Amouage’s ‘Blossom Love’ was initially love-at-first-sniff. It was so intoxicatingly dreamy, that it made me feel like an excited wet-pantied teenager at a Justin Bieber concert. Initially it was all I’d ever dreamed of – beautiful floral, sexy, feminine and unique. I loved how even though the bottle was pink, it didn’t smell too girly, sickly nor sweet, it was just perfect.
After the initial spray and for the first few hours the rose, Ylang and blossom are the 3 main characters which comfort and caress your senses, like Destiny’s Child harmonising angelically. But rather than Beyoncé taking solo stage later on, they all slip away leaving my worst nightmare… vanilla, vanilla, vanilla and more sickly-sweet vanilla. I hate vanilla as it’s the friend you don’t invite to parties since it covers you in thick, creamy, jizz-custard, so ruins everything and makes you feel nauseous.
I was all ready to buy a bottle until the dry-down struck.

WOW! WOW! WOW! Sprayed on sample I received with “Sunshine” and was
immediately in love. Ordered after about an hour and a half! Can’t wait!
    Beautiful scent.

This is nice. I’m not sure it’s Amouage prices nice, but I do like it. There’s a soft, non-powdery floral that I don’t recognize with just a hint of rose and fruit in the background.
The fruit is subtle enough that I’d group this with florals, not fruity-florals, which usually have much more prominent fruit.
I rather wish the bottle wasn’t opaque pink, though. I hope it looks less plasticy in person.

Ridiculous. The reason I`m outraged is that this fragrance is no different from cheap celebrity or designer scents. I smelled this exact smell so many times before in drugstores, on the cheap end. Never liked it.
Fruity floral in the worst way. I wouldn`t care, only if it cost $15-20, not more. That`s how cheap it smells.

For me this perfume can by summarised as ‘creamy rose with a subtle complex base’. Its simply beautiful and unique, nothing else I have smelled is similar (I look for uniqueness in perfumes where possible). I bought a tester and the creamy rose scent dominated but there was a strong skanky note to it which was almost challenging and I was kind of embarrassed that I liked the perfume. I ummed and ahhed for ages before I decided I loved it and bought a full bottle. In the full bottle the perfume was much better balanced and the skanky note becomes part of the background, adding to the complexity of the fragrance rather than standing out as a note on its own. I only need one spray on clothing, it lasts all day and still smells divine 24h later. I get compliments every time I wear it.

Syrupy cherry blossom, but there is something a bit sour and challenging here. Rich, well-blended juice. Suede underpinnings. There’s a honeyed note to this, I suppose that could be the amber.

Can’t believable that this cuteness came from one of the most famous middle east powerhouse like Amouage. This must aim more targets on younger and non-Arabian customers as well which is very nice and much more easier to love.My favorite Amouage is Dia for women, but this is another different story. The creaminess of cherry blossom got me a beautiful whiff all day matching its pastel pink bottle. The boozy part prevents it from being too young or too boring.Good sillage and longevity.Interesting!

Amouage Blossom Love is a beautiful floral scent with cherry blossom prominent throughout its wear time. In fact, I could still smell it and other floral notes I couldn’t name after 12 hours of wearing. It is like sitting in an English Garden on a hot summer day and just being enveloped by all the lush floral scents The perfume settles into a beautiful vanilla gourmand scent, which makes me think of freshly baked cookies. Blossom Love has such staying power that I could still smell the warm vanilla base the next morning when I woke up.

    It’s not dislike.
    It’s not like.
    That’s the problem.
I’m rarely underwhelmed by Amouage. Surprisingly after a couple of days with Blossom Love, I’m exactly that.
Some of my favorite notes are used to compose Blossom Love. Heliotrope, tonka bean, suede, rose are all present, but NONE have won me over in the hours of wear. They don’t present separately nor would I describe them as well blended. They just seem somewhat mushed together and non-descript with very little development.
I was expecting something powdery or slightly sweet, as is my normal experience with heliotrope and cherry blossom, but not this time. I think the color of the bottle also served to reinforce that expectation. Typically I know better than to make such an assumption about packaging.
It’s floral, of course… think wild flowers, but something slightly sour lingers on my skin. Is that the amaretto??? If so, it’s an amaretto sour and I’m sending it back to the bar.

