    This is a GORGEOUS fragrance!
I have a 10 ml decant and it was love at first sniff. I’ve tried at least a dozen or so Ouds, but so far, none of them had the WOW factor for me as this one does… straight up unisex.. I’m ordering a full bottle soon!

Blackmail is breathtakingly beautiful with a magically powerful smoke and the deft artisinal hand of parfumer John Pegg, giving this fragance THE most alluring and evocative oud I’ve ever smelled. In my mind’s eye, the berries bleed out juice from thickly, prickly, gnarled brambles. Everything about this concoction is so measured, so exacting, so perfect. All of this with a slim grace of amber and some tactile-like vanilla. A bespoke exclusive only available through Blackmail Boutique in Austin, Texas. (Yes, they ship.) Connect through Facebook. This is my favorite scent from Kerosene and I’ve been back to Blackmail several times to pick up additional bottles. I spray the hell out of mine, because I can’t get enough. I wear this year-round.

I really do enjoy the house of Kerosene. However, the bottle that I own is Blackmail. Regarding Blackmail, I’ve heard many comparisons, even to Tom Ford’s Plum Japonais! In a nutshell, this is what I get from it:
I get a campfire smoke scent mixed with a slightly sweet (sandalwood and vanilla) incense and a sour note (most likely the berries). Although this description sounds harsh; however, the mixture of the notes create a beautiful, mysterious, and alluring aroma that keeps you coming back for more! Although it is labeled as unisex, I definitely believe that it leans more towards the masculine side. I would say that this scent is more for the “daring” type of individual. Where people think you are arrogant because you remind them of their weaknesses. When I feel that I have zero desire to fit and conform to average, I wear Blackmail

I havn’t been a big fan of the few ive smelled from kerosene but this one is great, sadly its also one of the hardest to get, go figure eh?
From the line its most similar to broken theories, and id describe it as just better more wearable version if I had to compare the 2 really. As how id describe it…
By the campfire, roasting marshmallows that for some reason, the smoke(which is very strong at first)that maybe is purple, and dark blue, giving you wafts of sweet dark juicy berries that only brings you closer… Is it possible they have a sorta berry marshmallow flavor? Frosted berry marshmallow…I wonder….
Anyway eventually the fire ends and so does the smoke, so your just left with the rest of the wood that didnt burn all the way that still has some juicy berry marshmallow goodness on it…
The smoke and woody factor is deff strong enough that it feels a touch noveltyish giving it a bit of that fall time vibe, but its still sweet enough that it can be fun for others around you as well and doesnt have to be just for you.
    Performance is good.
    Worth a try I think.
