Description

Bella Blanca represents the natural elegance and pure grace of white flowers with woody and musky undertones. The composition was developed by perfumer Harry Fremont of Firmenich with sparkling notes of pear, dew, and green leaves fusing with a floral bouquet of jasmine, rose, orange blossom, and tuberose. Creamy sandalwood, white orris, and silky musks are in the base of the perfume.

The new fragrance bottle is covered with three-dimensional white flowers and decorated with a gold plate with the name of the perfume. The face of the advertising campaign shot by photographer Kristian Schuller is model Zhanna Brass.

Oscar de la Renta Bella Blanca is available as a 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Bella Blanca was launched in 2018.

I agree with the previous review. I cant stand the dry down but the beginning is beautiful. It starts off sweet and floral. Then dry down to this sharp floral smell that I definitely don’t like. I think if they took the rose out it would smell a lot better. I can’t stand perfumes with rose in it.

A lovely spring floral in a pretty bottle. Sweet pear, creamy white florals, and powdery iris with soft woods and musk. Beautiful!

oh i wanted to love this perfume but it just didnt work for me 🙁 my problem was with the dry down…………but first the good news is when i initially sprayed it & for about 20 min it smelled beautiful………….words to describe it are lovely , classic, soft, a girl on her wedding day , a lady who loves pearls (and i dont mean that in an old lady way lol – pearls are beautiful for any age – they are classic – i meant it in that way lol )
its blended really well & i was sooo happy until the dreaded dry down lol – this seems to happen a lot to me with oscar de la renta perfumes & i dont know why 🙁 BUT after about 20 min i got this strange medicinal , alcoholy , chemical smell – its strange but i get it from a lot of ODLR perfumes
BUT for those of u who dont have this issue its a beautiful scent 🙂

Absolutely stunning bouquet of white flowers and a hint of tuberose. That hint could be a bit stronger because I love tuberose. It’s feminine but a bit too soft on the skin (even for someone who isn’t into overpowering scents, like me).
I mean it as a compliment when I say wedding perfume.

a beautiful clean creamy floral it has such a unique vibe about it.. yet has a familiarity.. to some retro clean creamy powdery white florals.. from the past but it has such a new twist in having an extremely bubbly effervescent shower gel freshness about it a unique clean yet opulent dense yet airy formula ..a beauty in this day and time ..it’s rare to find such a mix its usually either an extremely clean accord that flees the scene in ten minutes or sugary frutchulie that aches for hours or a burnt tar synthetic smokey accord..
i was hesitant when the lady at the oscar de la renta boutique offered me this knowing its release year! and was just not too hopeful !also because i have an aversion or some sensitivities when it comes to indolic white florals but i was pleasantly surprised.. not straight away.. but after a couple of sniffs..and on paper.. it smells like ponds cold cream mixed with something really clean and floral.. a pink/green/white soft classy/classic tangy/powdery dusty/floral accord..
it smells like a classic in a modern formula.. it smells like how i would imagine a bella blanca would smell like a beautiful cheerful yet elegant lady wearing a white hat and a flowing white dress walking in the french riviera ..maybe siping afternoon tea with scones and clotted cream!the perfume smells like it has a clotted cream accord that’s very cold though!
it does have some similarities to the latest modern cashmeron type of floral musky scents things like mon by guerlain or gucci bloom or the eau fraiche type of scents from different companies it has that shower clean freshness in a dense way all over it is like you smell you’ve just walked out of the shower and went through a floral garden and were sprinkled with scented pink vintage boudoir type of powdery by pixies and fairies !
honestly its a beauty in its own rights.. it’s like nothing else i’ve smelled in the market in the past decade it’s not your regular light florals nor is it your opulan frutchulies its a unique mix of both worlds which is not an easy task but they have somehow managed to merge the best of two worlds together my review is based on me smelling it in the shop and having it in front of me in a test paper i will definitely go back to recheck it and see how it goes ..something about the clean floral powdery acord reminds me a bit of eternity moment layered with maybe my name or delicate roses both by trussardi or baiser vole by cartier the pink floral flankers even hints from romance by ralph lauren ..its like a clean white pink almost sweet tangy crisp clean powdery almost creamy accord with translucency and opulence in an airy extremely wearable way

Starts off a bit sweet; a formal floral with that newish “cashmeran” type opening that seems to be everywhere these days.
Once that wears off, though, you have a very elegant pillbox hat and gloves type of romantic, green, classic floral, suitable for high teas and spring/summer weddings. Lovely, if a bit too ladylike for my own taste!
Paired with the lotion, the longevity is phenomenal. I got eight hours and counting on my ‘fume gobbling skin.

Beautiful, timeless and powdery. Soft and gentle and suitable for young classic souls, too: despite de la Renta being known for popularity amongst older women, this scent truly could make it to younger hearts as well.

A beauty. Mouthwatery, fresh but sweet and floral without any excessive synthetics. Love it.

This one, while nice enough, is a little disappointing for me. I really should have researched this one a little more. The bottle is a little deceptive in pictures. It appears to be round in pic’s (to me anyway), with the ’embossing’ or etching or whatever you want to call it, looking classy, looking like it goes around the entire bottle. Sadly, this bottle is not round like I thought, but rather is ‘convex’ shaped..and to me the pretty embossing looks like a piece of plastic that was glued to the front of the bottle (sorry, but that is how it looks to me..:( ).
The scent itself is a basic perfume scent, a ‘perfume counter smell,’ perhaps. A basic floral, moderate sillage and moderate longevity. Would be fairly crowd-friendly and generally inoffensive and ‘safe. Would make a nice gift. But if you’ve been in the fragrance world for a while and/or you have a large fragrance ‘collection,’ this one will likely be boring to you.
It’s still quite nice, just very unoriginal. I don’t pick up any pear nor white floral here, just a general floral perfume scent, maybe a hint of green. It’s okay, I’m just not impressed with it. At least it’s not a candy bomb.