On me, I get a huge suede note after the opening cherry blossom and a musky something. faint vanilla whiffs underneath the hunk of suede. Need to wear this a second time..a bit perplexing …

Cherry blossom with a touch of powdery-ness is what I pick up. Fairly soft. Funny, I typically am not a fan of cherry blossom scents or heavy powder scents, but I do like this, and those are the two/only accords that I pick up, so they are nicely done to my nose/on my skin. Why did I order this when I am not a fan of cherry blossom or powdery notes? I guess I was looking at the overall notes. The combined notes looked interesting to me.
Anyway… A wee hint of sweetness peeks through on occasion, but not a sugar bomb at all. More of a grown-up sweetness, if you will. I wish I could pick up the amaretto note, but I guess that is the occasional sweetness peeking through. Or perhaps the vanilla note is the sweetness, although I do not pick up a distinct vanilla note. Still, it would be nice to distinctively detect the amaretto note here. Not really picking up any of the other notes, either.
But for me, this is a soft light cherry blossom with a powdery-ness and a wee hint of sweetness saying “hello!” now and then..nicely done. Very much a like, almost a love. This will be very nice for Spring and Summer (any time of year, really, but especially great for Spring and Summer..some scents just do better in certain months), sort of a clean type smell to this, as well. Interesting. Very much a strong like..may very well turn to love, the more I wear this… ❤️

This perfüme seems to be right up my alley. If I didn’t know better, I’d think it was made just for me. I actually got to test spray a bit. Oh Good Lord. This is a must have. However, the hefty price tag $300 especially after the holidays. Not any time soon for me.Well, Maybe this fall I’ll procure a smaller sized bottle. But, the best description of this perfüme was “A femme biker, dressed in suede riding her Harley Davidson Through Cherry Blossoms.”.

Jergen’s Cherry Almond, But 2.0 and Rough Around the Edges
I LOVE the idea of Cherry Blossom. I’ve been on the hunt for a cherry blossom perfume forever, but they are usually too faint, sweet, or watery for my taste. This is more up to my speed. Cherry Blossom infused with booze, suede, vanilla, and rose? Sign me up. It’s like a femme biker version of the delicate cherry blossom motif.
The floral side of BL is mostly in the opening. It’s lovely but a little much, the heliotrope/cherry blossom intertwining with a scent of sweet/acrid whiskey. I like it alot but I’m glad it doesn’t last long. Then the almond/powder REALLY comes out…if you don’t like the bitter, rough almond powder here you won’t like this perfume because that’s what sticks around for the longest. The rose floral notes come out as it starts to dry down, and the perfume becomes more nuanced, and less ‘floral bouquet.’ And does this get dark…the powder darkens up, the suede comes out…while still having a lovely lingering cherry blossom on top. The drydown lasts for hours, and it smells like suede, powder, and skin musk, infused with a hint of vanilla and cherry blossom.
So this perfume is NOT a girly pink garden party type. She’s long and dark, and gritty, but likes to wear great floral perfume. Also it really does remind me of a refined version of Jergen’s Cherry Blossom lotion, especially as it mixes with your body chemistry and you add a nice layer of good old musk and heat to it.
    Love it.

I absolutely hate it. If you would like to buy the decant I received from Scentbird pm me.
While it seems to be described as creamy or powdery for many, it just smells harsh on me, a total clash of notes. When I think about it though, do I really want to smell like a bouquet mixed with amaretto?

OMG! I received this as a gift from a VERY special person after testing and falling in love with it. Maybe the SCENTiment attached made me appreciate it more once I had a full bottle in my possession but… WOW. just WOW. Complements everywhere I go, this perfume is as inoffensive as it is sexy with a ton of class. I love that it has silage for DAYS too! Worth the splurge.

