DISCONTINUED. Do not over-rate it and trick peeps into paying $100.00 for it as a “blind buy”. Not a nice thing to do. I’m sure there’s a fake cotton candy for Men out there. At worst, there MUST be a Mugler that is unisex. And smells like candy.

N8vDoll I guess the Pink is saccharin and the blue is aspartame?

I love this cologne! I’m a huge fan of Pink Sugar, so it was no surprise to me when I fell in love with Blue Sugar. It’s definitely sweet with a masculine edge. I could see this being unisex in some ways, although I feel the drydown leans more toward the masculine side. Yummy, sweet cotton candy that is sexy, masculine, and a bit dark… what could be better than that!

I bought a 1.7 blue sugar for me and pink sugar for my wife back in 2013 when I first started watching Youtubers like Robes 08 and
Drac Doc. There was no Jeremy back then and I remember that the OG Youtubers highly recommended this gourmand. Fast forward to 2018 and I still can’t find the courage to wear this outside my house, I have sprayed it on me a couple of times just to try it, but I didn’t go out. I’m just scared with all my US Marines tattoo showing deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan and the names of friends lost in combat tattooed on my arm (no disrespect to my brothers and may they Rest In Peace.) that people would give me a weird look, because I smell like a cotton candy. Now it’s just sitting in the back of my collection as a nice souvenir of my fragrance journey. I give props to men that has no trouble on rocking with this unique fragrance. My name for this fragrance is “Beauty and the Beast”, beauty for its uniqueness and beast for the longevity. I feel bad for people that loves this for getting discontinued.

WHY? Why do frags that everyone loves get discontinued? I’m not paying £200 for a bottle of this! All that happens when well loved scents are discontinued is that prices go up to ridiculous levels. Blue Sugar was a triumph as a unisex fragrance, it made people happy! It makes people ask what the beautiful smell is not decipher arcane notes of questionable substances. Who really wants to smell of blood? Or metal? Or smoke? Ok Blue Sugar and Pink sugar fill a room. They provide a cocoon of well being for the person who wears them. Bring it back! And why has YSL’s ‘Cinema’ suddenly gone? That was another of my happy feel good scents I could go on mourning the disappearance of favourites but it appears that the market only wants novelty and new products which have become increasingly bland and uninspiring.

The mens variation of Pink Sugar. Its muskier and heavier. Its a very unique scent for men in a sea of citrus and woodsy blends, this one really stands out.
The throw and wearability of this is amazing. And the Aquolina products are fairly priced.

This is good but very very sweet, not in a way that is too heavy or syrupy though. Personally I have to layer this with a lot of sandalwood vía by Kilian Sacred wood. Also some Ambroxan + a little iso e super that I have in my perfume closet. That seems to give me the desire to wear this one, more so than just having it by itself when I have so many others to choose from every day. I do not recommend building s large collection I’ve realized it’s so much nicer to just have a few like under 20 different ones, is the way to go I’ll warn ya

