This is one of the most beautiful perfumes ever created ! It is second in my heart to Coco
( Chanel) . Beautiful may not be the latest candied craze , but she is still utterly beautiful . I always admired it on others and hesitated buying it, thinking it did not smell great on me. A few years I purchased it anyway .
I am so glad I did ! It is such a well done floral . Also , it lasts all day and has nice sillage. It is not over powering unless over sprayed . Beautiful is for a woman who is classy and polished, refined and very feminine . It smells WOMANLY. It is also great for formal or casual events .
I am often asked the name of of my fragrance when I wear Beautiful. As a matter of fact , a young man under the age of thirty approached me and said “your perfume smells wonderful”. It is not being worn by everyone right now. If you have never tried it , head to the EL counter . I might add that the body cream and and lotion are absolutely DIVINE . Literally divine. You will feel like a million dollars after applying it after bathing . You will feel like a woman!
If you want a lovely lasting floral that is refined and feminine , put down your sugary confection and try this gorgeous fragrance ( and the lotion too ).

I’m flrying high at the moment I’m so stoked that I was able too find more vintage Beautiful the bottle i just bought is (2010) formula I can’t wait to get it!!! Beautiful is almost unrecognizable in the current form it’s still very beautiful I love both current and vintage but IMHO try too hunt down the older formula it’s s beautiful. Huge love for me also this is my signature scent.
kravt11 – :
Gosh, not a fan! It’s like a milder Knowing for me. These two perfumes do not ring my bells, I find them a bit awful on me. Good for someone else. Darn, was hoping to love it!
olexprog – :
Beautiful is a classic, rich, satisfying floral chypre that (like many perfumes from the past) is unmistakably itself. I have both vintage and current. The vintage is more concentrated and has a strong oakmoss “kick” in the base that stands out even more then the floral bouquet. The current emphasizes the florals a bit more and isn’t as sharp and woodsy in the base. But the difference isn’t stark, and I like both versions.
I really enjoy this fragrance. It’s a masterpiece. I know there are dozens of fragrance notes in this one, but the genius of it is that I can’t really pick them apart when I smell it. Beautiful is simply Beautiful— deep, elegant, smooth as silk.
Don’t even try this if you’re into fruity or ocean-fresh scents. But if you enjoy throwing off a scent cloud in fabulous full-hipped style, Beautiful is among the best and most timeless products of the over-the-top ‘80s. Especially recommended if you like Giorgio, Amarige, Pavlova, Diva, Knowing, Red Door, etc— although you may find Beautiful more wearable than any of those, especially in the modern version.

The best perfume ever created!!! There has never been another perfume that could even come close too Beautiful. This has been my signature for years. I never tire of Beautiful EVER!!! I always receive many compliments on Beautiful. You want too smell expensive wear this. (Vintage) is perfection, Current is still very beautiful I wear both current and vintage. But since vintage formula is so hard too find I most likely will only be wearing the current for now on. Big love for me!!!! ❤️