Floral – creamy boozy – powdery leather
    Color impression: salmon pink
Something in Blossom Love conceive a baby-face mature woman; Diane Keaton maybe. It’s a contradictory mix of two themes. One side stands a creamy almond, semi-gourmand booze and blossomy air that promise for powdery delicacy, the other side rusty rose, ylang ylang and vanilla appear grown and brings a restrained bliss.
First opens girly and punk and gradually shifts in a linear performance through a powdery leather with scabrous-surface and finally remains gummy musky floral.

    This is freaking awesome!
Amouage was always a perfume brand I had a lot of respect for it.all those complicated, powerful, memorable fragrances, well I couldn’t ignore them,I even liked and owned some of them but I always thought there’s nothing for me to love among amouages, not really.sunshine made little flashes of hope glow in my heart.this hope grew with lilac love.I like it a lot and finally it’s something I can call my type. But Love Blossom… it’s more than my expectations.I LOVE it with a capital L!
Amouage love blossom has floral aspects and gourmand aspects.it’s floral aspect is a real darling.flowers are a tad powdery in a youthful, tender way and they’re blended very well but I can detect cherry blossom and rose.though floral aspects of this perfume are adorable what makes it irresistible for me are it’s gourmand facets.almond is the strongest thing I can smell.yes,it has sort of a boozy undertone but it also has an awesome burnt vibe.the boozy, burnt almond hand in hand with suede create a special rough bitterness which goes very well with vanilla-praline-ish sweetness that I can detect.actually mentioned bitterness makes it even more delicious!
If you are a gourmand lover and have a sweet tooth but you also want something a little more complicated than most sweeties out there you have to check it out.it’s addictive and modern and while being memorable it’s easy to wear.for me it’s wearable year round in case weather isn’t hot
Sillage is impressive in it’s first hours.you project this delicious scent of sweet cherry-praline(I know there’s no praline among notes but I can feel something similar),bitter almond and some rosey florals for couple of hours.then it softens to a gorgeous soft, powdery floral scent.not gourmand or as sweet as it’s first phase but still modern and very pretty.unfortunately it’s very close to skin in this phase.all in all it lasts about 8hours on me which is very good but there are numerous stronger amouages out there
For me amouage love blossom is a 10/10 .I wish to see other favorites among amouage fragrances in future

saffron lutes, tonka beans, heliotrope, almonds, ylang, amber, and powder.
It has that almond bitter taste added to sweet tonka, & soured by the ylang, then softened by heliotrope, & powder effect, then sharpened by saffron, and roses.
    Impressive!

If you are a lover of almonds and heliotrope you will probably like this fragrance. Normally I love heliotrope and I like many almond forward fragrances as well, but this one was not for me. It opened on my skin with a syrupy cherry note and a bitter very funky animalic amaretto and an indolic ylang jumped in also. The suede note was a like a dirty animal on my skin. The first thing that came to mind was, it smells pungent rather like skunk spray on my skin.
The drydown did reveal some pretty heliotrope and a more powdery almond. I get what the perfumer was going for and it is well done, but this fragrance is definitely not for me. I can imagine it smelling great on others, but Blossom Love was a funktastic critter fest on my skin. More for everyone else!

  20. :

Heliotrope do not seem to get along with the Tonka in this!
So far, the worst cloying scent I’ve ever smelled. Peroid.