May i ask…why was this given the pink slip.?!
This thing is the very definition of beast mode…I’m looking at my dictionary right now and look, there’s a picture of Blue Sugar & a backup picture of….wait, it’s Joop! DAFUQ! Must be related.
    This is madness!
Now this fragrance would be for women if it wasn’t for cedar, licorice, star anise pulling the line.
    And i’m thankful for that.
Co-workers said i smell tasty(I’ll fucking take it).
Overall this is a beautiful fragrance!
    Groundbreaking…? FUCK NO!
But was it a sweet gourmand done right? HELL FUCKING YES!
This is a hidden gem, in all sense of the word.
And it’s vanishing, less and less of these sexy beast are left free to roam the earth…free to run wild in the world. They’re going extinct, for just $120 a bottle you too can save these beautiful creatures. All i need now is that song from Sarah Mclaughlin – In the Arms of Angel to play in the background while you’re reading this.
I used six sprays…both wrist, back & front of my neck, chest and front of my shirt.
    Will I buy this again?…YES!
Does this fragrance enter BEAST MODE, good, just okay or weak sauce at best? BEAST MODE!
What’s the strength of this? EDT.
Am i willing to trade this fragrance? NO!
Should You Skipped It, Sample It First or Blind Buy It? Blind buy worthy for gourmand lovers only (for everyone else…get a sample of it before spending your money, or try pink sugar).
Can you use it as a unisex scent? NO!
Is it the old, new formulation? New.
What’s its availability; in production, limited edition or discontinued? Discontinued.
    SKU Number: 8032622918014
Batch Number: 626408 (Production Date: September 20, 2016, i know the batch code get recycled/reset every ten years… so i’m guessing 2016 was meant to be 2006…but i’m just putting down what checkcosmetic dot net said).
    Age: 18+
    From: Craigslist
    Size: 50 ML
    Scent: 5/5 (Amazing).
    Value: 3.5/5 (Cost $30.00).
Sillage: 5/5 (Six feet plus, it screams look at me).
    Longevity: 5/5 (12 hours plus).
Creativity: 5/5 (Sweet sweet diabetes, god damn it’s delicious…a gourmand lover’s drug).
Projection: 5/5 (With all honesty, it hasn’t stopped!).
Versatility: 3.5/5 (Anytime & anywhere during the late fall, winter and early spring only).

This is a really great cologne/perfume for men (and women) comparable to Dior Feve Delicious without the strong amber/cherry background. It projects strongly and everyone notices me when I wear it. People smell bubble gum and cotton candy on me. It used to be very affordable back in the day, now that its discontinued the prices have gone up, but the price is still very reasonable for its quality. This is a great choice of gourmand to start with if youre new to the category. You definitely smell very sweet and edible! I usually wear it on its own but I also layer it with other floral, oriental, or woodsy type of fragrances to add a little bit of sexiness to the scent!

I got my hands on this back in 2012 when it was around 18$ I see as of now the price has went up on this bad boy I’m glad I got 2 bottles and out of all the colonges I got in my collection this one stands out on my skin at first in get a cotton candy smell and then it dries down into a birthday cake smell with the cotton candy in the background its a great night out scent I put this as my most daring scent I have received complements for this cologne needless to say this is gonna stay in my collection for a very long time I love this cologne.

Have to write another review for sure
I hated blue sugar when I first tried it so I gave it to my husband.each time he wore it I thought about that how much this smells good on him.finally I decided to give it another try on my skin and now I loooove it
I don’t what was the reason of that first impression but I also disliked pink sugar in first tests and now I adore it.I believe they are so complex that my nose needed time to analyze their beauty
Blue sugar is a masterpiece.a super uni gourmand perfume for men which is also wearable by women.very potent and almost a sillage monster.I can smell all the notes listed now but most dominant on me is something chocolate like and licorice.doesnt smell really like cotton candy as pink sugar does but this one is darker, even more complex and more sexy
    Please re-release this masterpiece
    ❤❤❤❤❤

I went to a Katy Perry themed party in college and wanted to smell like cotton candy. Found it on Amazon for reasonably cheap. I’ve only worn it to parties, and it does exactly what it says: makes you smell like cotton candy. It’s gourmand to the extreme, and there are some “woody” notes peppered in I guess for good measure, but make no mistake: if you don’t like smelling like candy, don’t try this.
Don’t wear it much, but it’s fun to have around.

