Edited review: I like this one a lot! It’s a sweet strawberry with a clean shampoo vibe (I like shampoo vibes in my perfumes). Great for a professional atmosphere…not offensive, not cloying, very nice and pretty.
remontnic – :
Powerful strawberry and cedar wood. Nothing so special about this cutie, but nothing off putting, nor cloying, nor offensive to my nose either. It is simply just another nice fragrance from Avon. I layered Luck La Vie with either Victoria’s Secret Life Is Pink Live Pink, or Hope Pink and the result was awesome. I got the juiciest and fresh strawberry smoothie for summer 🙂
Nosigosit – :
This is vaguely reminiscent of LVEB. Not a dupe. But there is a permeating sweet quality about it that somehow echoes LBEB. It’s got very good sillage and longevity for the price. I get around 6 hrs out of it. I see this as a fall/winter frag. It’s a bit heavy and syrupy for summer heat. But I think this syrupy quality will make it a great fall fragrance. I do think if you like LVEB you would like this and it’s incredibly affordable. I paid 5.00 for my bottle because I bought it slightly used from someone. Well worth it for me.
Mammyharisma – :
It’s fruity to begin with, and reminded me of Parma Violet sweets as the floral note began appearing. And then the base notes come through on this perfume so well: cedar wood, peach and marshmallow – the inside of a peach flavoured marshmallow toasting on a fire. It smells expensive and very well blended. I like to wear it in Autumn to slowly let go of summer.

Lovely–from initial icing-sugar strawberry pastry sweetness (with a dash of sharp lime) to an oddly whispery yet deep cedar-based bloom. I’m not generally a lover of sugary scents, but this one has such a nice clear, clarifying sharp bite under the strawberry sugar that it’s wonderful. It really is both a pick-me-up (clears my mind) and gets consistent compliments from others. Decent lasting shower, sillage is close to the body (3 feet) which is ideal in my opinion. Really enjoying this in our heat wave in Toronto!

I got this mixed up with Luck, by Avon. I actually ordered Luck La Vie, but they sent me Luck. I’m going to try Luck La Vie next and will add to this review when I know more of what it smells like and how it wears on my skin.
I love the bottle and I’m particularly drawn to the color of the fragrance… this beautiful soft transparent warm pink… elegant and refined. The color of this is almost like a rose gold – and looks almost the same color as a Blush or White Zinfindale Wine…which is such a beautiful color (not to mention that I love those type of wines)!. Yes, also — I’m a decorator – and I truly love interior design… and this is the type of bottle that would score a real estate deal on my vanity, if I were in a place where I could more easily showcase my perfumes.
The bottle looks very similar to me – to one of the Dior Fragrances that is a gorgeous bottle – with great ads, I can’t think of the name, but will write more on this when I come across it.
Waulyris – :
(Disclosure: Avon Rep) I see I’m not the only person who sees the resemblance to Avon’s Simply Because, which is discontinued in the UK. Simply Because had good longevity for the price so it’s a bit disappointing that Luck La Vie is at least twice the price for what I find to be an identical product. Luck La Vie’s price still makes it a very affordable perfume in general, it just seems like a perfume was re-packaged and made more expensive.
The packaging isn’t my taste, but I always take the caps off perfumes anyway.
I enjoy sweet, fresh scents, but find Luck La Vie to become sickly after liking it at first. It isn’t a scent I want to smell for hours on end.
CrywheceReerb – :
i read here that LLV is fresh fruity BUT sweet , so i was hesitated to get it for hot summer here in Egypt , and once i sprayed it on my wrist , i felt like um smelling a very expensive , luxurious classy sweet perfume , and it’s fresh at the same time due to the REAL FRESH CUT STRAWBERRIES , so classy youth vibe , i felt like um happy young woman who have luck in her side and i felt pretty, this is perfect .
inhiccarf – :
Sweet lovely springy perfume in amazing bottle. Opens with cream strawberry and ends with marshmallow.
Very long lasting
Fastwolf – :
i think avon did a great job with this scent……..i love the strawberries in it & on me that ingredient last quite awhile…..its a fun flirty scent…..and very feminine 🙂 its also light enough to wear on hot days , in the office or to a theater event 🙂 one of my avon fav’s 🙂
robert880 – :
UPDATE: On my third bottle! Definitely one of my favourite scents. I love wearing it in the summer and it’s created so many beautiful memories for me.