What really surprised me about wearing this was that it IS distinctly Amouage. Yes, there was the cherry-sweet-honey-ylang-tonka-almond. But it was not overwhelmingly “foodie” and the heliotropin added a delightful powder to this. Underneath however, was the unmistakable imprint of that woody-deep ever so slight labdanum quality that is considerably heavier in other Amouages. Nose to wrist, I got more than just Amaretto bisquits. Up close on my decolletage it got warmer and a tad sweeter and floral cherry. It never veers (due to the “honey note”) into “cat pee” territory–ever. This is not the most “foodie” and sweet perfume out there, and compared to a lot of “vanillas” (pick one, any one), it is not supremely foodie and there is enough nuance and sophistication and floralcy to keep it interesting.
I did not find it “girlie”–but a young woman, certainly could wear it and I’m sure would carry it well–but as a more “mature woman” I think it wore nicely too–it’s a versatile fragrance, and contrary to the “day time votes” I think it would be lovely to snuggle up to, either alone with a good blanket and Netflix or a special someone on a winter’s eve.
Just as there is “gourlinade” to many Guerlains, there is something about Amouage which makes it unlike other houses with the possible exception being their Amouage Bracken Woman where they went into some major wilderness territory.
That “Amouage note” softened as the day went on–but the longevity and silage carried through, another aspect that makes Amouage a superior house to many.
Finally, I never get compliments on perfume. It doesn’t matter if it’s Serge Lutens, or Papillon, or Creed–rarely do I get someone complimenting my perfume. Recently the two that garnered a LOT of compliments:
Amouage Blossom and House of Matriarch Bittersweet Symphony. I wear perfume for myself most of all–though I don’t want to fumigate others, but it’s quite nice I must say when the scent gets compliments, and Blossom is a crowd pleaser! Not an absolute favorite or a deep love by a long-shot from the House of Amouage, but I like it very much. Hope a large bottle falls into my life for comfort wear and gentle happiness.

I really liked this fragrance on my girlfriend and in actual fact although feminine, Blossom Love’s swee,t gourmand tones are something I would very much enjoy wearing myself. It starts out with a hugely sweet opening but there’s enough inherent quality and restraint in the fragrance so nothing comes off as cheap. Cherry blossom is obvious immediately and then there’s a development of that disaronno theme but to me it’s not that boozy but more like amaretti buscuits so yeah essentially the same thing. The base is a definite tonka bean but maintaining a lovely floral nature too.
This might be a common, some might say cliched theme aimed towards women… soft, floral, foodie scents but when done nicely, I can’t help but appreciate them. It sits low and settles down to much less sweet scent which is just plain nice.

  23. :

    5 out of 5

It’s VERY pleasant and a crowd pleaser. It’s not what I would expect from Amouage. I don’t mean it as a bad thing it’s just not their usual offering. If I did a blind test I would have guess that it’s from Bond no 9. The scent is very smooth (no sharp alcoholic smell) and it’s very well blended. It’s a little soapy on me (reminds me of Camay soap). Projection and sillage is moderate and it’s surprisingly long lasting for a light scent. The price tho is ridiculous. Twice the price of other 100ml Amouage perfumes. If it’s a hundred dollars cheaper I would pinch and scrape and be hungry for a month just to get that pretty, pretty bottle.
Edit: I just wanna add that I didn’t notice any oud in this. My skin usually amplify oud.
Edit: @StellaDiverFlynn described it perfectly imho.

  24. :

    5 out of 5

Blossom Love is floral and sweet, but thanks to the amaretto( or almond note) the sweetness is tamed down, at least a bit.
So for a while the scent goes in a dual mode, sweet and slightly dry and bitter ( although bitter is not the exact description).
In the end the floral, sweet fruity notes are not obvious, and we are left with Amber, vanilla and a vague Woody note.
The drydown is more elegant than the opening, which is too loud and very ” Paris Hilton” type of scent.
It isn’t bad but for the price I would test it and think it twice.

  25. :

    5 out of 5

I love the scent of almonds but find a lot of almond fragrances to be a gentle whisper of almond. Not this beauty. Heady, wafting, intense almond swirling around me all day long. I love this fragrance and reach for it when I want something intensely sweet but still with a touch of maturity. The drydown on me is a lot of tonka which smells more evening- a little sexier than the floral/almond first phase. Gosh I love this fragrance but I have to have a little bit of an attitude for it in order not to be overwhelmed by the headiness. When I spray this on my chest I can still smell it the next day.