There are some male perfumes that I like to wear myself but I don’t.lets say I didn’t
I have three aquolina perfumes, pink sugar, gold sugar and chocolover.I love all three so I decided to collect others
Unfortunately aquolina perfumes aren’t popular in my country and they’re not available in shops or sites.but I saw blue sugar in a perfume shop and from that day I’m dreaming about it.I know it’s for men but look at the notes.cotton candy, licorice, staranise, tonka and lavender are my favorite notes and lots of reviews said that it’s wearable for women too.also I heard it’s discontinued so it was a bargain(a 100mil unsealed bottle for 40$)so I ordered it
When I first sprayed it I felt sick.it was one of the worst and most disgusting smells I’ve ever experienced.maybe it had changed because I can’t believe a perfume to be this much bad smelling.it was like a sticky mixture of sour and sweet rotten fruits(mostly rotten grape to be specific) and dirty patchouli doused in alcohol that was shadowing the real scent and it’s not a matter of skin chemistry,it’s like that when sprayed on clothes too
I’m proud of myself because of being very brave for tolerating those 30 minutes.that disgusting smell starts fading so that after another 15 minutes most of it is gone.now I can smell licorice, staranise, tonka and lavender.it’s a heaven of dark powder, reminds me drydown of Lolita lempicka.I really don’t find it very sweet, maybe because I can’t detect any cotton candy yet,but I agree blue sugar can be considered unisex
I passionately hate it’s initial phase also love it’s drydown so I don’t know what’s my feelings about this blindbuy.unfortunately initial phase makes ny stomach turn and I have difficulty trying not to scrub on the other hand it’s drydown is a licorice, powder heaven and seems to be addictive.longevity and sillage are both very good
I wish something changes after some time
    Edit:
I gave it to my husband and things seem to be very different smelling it on someone else
Now I thing there’s nothing horrible here and it also hadn’t turned
I always have difficulty handling presence of syrupy sourish notes in sweet, heavy fumes (I have such a problem with manifesto, lancome la vie edp, ungaro fruit gold)
First phase of blue sugar that bothers me is a combination of bergamot and mandarin orange with patchouli and sweet notes and a dash of coriander.these citrus notes seem to be not prominent for others but to my nose They rule over first hour of application and I can’t Tolerate their presence though I can stand it on my husband
We both think that this is a very unique and complex scent for men and not overly sweet.I don’t know anything similar branded for men so if you’re looking for an interesting combination of sweet and spicy notes with some citruses and powder give it a try
It’s very potent.longlastinh and great projection

I love it, and I bought it for me, although is gendered for men. spotted in a old fashioned tobacco shop, lying alone and forgotten in a corner waiting for a pious soul to take it home, was for me like an abandoned dogs in the kennel waiting for a master.
So, Blue Sugar was my adoption of the heart, because in reality I just sniffed and decided immediately to take it with me.
And ‘a man’s scent, it is true, but I took him naturally, I don’t care about gender marketing that, in my opinion, does not exist in perfumery.
Blue sugar is sweetness, as Pink Sugar the rest, but in a more ’round way” and less cloying. If you love gourmand but not so ‘much … blue sugar is for you. and then, I am a lover of licorice in any form and way, from marshmallows to the liquor passing through the candies. this perfume liquorice eaves and cotton candy and then anise and again glows with the freshness of lavender and bergamot and coriander. I love it

Al haramaim does an oil called Blue sugar. I don’t know if it’s a copy of Aquolina’s, cause I never smelled it. But I got a sample of this oil and I think it may be a copy, considering the ingredients and what I personally smell in it.

It’s so frustrating when the notes are wrong on fragrantica. Going by the ones listed, this sounded like a wonderful scent. And I’m still optimistic that the ones listed would smake an excellent fragrance.
I was so sure I was safe from the overly screechy fake vanilla overdose that is marketed to female gourmand lovers when I found this on here. I was so excited because I LOVE licorice and spice and even lavender. Definitely cottoncandy! But no…it was a lie.
So the real notes are as follows:
Top – bergamot, tangerine leaves, star anise, and ginger.
Heart – liquorice, patchouly leaves, lavender, heliotrope, and coriander.
Base – caramel, vanilla, cedarwood, and tonka bean.
This list was on the paper that came with the perfume. I’m so pissed. It’s a lovely scent that I can definitely see appealing to guys and gals both, however, I’m super allergic to fake vanilla so this is a no-go for me. The top notes were beautiful, but only lasted a few seconds on me. Then it went straight to harshest vanilla with undertones of male beauty products, like shaving creme and generic overpowering cologne.
Not technically a bad scent, just one of those that you PRAY none of your co-workers wear to the office or that you end up stranded in a hot elevator with. Because I will barf on your shoes. No matter how pretty it is, a large portion of the population is sensitive to these sharp synthetic concoctions. Wear it (applied sparringly) to the club or an open-air event, but please, please not an enclosed space.
    Headache and nausea-inducing for sho.

