From the official site:
“The top note of Black Pepper is vibrant and impacting and is characterized by the presence of bergamot accompanied by lime and an explosion of nutmeg spice and elemi. The flowery and decisive heart is dominated by the notes of jasmine and violet, the presence of sage gives character and masculinity. The woody and musky background with notes of Cedarwood, Cashmere Wood, Patchouli and White Amber give persistence and diffusion to the fragrance.”

I had a spritz of this whilst Christmas shopping and became
a woman obsessed until I went back to purchase.
A scrumptious fragrance that puts a little naughty into the spicy. I’m sure there must be some other note’s in here but I can’t guess them. Very clever. Who knew black pepper was both dirty and flirty! Check out The Merchants’s quite beautiful web site for full listing of fragrance notes used.
Beyond the usual, wonderful on it’s own.I found it held it’s own against an array of scents on the Christmas party scene.
I also took the last reviewers advise and layered it over some old jasmine/ rose Chanel number that I had become bored of and it certainly pepped the old lady up a bit.
I don’t think this is too heavy for women but then I’ve never taken notice of other peoples idea of gender specific.

Surprisingly deep fragrance, if I didnt know better, I would have thought there was something in addition to the pepper. I cant see how a woman could pull this off, it is a very manly fragrance.
Dark and mysterious, Black Pepper is something that I never expected it to be – a fragrance that I wear with formal clothes. There is another dimension to owning a perfume like this, it is perfect for layering. Whenever I wanted to class up a fragrance or give it a little more depth, i reached for Black Pepper and it never failed. Light Blue and Zaras Made to Fit are both WAY better when enchanced with this beauty and wearable in the fall and spring, not only in high summer heat. Another fragrance that I love mixing with this one is Dior Homme Eau, but I wrote about it on that perfume, so I wont repeat myself. A great fragrance, long lasting and strong, manly and determined, worth every single one of the 45e I payed for it, and I will definetely go back to the flagship store in Venice, where I bought it as just a souvenier, but it has turned into so much more!