  26. :

    3 out of 5

I find it horrible. Ok, this is not my stile, my way to mean a perfume, but I actually think that even who like this kind of notes would pretend more from an Amouage.
More originality, more complexity, more beauty, more emotions.

  27. :

    3 out of 5

This is pretty, and reminds me of something, but I can’t seem to put my finger on what. I think it’s lovely, but I don’t think it’s good/different enough to pay Amouage prices for. I would consider buying it if it was less than maybe $150, but then again I could probably find something I’d like more; however, sweet florals are not really my thing. I get NO oud here, so I’m not sure what other ppl here are getting that smells like oud. I get mostly cherry blossom, rose, and amaretto (in that order); with some heliotrope and tonka in the background. If you like sweet florals this should be on your test list!

Oh wow, this one is amazing to me! Powdery, sweet, feminine, floral, but with all the edges rounded. I agree with genny17, it has an oriental/middle eastern vibe. It would make me feel so fresh and dry on a hot day. My skin does not bring out the liquer or syrupy facets, but maybe that is a matter of weather or my hormones at the moment. I can detect all the notes, but the ylang and bergamot are subtle (usually my chemistry amplifies ylang ylang, but not here).
I am testing from a manufacturers sample, but I could easily wear Blossom Love all summer long, and still look forward to wearing it again the next year. It makes me think about one of my other favorite big powdery fragrances: What We Do In Paris Is Secret.

  29. :

    4 out of 5

This has such a middle eastern vibe, Amouage just isn’t for me, the top notes are heady, it doesn’t make me think of love blossoming one bit.I would agree with Mooniq that it has that Loulou in your face vibe..
.I think if you love Amouage, you will find everything right about that one…for me, it just clashes in every sense of the word., I find the amaretto vibe overpowers the other notes, it isn’t soft , it isn’t pretty, it is thick and syrupy…not my style frankly…very expensive, only for lovers of thick oriental sweet stuff,

  30. :

    3 out of 5

I was afraid the Amaretto accord would simply be almond (which I really don’t care for), but turned out much much better! It’s sweet, creamy, and slightly boozy, which compliments the cherry blossom perfectly! Another light pink floral this is not–it actually smells rich and dense!
Unfortunately this fragrance only truly shined when Amaretto was prominent; the drydown is somewhat lackluster :/

I got a sample today. It starts sharp but after 30 minutes it turns to a great Heliotrope/Tonka/Amber/Vanilla-mix with a small splash of Amaretto. My mind whisper – this reminds me of…. what?.. what?.. LouLou without the Plumnote.
Rather skinclose but there for many hours, on me +9 hours. I would love to have this scent but not for that sum of money – its darn expensive – but it is a great love-gift.
LouLou men utan Plommon-noten. Relativt hudnära men där för många timmar, på mig mer än 9 timmar. Jag skulle gärna vilja ha denna doften men inte för den summan, den är jäkligt dyr – men det är en underbar kärleksgåva.

Blossom Love smells just like its bottle – a pastel, girly pink. Most notes that I detect are hazy, restrained, and never pop out vividly. The first few minutes smell of dainty, fine cosmetic powder with fizzy, tonic bergamot on my skin. This delicate powder soon condenses into a smooth suede, while an abstract, rosy pink fruity note, which I assume is the cherry blossom accord, starts to bloom.
Blossom Love changes in an incremental manner. The suede melts little by little into an indefinite vanilla/tonka base infused with clean white musk. At the same time, the rosy fruity note slightly deepens and takes on a vague, sugary boozy tonality, which is probably the amaretto accord implied in the note pyramid.
From then on, Blossom Love just contents being this sugary fruity floral gourmand, albeit mild and close to the skin. The longevity on my skin is at least 8 hours.
Although I enjoyed the soft suede note early on, I’m not impressed by Blossom Love which behaves more like a commercial fruity floral gourmand on my skin, albeit much milder, less saccharine and overall easy to appreciate. If you’d like a pretty, agreeable fruity floral gourmand, Blossom Love might bode well, even though I suspect that there are many more affordable and similarly enjoyable options on the market.