I tried this as a newbie and when my sensitivity was too high, so it was too sweet (couldn’t really get beyond the sweetness). Now my sensitivity is low and I can appreciate it – it’s certainly sweet but the other notes balance things out. Other than the sweetness, the rest is like one big accord, and the overall impression is somewhere between cake-like and candy-like. There’s something in here that reminds me of New Haarlem by Bond No. 9 as well, the texture along with some sort of gourmand quality that is abstract (the closest thing would be Prune Danish). And it’s not “synthetic,” which probably would have ruined it for me. In any case, I see someone on ebay has two 50 ml bottles for $44 each, which isn’t all that expensive relative to recent designers in the dept. stores (almost all of which I would not wear), so complaining about “crazy prices” may itself be crazy! LOL.

Aquolina’s Blue Sugar is my fragrance to go last few winter months. Very comforting, warm and cozy scent with strong gourmond and – surprisingly, at same time, clean sillage.
This one I bought for my son when he was twenty, but he found it too sweet to wear it, so he gave it to me.
I find many unisex fragrances on masculine side as I notice barber shop scent in and I can’t wear them. This one is even categorised as for men, but I find it more on feminine side on my skin.

I have most of the aqoulina fragrances under the pink sugar line. I appreciate the male version i just got a 3.4 ounce bottle in 2016 10 years after production costly but i had to have one. I couldnt take reading about it anymore and snaped the fragrance is a cotton candy tonka bean star anis mix the citrus note do open the fragrance but in a kind of nasty cream cheese way that quickly fades out i was grossed out for a second but then the dry down came through my disappointment is only in the fact that i couldnt detect lavender.i also think that they should have only chose licorice or the star anis so other scents could have a more domanite role in the end product.i get a caramel note that isnt listed but its nice and gourmand. Over all i am
..very hapy to own this endangered fragrance so to speak lol its a great addition i just wish it had a bit more citrus and that the lavender would play a role in this …but its Manley candylicous

Blue sugar, omg! This smells like cotton candy cookies! Maybe this should just be officially re-branded as a unisex fragrance. This has no gender, if you like the smell of sweet, baked goods but with the right woody drydown to balance the sweetness, than this is for you. It could give Pink Sugar a run for it’s money, nah they’re both good!

Much fanfare for little event, many confetti for almost anything show and red carpet for stardom that I can not understand. Aquolina is serious House and Mitou creating Chocolovers (discontinued) and the sweetest Pink Sugar, however, the Blue Sugar, in my view, is just another male gourmand scent that came and was not for some reason, perhaps not so obvious. Opening with brown sugar cubes and more synthetic bergamot who do not know what they want to be after all, go back and forth and reveal sweet and citrus without leaving it, and with time that will come and they fight and end up loathing the exit. In the middle we still perceive bitter remnants of opening assembled a Lavender, in an attempt to virilizar fragrance, but without success, because it is a tone “contemporary boy” so explicit that there is no aromatic note in the world can you assign a judgment manly; you can feel the smell of vine flushed from the middle notes, something green that dried in the sun and then set on fire. Finally, Blue Sugar shows the touch of Aquolina in their final grades, that happy tone velvet and colorful as chocolates candies discs of M & M’s that are super joy, present in all its fragrances along with a few drops of anise and Tonka docinha super badly used, which only denotes a resinous nuance because the scandalous bitter there from the beginning is almost imperceptible at this stage. Fixed more that can design, nothing amazing. There discontinued best, worth far more our tears and endless searches. I think and I said, cáspita!
Word of the day: soft… (day 30)

I thought this was gonna be a winner for me upon first spray. I love the sugar cotton candy aspect of this. But waaaaaaaay too much licorice comes out on my skin on the dry down. If that note wasn’t there this would be a sure fire winner for me.
I’ve never tried the others of the “sugar” line so maybe one of those doesn’t have the licorice in it. But I can’t wear this one and it’s a shame.

