Description
In stories of the fabled lands of the East there are sometimes described open-air boudoirs where beautiful maidens of noble descent take extravagantly decadent baths in asses’ milk laced with oriental balsams and musk, and heaped with petals of rose, jasmine and Neroli. Well, here’s a secret: by virtue of its unique fragrance, walking through a field of flowering Balsemien is akin to that very experience! And for those of us who will never experience that either, Fragrifert’s Balsemien perfume, which could be described as an aldehydic fruity rose with a green conifer aspect and animalic undertones, perfectly recreates both. Not to be missed.
Balsemien was launched in 1900. The nose behind this fragrance is Gustave Alphonse Fragrifert.
