Gorgeous on first spray but dry down is a bit melon-y. All the same, a nice one to have in the bathroom for an everyday spritz, does remind of summer and enliven in the autumn or winter. Funnily enough I wouldn’t wear this in the summer, a bit cloying for the heat. Yes, I agree with reviewer who said it’s like Ambre Solarie, the sun oil. Not really a bad thing exactly. I like it, I don’t know why because it has some components I dislike in similar fragrance but it is blended well and intrigues. It is complex at the same time as being mainstream.

I love this scent! It is very delicate and elegant. It is not very sweet which makes it more of a woman’s perfume. The shimmering edition leaves a golden shine on your skin which is perfect when you are tanned. I really wish it would last longer on my skin. I usually use it along with the body and hair oil of the same series. I really really like this perfume and I would totally recommend it.

I’ve got the dry oil spray of this scent, which has no shimmer. it’s absolutely heavenly, I can’t recommend it highly enough!
I thoroughly recommend R&G’s body care products, they are easily absorbed, not too expensive and the moisturising effects last all day. they are delightfully scented and really enhance the scent of whichever fragrant water you choose.

Very orange, not citrus. That’s definitely my summer holidays in Mediterranea (Corsica) because I used it for at least 3 summers on the row. I started with the body oil with the same fragrance… and I nearly cried when I realized the ingredients were not so good (I started to use only bio organics products last year). But last week, when I was nostalgically smelling in a shop the oil bottle, I saw the ingredients have changed ! Happy ! I immediately bought another oil bottle and after my evening shower I sprayed it and with my man, we were like : “Oh….holidays…the sea, the sun…”
Really a mood up fragrance !

This is a pretty well blended fragrance, reminds me a little of one of the Acqua Di Parma fragrances. Lasted roughly 3-4 hours, find quite a lot of R and G’s products to be underrated, the quality is definitely there. You need to like oranges, a lot, to like this one, I certainly do. 7.5/10.00

A pleasant and pleasing aroma, with mild-orange and warmth….
I applied 6 heavy sprays
0 – 30 mins 1 foot projection. This comes out all warm and loving and instantly my heart is pleased and I am happy and carefree. The orange takes 30 secs to appear and its like a dull (yet lovely) mild orange cordial with mellowness and nothing bitter. The warm glow around this is semi-tropical, as the coconut is not defined, but offers this frag some level of depth. All in all it is lovely – ages approx 28-35
30 mins – 3 hours – 4 inch projection. This is quite tame and close to the skin- it is called sublime after all. More feminine now and I have to smell close to the skin to get a waft of this lovely smell
3 hours – 5 hours – 2 inch projection with some wider sillage
5 hours – 10 hours – Close to skin but you get random 1 foot sillage trails. This gets a little more sweeter on the skin and becomes more juvenille and much more feminine, ages 23- 30. Some of the sweetness is citrus like
This is a pleasant fragrance which is comforting and never sickening- it’s like an orange teddy bear.
IMHO much more feminine than masculine, not sure that this is suited for most men
Good

Very unique fragrance. Powerful, but not overwhelming. Had never really been into orange or more citrusy scent until I came across this line a few years ago. Love it. It’s got a very refreshing “right-out-of-shower” feel to it, which is why I always keep it in my bathroom, especially in the summer.

Successful blind buy! I love this stuff!!
Wonderful fresh citrusses to begin with, never sour but immediately sweetened by creamy coconut & vanilla. Soft florals in the background and a warm woodsy base. It’s really delicious!!
I would have wished for more sillage and better longevity, which are soft to moderate, but it’s definitely not a deal breaker for me.
I’m not the biggest fan of the shimmers, but even these can give you just that little extra summery touch 🙂
Will definitely buy again!

I bought this fragrance recently, and it’s absolutely amazing! And so unique!
The base notes is of course delicious vanilla and wood, but I also associated this fragrance with sweet, creamy honey – yum.
If you’ve ever tried L’oreal’s “Nourish and shimmer – highlights” shampoo or balsam, then this is kind of how the perfume smells – that was my first thought 🙂
I really like the gold bottle too, it matches its content with its rich, golden honey smell.
Another special thing about this fragrance is, that it contains gold shimmer. Some people may not like it, some will; but at the end, it’s not really noticeable – it’s just a hint of gold shimmer 🙂
Another thing I have to mention: If you’re thinking about buying the “Bois D’orange – Eau Fraiche”, then you need to know that this one is totally different from the ‘eau fraiche’ version. The ‘eau fraiche’ version is much more citrus-like compared to this one (the sublime) who’s much more warm, sweet and vanilla-like 🙂
When it comes to all, this is a really nice fragrance, mhmm, I love it!

If someone were to add a bit of Cucumbery freshness to this, it would be a ringer for Ambre Solaire Sun Oil. Not the diluted excuse for AS we have now, but the heady strong scent which used to fill the promendades and beaches in the 70s. The first announcement as it leaves the bottle is that of orange, but the rather bitter zesty note leaves almost immediatey when the perfume hits the skin and mellows with the aid of the coconut, Ylang and Jasmine into a deep, creamy, almost Tiare style slightly musky floral. As a fragrance, it is an absolute British holiday masterpiece. Comforting and soft, yet strangely mysterious, hinting at exotic climes, al fresco dinners by moonlight and a touch of Lion Rampant. I can’t see this being a good choice for winter days, it really does scream “Summer” in a Kiss Me Quick Hat. Could well be one of those all ages fragrances which your Great Aunt Hilda could wear in her deckchair, and the bright young things can screech about in as they clip clop, embodlened by brightly coloured alcoholic beverages and shoes to rival the Blackpool Tower, up the golden mile. You know? I don’t think even the lingering aroma of your vinegar soaked chips could damage the staying power of this little gem. It’s got a hell of a half life.
Nicely packaged with bling bling suspended in the juice to accentuate your bronzed collar bone and decolletage. Add it to your Holiday list, and a spray of this will keep you in the holiday mood all year long.
Cheap(ish) and cheerful without the celebrity endorsement to ruin it. You could do worse.

A delightful soft fragrance for Summertime. Citruses are gentle sweet and not sour. They present their sensuality helped by coconut, and ylang ylang. Orange blossom gives its creamy aroma and vanilla makes a warm background with the wood. Overall the fragrance has a tamed sweetness, a warm sunny caressing veil, keeping always its dryness so as to be perfectly balanced. Although not the most refreshing fragrance you have experienced, it has something exotic and cozy. If you combine this nice smell with its smooth shimmering effect on your skin, you have found a perfect everyday smell for hot days in town or at your vacation.

Lovely, reminds me of Lancome’s Aroma Sun, which I liked. Eau Sublime warms me in this cold weather. I even thought there was some benzoin too, it’s so warm and soft; vanilla is smooth, and coconut barely perceptible… all finely blended.

I saw this today in Marks & Spencer’s – I tried some of the matching dry body oil which was smooth and light with a warm orange scent. It’s sweeter than the regular bois de orange scent and really very lovely.
I would have tried the fragrance but it was very shimmery with a golden shimmer – not my style really, particularly in February!