A lovely, rich mix between Escada Margarethe Ley (Escada) and Safari (Ralph Lauren). The best of both worlds 🙂
slrozov – :
First I smelled Beautiful on a paper. The creamy, romantic, flowery frag invited me to explore it further. I am still busy doing that. I bought a small bottle. Mostly I can smell perfumes on myself, but it seems that Beautiful is hiding herself on my body. Apparently I have to work harder to get to know her. Okay, deal.
Beautiful has the same ‘coolness’ as Escada Margaretha Ley from Escada. And carries the same spring freshness -at the start that is- of Vent Vert from Balmain (a big favorite of mine). I like to know what ingredient is causing the ‘cool’, sort of ‘cold’ effect like if you put a bouquet of flowers in the fridge or between ice-cubes. In a poetic way that is. It’s a vibe that I find in more perfumes and the coolness must be the effect of a particular flower or other ingredient. Does anybody know what that is?
While Beautiful- beyond the romantic story of weddings and innoccence and so called femininity- is still playing hide and seek with me, I am developing a hunger for the vintage version. This cannot be all. No way. I must be missing something. At least I hope that I am right. I bet the vintage version – after reading the wonderful Fragrantica reviews- cannot hide herself from me anywhere. Moreover, big chance that I finally see or even embrace her true and naked face.
HELG74 – :
Beautiful is another strong Estee Lauder fragrance. To my nose it’s very similar to Knowing, maybe a little sharper and spicier. The list of notes includes calendula, which is an interesting choice. Maybe it’s the source of the sharpness? Thankfully there’s no sugar note in the scent. Isn’t it funny how great fragrances can be made without including gobs of sugary sweetness?
I’ve no idea if my sample is new or vintage, it’s the only sample I have of this lovely scent.
Like Knowing and so many other EL frags, Beautiful has staying power and sillage. It’s a well made classic fragrance, feminine and sophisticated. Good stuff like this is what I love about Estee Lauder.
On a whim I decided to apply both Beautiful and Knowing on one hand, and the resulting scent cloud was lovely, if too strong. A headache ensued, and I learned an important lesson: powerhouse frags from EL should be worn one at a time.
Aerohopleneriiog – :
Great in its day long ago, but this smells like dryer sheets. We’re all so familiar with Bounce that it’s just not a perfume anymore. Someone at work wears it at times and it is instantly recognizable, but then again maybe she just uses a Bounce dryer sheet…
Taylor_fromAD – :
I have a vintage bottle that I have had since the late 80’s . I only wear it several times a year, but I really should wear it more often. I think I like it more now than I did then, of course I am 30 years older now aswell.
FriefsZernses – :
I remember when this first launched and I had a bottle it smelt so wonderful but the current formulation leaves a lot to be desired. I’ve bought two bottles from eBay as I was feeling nostalgic but I’m struggling to even use them. It’s screechy sharp and headache inducing especially if your an over sprayer like I am. Why did I buy two bottles I hear you ask initially I thought i enjoyed the fragrance so I bought a back up silly I know. I’m going to try and use one spray and see how I go. If this works for you then you are a lucky person but for me it’s a struggle.

Just…Beautiful
maxus81 – :
I can see there is BIG love for this one. My mother loved it too, if a little too much. Along with yellow Giorgio.
Full of a mix of flowers and sweet powder. I love tuberose, but it’s lost in this one to me.
As much as I accept this is a pretty fragrance, it’s ruined for me because of my mother. Just as my grandmother ruined Shalimar! It was like pairing something sweet with something bitter.
Shengannenoup – :
I used to be in love with this fragrance. It made me so happy! But, unfortunately, it was allergenic for my neck skin. Had to pass it to someone else…
Dapscoips – :
The older I get the pickier I get with what perfumes I want too wear. I am getting too the point where I just want too wear only Beautiful, sadly I use too enjoy wearing a wish wash of different scents. I think from hear on out if I’m iffy about what perfume I want too buy, I’m not gonna buy it not anymore. Beautiful is the one scent I never get bored with. It’s me in a bottle. Beautiful is truly magnificent, and there is nothing that smells like this. It’s the very best perfume ever created!! Beautiful, it is.
aliona-moskva – :
smokey lovely floral wit tuberose, mimosa and marigold
Ivan04 – :
What I always loved about Beautiful is it manages to convey maturity without coming off as too matronly or “old-ladyish”. That’s not to say there are many younger women around who can pull it off; it’s not for everybody. It has a certain auntie-over-forty-out-for-a-day-of-department-store-shopping-and-an-early-dinner-afterwards vibe. It bespeaks a pleasant, well put together woman who knows herself and is comfortable in her own shoes. Very unforced. Easy yet solid femininity- if that makes any sense- undergirded with intelligence.
Even if this isn’t the kind of thing you can wear every day, it still fits well in a well-rounded fragrance wardrobe. Such a wonderful familiar classic.