What first attracted me to this perfume was the beautiful bottle. The marketing team at Oscar de la Renta deserve kudos for such a lovely bottle! Oscar de la Renta was a very popular perfume when I was in high school, but this is a very different white floral. At first whiff I smell jasmine, jasmine, and more jasmine with a sweet blast of tuberose. I don’t smell the crispness of pear. There is a heavy, creaminess to this perfume. I am reminded of Poison without the fruit and spice. On dry down a few green notes appear but the jasmine still dominates. I think this would be an excellent perfume for a night out. I question if this would go over well in the office.

First three minutes is fruity pear then morphs into sweet tuberose with jasmine. On me, Lily of the Valley stick all throughout to provide a freshness and counterbalance to the sugary sweetness. It is pleasant but not unique. I expected something more floral without sugar which I associated with Oscar de la Renta. This reminds me of Avon Passion.
    One spray on me,
    Sillage: within a foot
    Longevity: about 4 hours
    Rating: 2/5

I recently tested this at Dillard’s despite my usual avoidance of white florals. I was blissfully surprised! I left Dillard’s with three carded samples and plan to pick up a full bottle. Bella Blanca is a beautifully creamy, slightly sweet, fresh but soft white floral of Freesia, Jasmine sambac and Sandalwood (according to the official notes listed on the sample card). I do sense a bit of creamy tuberose and Casablanca lilies playing supporting roles to freesia’s peppery opening without the detergent soapiness that is often present in many a white floral fragrance. Sillage is a happy medium but longevity is fabulous! I think I’ll be wearing this as my wedding day fragrance next week!

I just purchased this beauty and I must say this is absolutely gorgeous. This is by far the best smelling combination of white florals. The tuberose is absolutely divine. I can see me wearing this all year round.

I must say I really like it, it is at first a bright floral, with a green undertone,,but it is like a soft dewy green, nothing sharp .it seems real easy to like, easy to wear,..i don’t get much tuberose, it is like not there, I get a soft jasmin, mixed in with the pear, which gives this scent a fresh juiciness..very nicely done..the nose behind it definitely makes pretty florals..the orris gives it a down to earth quality..without being earthy…this is like interesting, not plain, not boring..it is like not classic per se, but with a timeless quality..anybody would like this, this is a crowd pleaser, without being lost in the crowd of florals out there….happy to own it, pretty bottle, it fits that sunny floral well.! I will add this isn’t very strong, but it is ok..I don’t think it will be my top scent, but one I will wear regularly for sure,I
The dry down is definitely smelling great to my nose!

I just tested it..I/m definitely getting one. For my nose it’s a beautiful balance between floral and gourmand. So pretty!!!

Another pretty but generic and forgettable scent.
The bottle is lovely and unique. However, the smell is a copy.
Reminds me of My Burberry which was first copied by Chanel (Gabrielle) and then Versace (Versace Pour Femme Dylan Blue)!
What has happened to the perfume industry?!

Reminded me about Chanel Gabrielle and Jour Absolu by Hermes. Floral. Feminine. Very pretty bottle.

I tested this at Macy’s yesterday and first of all, that bottle is GORGEOUS! It’s really stunning in person. The fragrance is pretty. I could envision it being absolutely perfect for a young gal, 16-25. Not that it couldn’t be worn by any age, just that I think that’s probably the target age. It’s a fresh, Fruity, vibrant little thing! A LOT of pear. I was hoping for the iris to shine through and it just didn’t for me. No powder for me either which made this a “Nay” for me personally, but I respect the perfumery of ODLR greatly. If you’re looking for a bright spring or summer fragrance, I’d encourage you to check it out. It is lovely. Classier than others of its type.

I purchased this fragrance about a week ago. The review before mine is on point. Floral and fresh without being crisp or laundry detergent-like. Though it is beautiful, it quickly fades to a skin scent. It cannot be smelled by others from an arm’s length away after 5 minutes of spraying. In order to smell it on yourself, you need to make your nose touch where you sprayed it. I will try to see if spraying it on my hair or clothes helps it to last, because the card I sprayed it on held the scent for several days. Does anyone know if using the lotion helps with the longevity and sillage issues?

This new Oscar scent has just landed at our Dillard’s, and had the opportunity to test it today! Bella Blanca is a fresh, soft floral scent with layers of green that peek through each note. On my skin the sweetness of the pear and lily are blended nicely with the green notes in the opening keeping it fresh and just slightly sweet. After wearing Bella as I shopped, the flowers in the heart opened with the Rose and Jasmine being the stars. The Tuberose is not as heavy as I’ve experienced in other scents. On my skin, the Jasmine is the most prevalent floral note. The fresh green notes in the top continue to blend through each layer of this fragrance. This green crispness keeps the entire scent from being too sweet. But let me also add, the green is not too grassy!! It’s the perfect touch of freshness without smelling like you just mowed the lawn! 😉 I Love retro fragrances and was searching for the original Oscar here. It’s detectable, but much softer scent. The musk in the base is very neutral, but the sandalwood is prevalent. Love sandalwood and it always draws people in. Overall, I really loved this new Oscar and think it will be a nice change for Spring/Summer.
