If this was on the market still, I would buy a bottle only to have as nostalgia. I had this back in 2002. Just seeing the image of this bottle triggered me back to that time. When I was so young and unsure of everything and making “bad” decisions and not knowing it. I only bought this for the tangerine notes… and I remember it was faint and green – like the leaves of the tangerine tree in my backyard growing up.
I DO miss this fresh green citrus fragrance. But it would break my heart into pieces taking me back to an emotional time when I was severely insecure.

My second favorite after Star in this line of scents, great longevity – close to 12 hours, huge sillage, as well. So impressive for EDTs. Maybe I’m not too familiar with many of “green” scents out there, but to me BCBG “Nature” is definitely unique and not a plain everyday scent. Also, it’s not quite predominantly green to me at all, as all other reviews here are saying. I actually smell more of pleasant sweet florals in here. Is it rose? Or lily? Or freesia? Heliotrope? None of them in particular. Just a perfect smooth blend of all of them and…tangy sweetness of tangerine? But before I looked at the pyramid my first thought was: it smells like white alyssum flowers, those little honey-smelling tiny beauties. Or maybe even like linden blossom. But definitely there is something honey-sweet floral in there. Actual “green” note takes a backseat to it. I’m not sure how water notes supposed to smell. It can possibly be that general aura of dewy freshness of this fragrance. Beautiful strong not-your-typical-green scent that can easily be worn in winter and at night.

Considering I’m not really into green scents I always thought this one was nice enough.
The opening calls to mind a freshly cut, dewy lawn in the morning with flower bushes lining the fence. The name “Nature” couldn’t have been any more apropos. It quite literally smells like the outdoors and the drydown turns into pure grass on me.
If I want to smell the outdoors I’ll just walk outside. TYVM.
Sarcasm aside, it is pretty (at least in the beginning) and it’s not overpowering. Star was always my favorite from this line, though, and I’m sorry to see they’re all discontinued. These were great introductory perfumes for a teenager and to my unripe nose, better than a lot of what’s on the market now.

I have been wearing this scent for over 10 years. I love it because it is not sweet at all. It is a very clean, crisp scent, slightly citrusy, but earthy. Something reminds me of green in there, like summer grass, but not the smell of grass, just of a beautiful day. After all these years, I just cannot find anything I like better.

For me it is very strong, heady perfume but I liked it very much. But definetely it is not a summer scent for me, because it is too strong, I would wear it in winter, night time. I can feel very strong, heady water and green notes in it.

It makes a nice summer scent and probably it would work in every season. But as the summer is just around the corner so I would like to enjoy its watery and refreshing feel surrounding me now.
It starts almost like a mix of green florals and water, and rose seems to have surrounded the fragrance from the start till it settles down. After about an hour, there’s an accord of some more floral notes that joins this fragrant pink rose, and the one I can pick better is lily. I can also smell melon and probably, this is due to lily. In the base, amber seems to be prominent and together with rose and all the accord of green, water and floral notes, this becomes a nice green floral.
Not unique but worth having for summer. It’s a pleasant fragrance. It also reminds me a bit of Debutante perfume which I used to have many years ago, around in the mid 90s.
    Longevity is very good.
Adrien02,thank you so much for this giveaway present!

a decent everyday scent. nothing outstanding. kind of plain, but still a nice fragrance. nothing offensive or sharp. lasting time is good and it also clings to your clothes. the notes are nice, its an OK perfume.