Estée Lauder Beautiful – One of Estée Lauder’s true classics. One of the best and most fav perfumes I’ve own for many years now.
Beautiful has been my signature scent since 1989. Back then this was “Not” by any means a perfume created for a young teenager, but there was something magical about this perfume that made me break out of buying your typical drugstore, “teen fragrance” like “Love’s Baby Soft” and want to wear something more mature and well…BEAUTIFUL!
This is one of the only perfumes I will forever keep a couple of vintage bottles as backups in my collection to avoid running out 🙂
I no longer wear Beautiful on a daily basis but do like to wear this scent on special occasions.
kbctyjr – :
I’m wearing this beauty today, there is nothing in this world that has ever come close too smelling like (Vintage) Beautiful. This scent is so magical and a true timeless beauty. Vintage beautiful is so good that the original formula should be in a museum on display or locked away inside a vault it’s that beautiful of a scent!!! The current formula is nothing like the original from (1985) but truth be told the current is still a beautiful scent. I love both formulas but Vintage is special and nostalgic. A true masterpiece in modern perfumery. Simply gorgeous.
Edit: forgot too mention my bottle is older formula (2009) Its truly beautiful!!!
labenik – :
This perfume leaves absolutely gorgeous trail on my skin. The opening is a floral blast with a slightly vintage touch. It reminds me a bit of Chloe. Then it settles into a beautiful sweet floral bouquet – when the tuberose dries out, narcissus, marigold, galbanum and chamomile are even more evident. However all that florals aroma is balanced by the sweet scent of vanilla. Although it has a huge silage and it’s a heavy fragrance, the aromatic and green aspects of the composition makes it wearable even in hot weather. Beautiful holds a special place in my heart since it’s the first grown up perfume I fell for. No surprise Andy Warhol wanted to be buried with a bottle of Beautiful in his coffin.
Voin-700 – :
To me, this smells more powdery than it does flowery. If I could only own one perfume this would be the one. I love it so much I bathe in it, literally. The shower gel and lotion are amazing. If you layer, the scent will last all day and linger on your clothes and scarfs. I started wearing this in the 80,s when it first came out. Back then, there was something different about it. It was stronger and had an opening note I did not care for. Once that note faded, after about an hour it smelled wonderful. I did not know that the formula had changed. A few years ago I sprayed a tester on my hand just because I happened to be walking past the EL counter. I was happy to find that the new version no longer had that harsh opening that I disliked. It is now perfect. I wore this to my wedding,,,,of course. Truly is Beautiful.

Estee Lauder, please bring back the original formula! It was really beautiful and had a little sweetness in it. The silliage was out of this world. In my opinion, this formula is way too powdery. Thank you!
moralorma – :
Estee Lauder Beautiful is just that. Beautiful. It’s the perfect balance of white and green florals. Not too sweet. Not too sharp. One of the finest floral fragrances I have ever smelled.
ramzilM – :
I wore “Beautiful” in the early-to-mid 90s.
In all my years of collecting perfumes, I can say with 100% conviction that I have not come across anything comparable to the unique scent of (the original) “Beautiful”.
Other reviewers are right on the money when they describe this scent as “vintage”.
It’s intoxicating, classy, elegant, complex, and feminine. The scent matches its name– it’s simply beautiful. Complex perfumes have in many cases (for me) ended up being a “no”. The mish-mash of notes usually ends up producing something far too involved for me to enjoy.
This is not the case with “Beautiful”. This fragrance is complex with quite a few middle notes. But all the notes are so well blended, they produce something that you can wear at any time of the day.
The first time I sprayed “Beautiful”, I used a heavy hand and ended up with not just a headache, but a bit of heartburn. I had to put it away for about 2 weeks and revisited it with a much lighter hand.
The sillage and longevity were impressive and the dry-down beautiful. Towards the end of a long day, the fragrance was still fresh and noticeable. This was one perfume I never had to respray, especially if I spritzed a little on my top.
I don’t know that I would purchase this fragrance again since it sounds like the formula has changed and is not as impressive as the vintage. However, I’d be perfectly comfortable blind-buying this fragrance based on the notes.
The key is to remember that a little goes a very long way with this one!

My favorite perfume. Love love it! I reach for this almost 9 out of 10 times as a collector of perfume I do wear quite a few other scents yet if I put something other than Beautiful edp on I regret it. I adore Beautiful and I could bathe in its greatness!!
Vertinskaya – :
This is a truely terrible perfume. Old, heavy, boring. Will not compliment anyone unless you are 90+. Not beautiful. Awful.

The new Beautiful (current) is a completely different scent I still love it for what it is. Longevity is hours upon hours. I love my Beautiful so much I never tire of this it’s so good.
ГКС – :
My mother didn’t recognize the new beautiful. She so loved Beautiful (her favorite perfume along with Jill Sander 4) that I asked a friend to buy it in the US but she didn’t recognized the scent, so changed it was.Longevity was 6/7 hours when it used to be 10 hour plus, the tuberose was much less strong, as well as the perfume lost much of what distinguished it.I received a 10 ml decant of a Keme perfume callled Gorgeous, supposedly based on Beautiful and gave to her.She loved it, the smell alike was more the Beautiful of the early 90s than the current official Beautiful version.Pity I can’t find any to buy for her.

I wore this back in the 80’s. If you, like myself, miss it: try before buy with the new formula. I expected a change but this is IMO murder. I am so very very disappointed.

