From the official site:
“Black Oud is a jus full of charm and charm, enchants even the first sniff thanks to a crackling top full of sparkling citrus and burning touches of pepper. The heart is incredibly attractive thanks to the play of opposites between the precious and delicate nuances of Geranium and Heliotrope and the more energetic and dense ones of Cisto and Cloves. The Oud stands sovereign in the basic agreement, supported by the hypnotic encounter between voluptuous amber notes and elegant woody notes.”

I purchased a bottle of this from a Merchant of Venice store in Venice, Italy 2 weeks ago. Black Oud is the first one I sampled and I loved it immediately. It had a strong Agarwood accord that is both seductive and stimulating. It is something I found I like to use both alone, in modest quantities as it is concentrated, and also layered with something light and refreshing like a bit of Pomelo Paradis from Atelier Cologne (a grapefruity citrus) or other summery citrus fragrances. Jo Malone Lime Basil Mandarin turns MOV Black Oud into an afternoon of sex in waves of sea water. Ok, that’s just me. But I find this fragrance inspiring in small doses and well worth the price for the joy and the ideas that it will inspire.