The first time I wore Blue Sugar to work, a coworker walked by my cubicle and exclaimed, “Ooooh! Who brought cookies?!”
However, every other person who smells Blue Sugar on me says I smell like cotton candy. When I wore it around my mother, she said, “Mmmm! You smell like cotton candy!” To me, Blue Sugar smells like homemade carmalized sugar and blasts of black licorice. A prickly patchouli manages to break through along with a smooth vanilla (tonka) that softens the fragrance.
Perfect for the arctic weather in winter months!
With that said, I I must be in the right mood to wear it.
    Why?
Because Blue Sugar projects and lasts and projects more and lasts even longer. I wore it to work one day, and it last through the work day! After work, it lasted through my weight lifting session and through my 15 minute stretch/cool down in the steam room! I wish fragrances built to last like Blue Sugar!
If you don’t want to pay $100 for a 50ml, then buy the copy cat designer oils. The one I ordered from is Aroma-Center and it smelled IDENTICAL to the juice in the bottle. Goodluck!

Blue Sugar or ‘Blue Fantasy?! Incomprehensibly deep with fiery anise, and caramelised sugar. Red orange, is weak. Actually, she is invisible, together with lemon.Tonka been is my everything is this parfume+ supreme sweetness. Oo ‘Jes, this is all I want from parfume. It costs almost nothing, and gives more than life. Yes, Aquoliona says it ceased production! Sad but, just as well, ’cause I have almost two full bottles, and for me the magic will never stop: the blue tiger came from the sky, tiger nicer than the truth, proud and brave, forever bitten demons. And then this December 31, and then they will forever stand the weather, time of recall, and also the joy, and a carousel that spins empty. Blue Sugar, is more than a dream, he actually fantasy!

    Che profumo! UNICO

I am SHOCKED that people are paying that much for this! As previous posters stated, I got mine for like $15! I’m soooo glad I got it when I did. I actually swapped this away and then bought it again a few months later (in like 2013). It’s such an amazing scent! All the discontinued Aquolina scents (esp. Blue Sugar, Chocolovers) were under-appreciated in their time and now people are realizing how awesome they were! I love that this scent is so unisex. On me it starts off as licorice cotton candy, and then the cedar is VERY prominent in the drydown (although present from the beginning in some amount). It smells sooo good!

I originally loved the idea of a very sugary, sweet scent. I saw Pink Sugar first, but decided on Blue Sugar because I wanted something a little more masculine and I wasn’t too keen on smelling like the personification of a Lisa Frank illustration. Blue Sugar is definitely sweet, and for the first few days I wore it I quite enjoyed the scent. But after a half year or so of involving it in my rotation I think I’ll stick to blue sugar as a “if I’m in the mood for it” sort of scent. Not something I’d wear often.
The primary note is definitely cotton candy, a pure unrefined sugar sort of scent (I don’t get the caramel that other people seem to mention; caramel implies a soft buttery aspect to me, while this scent is sharp). The other main notes seem to play well with this strong cotton candy aspect, the mild and warm spice of licorice and anise balance things fairly well. Upon dry down though the scent becomes a little too powdery for my liking. It’s almost like a very light cloud of confectioners sugar is lingering in the air. It occasionally made my eyes water and I felt like I may need to sneeze eventually (It has never actually made me sneeze, to be clear, but it definitely evokes the feeling that you may need to in a minute or two).
As I said, I still plan on occasionally wearing it, but only when I’m not going to be close to anyone for a prolonged period of time; this fragrance projects for sure. I’d imagine wearing it when it’s hot would also be a big no no.