6th of September 1986, A day I will never forget I was not only pregnant with my twins but I was about to become a blushing bride too Bernard my late husband, so much nerves 9 am just about 22 mins before my father was about to walk me down the isle oh boy was I nervous my legs shaking like crazy excited and scared at the same time praying that I didn’t make a fool out of myself by tripping over my wedding gown. I finished up my makeup and putting my hair up tears already falling in excitement knowing I will be spending my life with Bernie the man of my dreams, God knew how I couldn’t wait to open the little bag that i was about too find was from the Estée Lauder counter with a little pinkish box (original) Box that beautiful edp use to come in not red like it is today and I opened it and saw a large 3.4 ounce of Beautiful and I had no idea what it smelled like or that it would end up my long love affair with perfume years to come. I opened it took off the cap and sprayed 4 sprays on me and boy was it extremely strong I was in awe over the beautiful smell never smelling anything this good in my entire life, I was just a few minutes from walking down the isle the music came on my daddy knocked on the the room I was waiting in and I took a deep breath and down the isle I went hoping I didn’t trip over my gown I got face to face with the man who i loved with all me, he said his vows I said mine and we were husband and wife 7 hours later our family would be complete my babies were born also a day and night that I will never forget. My babies are all grown up now and have families of there own my beautiful man has been gone from us for a few years as much pain as it is I have the beautiful memory of that beautiful day forever yes beautiful has changed a lot but I think for me the memory of my wedding day and the life I made with Bernie I think that is why I am so obsessed with this perfume it was gifted from him to me and that makes it so special I can never be with out Beautiful some ppl maybe won’t like it but it’s my favorite it holds a million memories in that bottle I will wear it forever! Sorry for the walk down memory lane but when something is that Sentimental you have to cherish it forever as I do. Starlett
fedyy – :
LenaT, I totally agree.
I also wore Beautiful years ago, from when it first came out, in the mid-eighties, through the nineties.
Smells nothing now like it used to.
It’s a completely different scent and for the life of me I can’t fathom all the favorable reviews.
I just get all these overpowering indolic notes from this formulation.
When I smell it on someone I just want to back away.
Very offputting.
DJ StOwN – :
This is the one perfume that gags me. It was my mom’s signature scent for the past 30 years. She literally bathed in it, so much so that we refused to buy it for her as gifts. It became a nightmare to hug her or even sit next to her. I just wanted to puke. It might be an OK scent, but I will never know, because it has been destroyed by my mother and her over spraying. Now, any perfume with carnation in it makes me recoil in fear.
DejanMilenov – :
Been my signature and my No 1 for 30 plus years even through all the harsh formulations it has remained my favorite. I am very loyal to this perfume. Love love it. Sillage and staying power is still good.
tammirieman – :
I had this perfume back in the 90’s. I recently sampled this and it was not the same. It was dissaponting. It smelled like old perfume.I am pretty sure this was reformulated.
Nemiroff – :
@Kei Kitz My dear, late mother used to wear Beautiful and it really did smell lovely on her. A classy, rich and opulent floral and I don’t remember thinking that it was reformulated in a bad way after the EU cosmetics regulations changed.
I shouldn’t have said that it smelt close to Chanel Coco EDP though… although everyone smells fragrance slightly differently 🙂 What did remind me of Beautiful was the lovely floral fragrance, Escada.
skreds – :
I smelled this on a lovely older woman last night, and she said this is what she was wearing. On her it was primarily a very sweet tuberose (looking at the notes, the mimosa is probably responsible for the sweetness). It is probably too mature for me, and not my style, but she had really under-applied it, and so it was only perceptible on her in wafts. It was indeed beautiful.
gorinhell – :
Anyone else think that this smells close to Coco by Chanel edp?
Kakallora – :
Ok this is day 2 with this creation…..I love It! It is a powerhouse so 2 spritzes are enough to create a beautiful sillage. I think that the insense I was smelling yesterday is galbunum. Intriguing. There is also a huge bouquet of flowers with a bit of citrus for balance.
luchj71 – :
hmmmm…just received a vintage mini. Starts with a big blast of flowers and incense….dries down nicely. I am afraid my perfume vocabulary is limited and inarticulate. This fragrance has great silage and i think this is where you really experience it rather than putting your nose up to your skin. The sillage is quite lovely. I love it when I can smell my fragrance while wearing it. Bottom line is that I like it…..still not one of my favorites even though it is the creation of Sophia Grojsman….usually LOVE her creations. Perhaps this is a cool weather scent and i will LOVE it during fall and winter….very hot day here…doesn’t do this fragrance justice. Some fragrances sneak up on you when you least expect it…as in one day you like it and later find that you LOVE it. I think this may be one of them.
eminv – :
Beautiful was my first designer scent purchase, and the beginning of my resounding Estee Lauder appreciation. I LOVE her! She has the feel of green tobacco, galbanum, abundant florals (including lavish pink rose and rich carnation) and amazing oak moss.
Or, that is, she did.
This week I opened my ‘new’ bottle (saved aside for 2-4 years now) and was hit by reality. She looks the same. But she is NOT.
Reformulations are real, alas. Oak moss and carnation are both almost missing – certainly the greenish tobacco feel is nearly gone as well. Sillage and longevity are greatly reduced. The IFRA strikes again…
That said, she smells better than a host of modern, flat releases and still has the Estee Lauder DNA. I am going to enjoy every drop of my bottle, which will go quickly at this rate! Her airy floral fragrance is charming and lovely – almost a little soapy with geranium in the opening now – and appropriate for a warm summer’s day. She is not the same thick FLORAL DIVA, but she is wearable, enjoyable, and undeniably related. I would class her as the memorably pretty sister of a world class Regal Beauty.
At this point, Beautiful makes a ‘safer’ gift than previously. Still distinctive and lovely, worth having and wearing. Highly recommended if you happen to need something gala to give a floral loving friend new to the classics.
Four stars – formerly Five
Snikes13 – :
Beautiful….the name says it all! Gilded, opulent, and richly floral….it really is beautiful. The standout notes to me are the lily, carnation, sandalwood, and ylang ylang.
The scent and feel of this fragrance is intensely luxurious, but also dignified and intelligent. I agree strongly with the review by Mystica, below…it is a fragrance for an accomplished, independent, no-nonsense sort of woman.
Longevity is quite good. I touch this up around the 5 hour mark. The sillage is pretty intense. It leaves a trail as you walk.
It definitely has that 80s/90s smell, so lovers of modern scents may not like this. (I personally love it! Aaaah, the 80s…it might have been a bad hair decade, but SUCH a great decade for perfumery!)Test before buying, but if you like scents like Anais Anais, Rive Gauche or L’air de Temps you will probably love Beautiful!!
dj_markus – :
The current (formula) EDP is pretty much a functional fragrance for me. Namely my skin got drier and thinner as I aged (33 now), and it tends to eat perfumes accept rather Strong ones like this.
Beautiful is pretty much linear… It doesn’t change, it’s flowers, a mix of summer fruits and cloves all the way. It isn’t something attractive or sexy -like the original Aromatics Elixir or other strong fragrances with patchouli. Beautiful is very mature (actually for me too as well), and it sure doesn’t come with a claim of being sexy. It rather projects an accomplished aura, where your priorities in life don’t revolve around building relationships with the opposite sex. You have already built everything or you no more care about it girl! So that’s where Beautiful stands.
As I said before, it is rather sad that Beautiful nowadays doesn’t compare much to its former self, with its rather artificial and linear nature today, which lacks the creamy softness it once had. Layering options exist to fix this issue, namely like applying an oriental, natural perfume oil to give it more of a softer body and supplying the fragrance with a balmy, natural touch it so needs… The concoction though is already too strong and it eats everything (rather than blending with it) if the base is not applied generously.

