Much better than it sounds. The notes blend well, though it is odd. the Iris is a bit floral more than herbal and the hazelnut is nearly invisible, (works for me: this was a gift I would not have bought for myself) but the whole blends smoothly. Not exactly gourmet: more like scented face powder, but heavier and richer. Surprisingly nice, though it does remind me a bit of summer sunscreen with the coconut element.

There’s a hazelnut note in this that is sort of floury or bready…sweet creamy and doughy, but if you sniff too close it morphs into a seaweed note that seems to rise out of nowhere. It’s quite delightfully weird but am not sure it’s that wearable.

I wasn’t a 100% regarding the coconut note in this perfume. I cannot stand coconut for example in incense or as a fragrance oil.
Anyhow on initial application it’s the coconut and hazelnut that are coming through, and I have to say that the coconut smells nice-maybe because of the hazelnut.
The hazelnut makes the coconut note smell less artificial and more like real coconut. The hazelnut and coconut blend goes very well together.
It smells slightly spicy and there is something tropical about this perfume.
After the dry down I get the musk coming through and something else-which might be the Florentine iris-but I cannot say for sure as I have no idea what Florentine iris smells like.
After more time it turns more floral and this must be the Florentine iris coming out more.
This is definitely more of a summer perfume for me, as it brings to mind warm tropical nights.