This is a great scent. Now let me quantify that. This is not for everyone. If you don’t like sweet scents, stay away! If you like 80’s power bombs, stay away! This is very sweet but to me the anise, licorice, and coriander make this wearable for men. I also get a pimento note even though none exist in the note break down. This is sweet up top but in the mid the spicy notes come in and this fragrance becomes much more wearable. Longevity and projection are also excellent. I ultimately get a sweet, spicy, cotton candy and anise/licorice smell. I really like this one and picked up a couple bottles before it became expensive. I think women will like this more than men as well.

If you like sweet, or your wife wants you to smell sweet, this is pretty sweet, hah. It is a little more masculine than cotton candy, but pretty much smells like you showered in cotton candy. Too sweet for me, maybe good for you. Smells like it reads up there.
I may have judged this a little quick with all the cotton candy up front. The dry down actually has a sweet spicy patchouli that is pretty enjoyable. I will likely have my small decant quite a while though.

I found BLUE SUGAR in search for any masculine Cotton Candy frags. I definitely was not disappointed with this one. It is a great find. I don’t know why Aquolina has discontinued this frag.. it seems to have a following for sure. I think it is because Cotton Candy is rarely ever used in mens perfumery, and it is done great here.
Upon the opening I get the bergamot citrus with a definite cotton candy accord that never really goes away throughout the life of the frag (which I love). The mid the licorice/anise come out, and then the dry-down is very vanillic (probably from the Tonka).
I found it quite similar to the womens version PINK SUGAR, but because of the Patchouli in BLUE SUGAR it makes it just a bit more darker (masculine). But don’t be totally fooled. Upon comparing side by side. I actually find BLUE SUGAR more of a syrupy sweetness, and PINK SUGAR more of a vanillic sweetness. So in this case.. the mens version of this scent is even more sweet than the womens. Very interesting.
Love this frag..if it was not discontinued.. I would wear it way more often. Very innovative especially for a mans fragrance wardrobe. I think this is one of the sweetest designer men’s frags ever!

Great juice! Has been discontinued! You can still find it on EBay and other sources, but the price is about double. However, since the original price was so reasonable the double price isn’t so bad. Get it while you can!

One word. Beautiful! The licorice in this is fantastic. Along with the vanilla to make it almost caramel like. Guys, don’t let the cotton candy note turn you off. Although its different than your ordinary men’s cologne it is very gourmand but it doesn’t smell like those tramps that walk around the hallways in school.

Full disclosure: I love and wear this myself, the bottle was purchased for me and me alone. 🙂 I have gotten compliments from both men and women when I wear it.
I LOVE IT…I get bergamot (fleeting) at the top, followed quickly by licorice, anise, burnt sugar and cedar…and it lasts ALL DAY. One spritz on each wrist and a bit at my nape and I’m good to go.
This is sweet, but not cloying…not candy sweet but intriguing sweet. I love gourmands and this one is so decidedly interesting that I recommend it to everyone. I love the unisex packaging so that both genders are equally interested, and the fragrance just wows.
A little goes a long way, so this 3.4 fl oz bottle has lasted me AGES. I would buy again if this ran out, immediately.

Im not big into gourmands but was told this was a good gourmand to start off on or even for people that dont usually tend to like gourmands but just want a sweet scent.
And that was pretty accurate because this cologne really surprised me. Its very unique but quite simple at the same time. Ive never smelled any other cologne like this but its nothing to daring or out there. Its simply a cologne that smells sweet and pleasing. This smell reminds me of cookies that are fresh out of the oven. A VERY pleasing scent and I must say, ladies that have a sweet tooth really enjoy this !
Performance wise this is also very good. It projects well above average and lasts me on close to 8 hrs every time.
Id give this a final rating of 8 out of 10 ! Ill deff be purchasing this when the colder months come around 🙂