Vladimir33 – :
I remember the first time I smelled this on someone back in 1987 and it stopped me dead in my tracks. I loved it. I wore it for awhile and then stopped because the guy I was dating broke up with me and he loved it… so… I tossed it out… never to be worn again as it reminded me of him… ah youth! I tried it again just recently on a whim and found it different from what I remembered… just not right. I tried the body lotion and there it was… that unmistakable elegant fragrance. I get compliments all the time and mostly from men. There is something about this that men just love. The body lotion lasts forever on me.
abramova – :
Just noticed that it has a distinctive, slightly smoky, smell.
Like being in a flower-filled, summer garden, in the late afternoon/early evening, with a bonfire burning in the (fortunately, far) distance.
Definitely think perfumes were formulated, back then, to go well with cigarette and cigar smoke.
I certainly don’t miss people smoking in public places; but, apparently, I do miss the slightly smoky smell of these vintage perfumes. 🙂
v171 – :
So, I have a vintage bottle of this that used to belong to my mum (it was one of her favourite fragrances).
It’s been a few years since I’ve worn it.
When I first sprayed it on, today, to my dismay, it smelled a bit funky.
It’s probably at least 20 years old, so it could have turned.
Or, perhaps, the part that was left in the tube part of the spray, for a few years, has?
Or, it could just be the lemon top note doing its usual, vile, thing on my skin!
Because, now, about 20 minutes later, it smells a lot better and a lot more how I remember it.
Strong, but beautiful.
It was well named.
I’d quite like to get a new, fresh, bottle to compare; but, I worry that the formulation will have, inevitably, changed and it will juat be a shadow of its former self.
It’s kind of sad that we are the first generation of women who can’t rediscover our mothers’ fragrances, without digging around trying to find unspoilt vintage bottles (and even that, we won’t be able to do for much longer).
DimanA74 – :
Beautiful is very appropriate name because it is really beautiful. It’s a bouquet of flowers given to a beautiful woman so she can feel beautiful. It was made in 1985 and even though it was reformulated (I never tried the old formula) it smells like classic scent. I am 32 and I really dont care if some people consider classic scents as old lady scents. It’s always about the woman how she wears it and how the scent smells on her. Dont be affraid to love what you love.
zork – :
I just got a bottle of the new formula edition. I remember the old version so this new one has thrown me for a loop. It is still an amazing scent but it does not last as long and it seems something is missing from this new version. I cannot put my finger on it yet. I am going to Nordstorm’s later for a sample of this fragrance and compare with the bottle I have just gotten. I will update later if I find a difference. Smells great though.
fcvgzqrSAZc – :
Waoo, this is one powerhouse fragrance. Two spritz are more than enough and it lasts forever. I am impressed – because my 30 ml bottle is going to last forever. For first 10 mins it smells a bit overpowering and sickly but then it changes into this lush big bouquet of creamy flowers with a woody powdery base. To me this is more of a winter fragrance, it can also be worn in summer – just one spritz. It’s autumn in Australia and I am going to wearing this all thru winter 2017.
Kocctya – :
I get compliments every time I wear this. This was the first designer perfume I was ever given. As a high school sophmore, believe it or not, my school’s chorus performed at Macy’s for a Christmas event, and they gave us a purse spray as a thank you gift. Before then, I’d only had Avon scents. Well this introduced me to how wonderful a quality perfume can make you feel. I’ve been wearing Beautiful ever since.
day – :
My mother wore this daily all through my childhood, with Opium as her special night out scent. I LOVED Beautiful on her. I smelled it in the store recently, and it’s much heavier than in my memory. D&G Dolce is very close to what Beautiful is in my memory, but they’re nothing alike actually. Beautiful will always have a special place in my heart, and I would love an updated version that had the DNA of the original but a bit less heavy for daily wear these days.
nds_777 – :
Moms perfume. Short lasting power on her. Goes with my personality but even though I could pull it off, I just don’t like the smell so I’ll leave it to my mom. It’s too “perfumey” in nature for me but at the same time the green notes go with me so am torn. I just don’t like the scent. It’s one of those scents I dunno what’s good for me out of plain foolishness. I would make this my signature scent but have smelled better even if the better smelling ones don’t go with me I’ll still wear it over this one because of my coveting nature. Lol.