I decided to change my previous review. While I think this fragrance is a bit synthetic, it is better than I originally thought. It is definitely down the lane of some of the Marc Jacobs Daisy spin offs, but it is weaker and not as robust. Regardless, it’s not at all basic or boring!
It opens with a burst of strawberry, mandarin, and a tad bit of alcohol. I find it satisfying with a sweet freshness that is not at all cloying or sickly (no syrup). You do get a glimpse of some jasmine before it completely settles. The dry down is even better… the woods trickle in and you get a deeper sweetness with the marshmallow.
To me this is a perfect spring/summer scent. I think this is a beautiful fragrance for the price point. The only downside is it sits very close to the skin and fades very fast, at least with me. I can’t smell it after an hour unless I put my nose right up to my skin. There is no question, this is far more Eau de Toilette than Eau de Parfum, unfortunately.
Luck La Vie – strawberry, mandarin, marshmallow, minimal florals, and woods. Crisp, sweet, zesty and lucious. Don’t hesitate to blind buy if this sounds like it is calling your name!
PS: AVON if you are reading, please do not discontinue! I’m on my second bottle and that is rare!

* These are my personal experiences/thoughts with this fragrance. Yours/others may differ. *
Initial – synthetic strawberry + alcohol + mandarin orange
Drydown – synthetic strawberry + marshmallow + cedar + jasmine
Duration – 3 hours
Projection – moderate
Experiences – The opening is a sharp, synthetic and unpleasant; makes the back of my throat burn. The drydown is nice, but longevity and that awful opening aren’t worth it.
Quick Thoughts – strawberry candy, sweet, synthetic
Reminds Me Of – The drydown vaguely reminds me of Coach Poppy (marshmallow/cedar/jasmine)
sattar-tagiyev – :
Lol, the name of this one is a bit derivative with the ‘La Vie’. Avon has a clear market with this one…
It opens big on strawberries. There’s a hint of orange in the first minute and then it’s gone. It then softens to a powdery sweet strawberry. I suppose it’s the marshmallow doing that. In the next hour some florals (LotV) appear in the background. It’s reminiscent of JLo’s JLust.
And then after 2 hours of wear the cedar comes through. It’s a completely different scent compared to the opening. I’ve had this on for 3 hours now and the cedar has intensified. It’s such a strong cedar scent now. A bit like Ariana Grande’s Frankie.
TLDR; sweet strawberry then a cedar scent with impressive development for the price
gloin37 – :
Strawberries and cream, lovely, light, spring fragrance, lily-of-the-valley, mildly fresh and sweet, only lasts about three hours though. Cute box and bottle, young vibe. I’m wearing this a lot at the moment.
I also have Daisy Eau So Fresh and I don’t find it similar to this though, unlike others.
Caseexhipse – :
The LOTV note is just too intensive for me to like this one, but if I could just pull that one note out it would be pleasantly likable for me. I know many people love LOTV, but (like the dreaded patchouli note that seems ever present in fragrances) I can’t stand it and my nose zeroes in on it whenever it is present in a fragrance. So frustrating for me, but aside from that one note, this really isn’t a bad fragrance at all.
Zibrik48 – :
Happy to say, another wonderful smelling fragrance from Avon. I love this one so much more than the first Luck. This fragrance is strong enough to last several hours on my skin and all day on my clothes. When I wear it to bed at night there is no fake plastic smells in the morning. How strange that I would not try it because I disliked the first Luck so much, I just would not chance Luck La Vie. I am so glad Avon put it on sale and I finally gave it a try. It is so bright and refreshing without being over-powering. It has a sweetness to it without being too candy like. I just ordered another bottle for myself. I do wish Avon would make larger bottles of some of their really great scents. The 1.7 oz. bottles are just too small to last me that long when I love a fragrance.
aleksandruh – :
I love it. Just repurchased but this time from a US seller. For like 1 yr I had to buy it from overseas Ebay sellers.
triehiche – :
I don’t actually have it but I smelled the sample-its fruity and fresh, mostly fruit, as florals make a VERY brief appearance and then POOF, all done. Don’t get marshmellows or peach(for shame, two of my favorite notes) but still this is youthful and fresh scent, that smells young if you will. Bottle is very pretty too.
demitriy_78 – :
I’ve been searching for a perfume similar to Daisy Eau so Fresh and when I read that other commenters said it was similar, I had to give it a try.
