StellaXYH’s review is spot on: Belle de Nuit Intense smells a lot like a body lotion or face cream. It’s on my love shelf for this very reason. I don’t think it’s spectacular, and I don’t think it’s made with high quality ingredients but I’m sure it would make me smell like I’ve just stepped out of the shower and applied a body cream, which is what I want to smell like on my uninspired days.
It’s a very inoffensive floral because it never smells like the actual flowers, so I think you could like this even if you’re generally not a tuberose fan or a rose fan.
Longevity (on smell strip) is great for a Fragonard.

My signature bedtime scent. On my skin this turn to a dark flowery cologne. The drydown is tender white flowers though.

This is a sweet white floral with a generous dose of pear. Not too fruity though the pear isn’t overwhelming but complements the sweetness of the white florals. Lasts nicely, noticeable but not overwhelming projection. White floral you could wear in an office setting and not worry about it being “too much.” Really beautifully blended, not one note overpowered the others but they all worked well together.

During the first few minutes of Fragonard Belle de Nuit Intense, I was able to discern tuberose and gardenia. However, they soon mellows into a creamy floral blend, with a light touch of pear. Entering the 2-hour mark, I find rose becoming more prominent. But none of the flowers is overpowering the composition. With its low projection, it actually feels like a smooth floral body lotion, and stays so for about 5 hours. A natural-smelling floral fragrance, pleasant, gentle and feminine. An easy-to-wear everyday fragrance for a floral lover.

Lying down in a field of flowers at dusk : that’s how I feel when I breathe it. Very beautiful fragrance, floral and woody.
To me it’s the same family as Anais Anais Cacharel or Pivoine Yves Rocher. Only delicate flowers !
Perfect for spring.
Good lasting power.

Belle de Nuit Intense could be an unexpensive dupe for J’adore L’Absolu, but with shorter longevity. Beautiful fruity floral with ylang-ylang and tuberose dominating to my nose, which I adore. Feminine and fresh, with a hint of animalic sensuality.

Very lovely floral fragrance ylang ylang tuberose gardenia pear , lily of the valley jasmine rose , sandalwood & musk.Wearing this on a cold spring day but this is truly nice for day and evening. Puts you in a happy mood. I used Belle de Nuit soap for shower and afterwards Belle de Nuit Intense perfume. Love this!.

I have this and the lighter original Belle de Nuit. I was recommended this as my favourite by Fragonard ( the lovely spicy Capucine ) will be discontinued, so the lady tells me in the French factory boutique via the phone when I put in my order last week. She said this was spicy. It isn’t spicy on me, its a clean fresh white floral accord which gently fades so suitable for the day. The pear stops it from being too floral and keeps the smell fresh. I think if you likeTruth by Calvin Klien you will like this.