OH.MY.GOD
Truly, oh my God. Like, this bottle stands behind all the Estee Lauder perfumes, in the most local shops,(in my country at least) why? Why? It’s so beautiful! Full on floral, not only tuberose, and utterly feminine!
The notes are too many in the opening, the only ones I can pinpoint are lemon and galbanum. It’s a strong green opening, fancy luxury expensive soap, like aldehydes but well behaved, sparkly and waxy and lasting for more time than in N 5 Chanel, I do prefer Beautiful over N5, to be honest.
Then it turns floral, I say it’s something between narcissus and carnation, almost indolic, but be patient, for the tuberose is absolutely beautiful! I love this iteration of tuberose. Some might find it screechy, I have been told that it is smells strong, but comparing it to Michael Kors Michael(which I love too) Beautiful is more rounded and well behaved.
For some reason it reminds me of an era long gone; which is a bit silly, because I wasn’t there, I haven’t smelled the people there, I don’t know it. Beautiful is not modern but not dated either, Sophia Grosman knew what she was creating. Wearing this I felt older ( not in the “old lady type older” which seems to be an insult amongst women of my generation, whilst it is not at all), calmer, more respected, more put together, as FEMALE. I know nothing about “women should not smell like flower”, what an insane and false statement; if I f*** want to smell like tuberose from top to toe I will. There isn’t a floral more feminine than tuberose. None.
I need a bottle. Needless to say, a yes from me.

Gorgeous perfume. A classic. This has got to be one of the most well blended perfumes ever. I thought i would not like it as it has a lot of flowers, but the green note makes it work. Glad I bought it.
