream scent this is most similar to is Armani Code Profumo.
Which is pretty impressive at 1/4 the price.

From their website:
“Inspired by London’s fashionable BOND ST, this signature fragrance opens with fresh top notes of crisp apple and zesty bergamot. The core of this fragrance is intensified with violet, lavender and cashmeran, and rounded off with the perfect combination of sumptuous vanilla and warm sandalwood.”
I’m not disagreeing, but where do people get the cardamom note listing from ?

A bit sweet, but better quality and much longer lasting than the rest of the Yardley range.
It’s simple and linear, but 12+ hours later is still there, fainter but barely changed.
The next day the apple becomes prominent.

Tried this along with the new 1770 for Men fragrance. The first reviewer gives a good breakdown of the scent. This lasts slightly longer than 1770 (see my review), but longevity and sillage still leave a LOT to be desired. That’s a real shame because they’re both perfectly nice fragrances I’ve really enjoyed smelling. Hope Yardley is listening. Even though the price is low, better value fragrances can be had in the same price range. A real shame. More’s the shame that this is supposedly an EDP–it wears like a very light EDT. In a similar price range you can get other British fragrances (Burberry line) that do your dollar much better justice.
