I used to wear this fragrance in the summer of 2003, and it’s a real shame it’s discontinued. I’m rather new to fragrances, in general and this site too, but not young mind you. I ordered this online at EBAY. Day one: I thought the fragrance has lost some of its notes, keeping mostly the middle notes and the base, from sitting around unopened for a long time. But I still loved the warm vanilla and musk dry down so much I could eat my hands. Okay I thought, its something I can wear around the house, just for me. Day two: Put it on right out the shower. Within minutes the scent came back as I recalled. All the notes together singing! The most beautiful synthesis I have ever smelled. Bring this perfume back. I am not done with it. Sweet, elegant, a little sexy from the musk I suspect.

I ordered a bottle of Bazar…or so I thought…when I assumed that the added words -summer scent- was just part of a description.
After purchase I joyfully skipped back to Fragrantica to see the notes again, but clicked a line under on the links of CL fragrances, and surprisingly the page came up with the specific Bazar Summer Fragrance….
Needless to say, I became nervous. I checked my order and yes, it was the Summer edition of Bazar.
Ran back to Fragrantica fregrentically to analize the notes and the one and only review that was there….the notes were encouraging…red pepper, almond blossom, mimosa, chamomile….sounds good to me….but tommy_girl’s review made me a bit more nervous…a glass of strawberry juice???….I don’t want one, please 😮
I thought this was gonna be one of those girlie fragrances with nothing but flirt-syrup in it.
I tore up the box in the car, when it arrived today…

Tommy_girl was right, not specifically girlie.
At first there is a fresh green note mixed with the not at all syrupy, almost grapefruit-like red current.
Chamomile and mimosa stay in the heart.
It settles down with that exotic, scent spiced with a hint of rosiness, and musky sandalwoodiness.
Stays close to the skin, it does have a rather mature but subtle presence, due to the base notes.
There is nothing synthetic or alcoholic in it.
I will definitely not have to get rid of this one.

the fruity scents are well mixed with the warm scent of rose.
it’s modern and cheering,with significant “red” smell which makes it perfect for teens and younger females.but the others are welcomed as well.
I haven’t got a chance to smell the new edition of Bazar summer,but I believe this one didn’t need a re-edition.
