Description

Its originally created bottle shows the originality of this warm, spicy, woody, incredibly elegant fragrance itself. The opening, refreshing notes pass into the heart, where spices dominate, but its warm, woody character appears later. The top notes contain bergamot, coriander, rosewood, Chinese tea leaves. The heart encompasses lotus, sage, mint and pepper. The base is enriched with musk, amber, vanilla and woody notes. The bottle is made of hard plastic with latex and reminds of a stone in unpaved road. It was created in 1999. The nose behind this fragrance is Jean-Pierre Bethouart.

Is very Brown borderline boozy smell but in the background A higher hint of freshness….. It is sweet early but to the dry down leaves a dark burnt tonka & cinnamony more mature type of scent…this Fragrance is of a lovely quality and is at least medium to above-average Longevity and silage.. the sent itself is a 9.0/10

New discovery for me & God what a nice one. I simply adore it. Masculine smell for sure but like a big hug that teases your nose & envellop you the whole day long with relaxing arms. Nothing heavy, agressive, disturbing too sweet or cheap in this fragrance. Definitily the kind of fragrance that should be number one in fragrance shops. I much rather have one perfect fragrance like this one every 10 years than new crap coming out every 6 month. Very well done mr. Basi It suddely came up to my brain, Givenchy’s Play as exactly the same drydown & sweet/ soft rubber smell. Not the disgusting one but those rubbers we used to use as a child at school. The ones that looked a bit like lipsticks & had such a delicious flavour. Play was tested another time but Basi’s fragrance is ways nicer & finer.

For women who wear mens perfume :This one is only for men!Armand Basi Homme combines harmoniously woody and floral notes.I can’t comment precisely on the notes, but all i get is a slightly sweet touch of vanilla with incense. An echo of Lanender note from the backround, just balances the whole result in order to render a combo of floral and woody notes. It shares the vibe of 80’s perfumerie, but it could be worn also from youngsters who want to stand out from the crowd. My only confession, is that it doesn’t hold and project too much. All in all a great perfume!!!

very nice refreshing scent , the lavender-tea leaves – cinnamon-cloves combo is amazing and hard to describe , backed with vanilla and tonka beans or u can call it cumarin overall a very nice spicy -woody – sweety fragrance , worth checking.

To be clear: it is Basi Homme in the cube bottle that I am describing – because Armand Basi Homme is a completely different entity and the labelling lends itself to confusion.
Basi Homme can be described as woody, slightly sweet and musky with sensual nuances of spices and incense. Nor is it particularly vanillic – if it was I’d have run a mile. (Vanilla and tonka scents are notoriously sweet/powdery; but be assured this isn’t).
Thoughtfully conceived and executed, there is an easy charm and sophistication about it whilst at the same time maintaining the good manners of discretion and modesty. Wearable any time of day or season, and equally appropriate for work and recreation.
The projection is modest (which is my preference) and has perfectly acceptable longevity.
Like Loewe, Armand Basi enjoys a high profile in its native Spain even if sadly not elsewhere. The EdT could be found for a very reasonable £27/€30 100ml when I visited Tenerife earlier this year.

Not bad at all. It’s a great perfume. Can’t really describe it, you gotta try it. Nutmeg with vanilla with the forest flowers and woodiness maybe.

The written description is accurate, as per VanAllan (who has very good olfactory knowledge), however it was released in 2001. The notes/scent pyramid is of Armand Basi Homme, the first fragrance from the house that came out in 2000. This small, grey/black squared bottle is Basi Homme by Armand Basi and is different in several ways, sort of building on the original, but adding depth and more dimension.
The top notes are there, especially the rosewood creating a nice creamy effect from the start (warmer than its predecessor and more vibrant). The heart has a nice fresh mint that is there (along with sage and a dash of white pepper). Nice aromatic middle that segues very nicely into the base of vanilla, amber and a touch of wood.
Overall – decent. I would say that it is different from the original, and warmer in the base. Which do I prefer? That is difficult. Both are a not strong in projection, but offer good scent – neither is offensive in any way. Very good choice for casual wear. I would say 7/10 and wear this in warmer weather so it can show its palate more. The middle notes are nice and fresh and base is not cloying.
Two solid bottles of juice from the Armand Basi house with an oriental woody vibe. I like having both and will reach for them. Both dry down nicely and you can layer oriental/vanilla/amber scent over this after 4 hours or so.
    Cheers.

The notes are totally wrong (actually taken from Armand Basi for Men which is an oriental-fougere-vanilic all day! – very similar to YSL Body Kouros, see my review).
As for this one, it’s a fresh-woody-aromatic with:
Top notes of: bergamot, coriander, rosewood & Chinese tea leaves
Heart notes of: lotus, sage, mint & pepper
Base notes of: musk, amber, vanilla & woodsy accords.
    Editors, please correct this!

Very special and lasting pleasant smell very good player
Spray on clothes after the beginning of the end of the day to day if you use a different cologne smell the change that is beautiful will get tired of it
All these definitions are specified for use in autumn

There isn’t many reviews for this one…however I like its freshness not far from mint even if I don’t find this note in the pyramid… In the end, vanilla softens my skin… I think this fragrance is much better than its artificial one scent brother, Armand basi homme.

My wife loves this scent. Beautiful bottle. Smells like a combination of oak and mint, it’s hard to describe but is a beautiful scent, reminds me the originality of Ungaro III.