I was lucky to get a small decant of this precious fragrance. May I explain to you how beautiful and unique it is? I will try. I’m not super good at explaining notes, but to me Blossom Love is a true must have perfume in my book. It lasts forever on my skin and on my blouses. I put it on at 7:00am and it is still wafting beautifully at 7:00pm. No joke! There is a note in there that is boozy to me and its deliriously good smelling. No sharpness to it all. No hard edges. It floats around you and surrounds you with a scent that is damn pleasant. There is a note that my skin amps and it is sexy. I feel like so confident in this and feminine and beautiful. How a perfume can do all that, I don’t know, but Blossom Love is the “it” perfume for me. Maybe, just maybe, one day, I will be able to buy a bottle, but for now, I covet my decant.

Blossom love is a creamy floral with spring flowers. There is a lot of vanilla and tonka bean that is with me from the opening blast. It is a lovely blend. The fragrance stays fairly linear for first three hours, then softens. Lasted 9 hours on skin. The base/ending was a soft tonka vanilla scent, which was extremely nice.

This was rather disappointing. Sickly sweet from the off, I thought that I had put on La Petit Robe Noire! Opens with a very sweet cherry and rose combination that is extremely pungent. It is somewhat reminiscent of Black Opium and La Petit Robe Noire. The dry down (which came after 4 hours or so) is a very elegant powdery floral, which, in my opinion is not worth waiting for. ‘Tis a shame, since the bottle is pretty…

  37. :

    3 out of 5

As a long-term Amouage fan and user, I am somewhat underwhelmed. Cherry blossoms have been and will always be one of my favourite sightings in life. As I child I would climb cherry trees all year ’round: spring – to enjoy their fragrant flowers, summer – enjoy their lovely fruits, autumn – to pick my favourite coloured leaves for our “foliage book” (herbarium) for school. Do kids still do that in 2017?
In winter, I would cut branches for my mom’s vase to watch them flower indoors.
The cherry tree is a holy plant for me. Everything about it is magnificent: the wood in furniture is the most beautiful colour there is and it smells so delicate (if left untreated). I can not rave enough about this tree. I love them planted in long alleys and rows….
The scent is okay, not a revelation or a masterpiece, but I think this was not the idea or concept. I believe the company decided to launch something more commercial, that the hard-to-tease Asian market might want to buy as it is so inoffensive. You just cannot falter this product as it is “nice” to everyone who sniffs it.
But for us European challenging aficionados, this juice leaves us asking for more.
I like it but it is not a lustful as “Lilac Love” that is simply intoxicatingly beguiling. L.L. is a lustful woman, who is ready to “rock n roll”, whereas “Blossom Love” is a little Oriental girl, dressed to impress the teacher and school kids, eagerly anticipating her school bag!
6/10. Averagely good. Will appeal to those who want a “nice feminine scent” that is not too offensive, simple, yet quality.

  38. :

As part of the Secret Garden Collection (Lilac Love) I wasn’t expecting a heavy hitter but, it is a very lovely floral, powdery, feminine leaning scent that suits the pretty pink bottle. There is a bit of crisp bergamot at the very start but, it is quickly overtaken by the powdery mix of heliotrope and almond, vanilla amaretto (a slight touch of booziness but, not much). The floral bouquet is expertly mixed without any single flower standing out on my skin. I get much more of the tonka / almond / vanilla and amber. It is not an overly complicated scent, it smells pretty much the same hours later as it does 15 minutes after spraying. I’d classify it as an adult floral, gourmand which will definitely appeal to a wide range of people not just die hard Amouage fans. It clearly falls in line with Sunshine and Lilac Love and has quite good sillage and longevity for a “softer” scent. The box is even prettier in person.