It smells beautiful and is just like Daisy Eau So Fresh. It doesn’t last for very long, but I find Daisy doesn’t either. This is a bargain for the price!
Pentax – :
After I saw this in one of the Avon books recently and saw on here that many people find it comparable to some Marc Jacobs perfumes I decided that i had to buy it. It was $19.99 Canadian for a 50mls bottle. I just got it today and I must say that it is absolutely gorgeous! It does remind me of a MJ fragrance…almost like a Daisy Dream kind of scent! It is beautiful!
rustam1973 – :
Hmmm, the note list is quite incomplete:
Top: Mirabelle, Strawberry and tangerine
Middle: LOTV, jasmine and lime blossom
Base: Marshmallow, apricot peel and cedar
🙂
Edit: Thank you for adding the notes, fragrantica!
rockelina – :
I won’t contradict popular vote, I really like this as well! I am not quite as enthused as many others, but you can’t go wrong with this. I have another Avon perfume, Simply Because. I find these very similar. It might be nothing more than the cedar in both. I love cedar! But it’s fairly safe to say, if you love one, you’ll love the other also. A trained, well bred nose will not agree. But to me, while not being born identical twins, they are only nine months apart with the same features.
They will be mistaken for twins often.
Luck la Vie will probably be the chosen one. It is for me, but only because the cedar is a bit more appealing…the strawberry keeps it crisp. Simply Because is almost too much sweetness, trying to stand in front of the cedar every whiff. I don’t like my cedar messed with!
This certainly isn’t a “favorite” of mine from Avon, but it’s a fun scent to have! The cap is a bit undesirable…not a lot to grasp. I hope it loosens just enough to ease the task. The bottle is really cute though!
All in all, I would encourage anyone to get this on sale. For myself, I wouldn’t pay full price. On sale, I’d purchase a second time, if I didn’t have too many scents already. I love Avon and support them as much as I can. To lose Avon would be tragic. It would be like losing the Sears Wish Book at Christmas time. Sad, very sad. So by all means, treat yourself to this little dandy. Gift it to a young girl, AND her mom. They’ll match! 🙂
Alqaeda – :
Although the bottle has that little bow thing going on a la Miss Dior and Signorina… On my skin Luck La Vie smells like a remarkable dupe of MJ Daisy Eau So Fresh, dare I say it is even better… at a fraction of the cost. Top is strawberry as in the real fruit. The middle is a little confusing, just like Eau So Fresh is on me. I think this is because Lily of the Valley has never really smelled good on my skin. And then, suddenly magic happens. It finds itself and turns in the most fresh yet creamy cedarwood and something green that goes on and on. I love Daisy Eau So Fresh and hoard my little mini and multiple carded samples -but it doesn’t last thirty minutes on my skin before turning cloying and then poof! it’s gone. I have never purchased a full bottle because I couldn’t justify the hefty price tag for a fragrance I am not 100% satisfied with. However, I paid $15 CAD for Luck La Vie and will happily pay twice as much when I run out.
LaurentBanan – :
I hope Avon brings this to Brazil, as to IsoE super all perfumes now (probably not Korres as it eschews non-natural ingredients) have it (well, who knew Tresor have almost 50% of IsoE super, at least this has a nice smell and a fair price ).
pogremushkin – :
Fresh, fruity and a touch sweet. Mostly strawberry, floral and citrus. Good for day time in warm weather. If you told me this was an Escada summer scent I would believe you.
denis.tcherih – :
I`m surprised to read some reviews saying this one is sweet. Actually to me it is very fresh, especially if you compare it one to one to the original Luck perfume. In fact after a while that freshness has a sprinkle of bitterness in it, too. That must be the cedar speaking. I can see how this can be pleasant day perfume for many but fresh perfumes are not my cup of tea, and fresh with bitter even less so.
SerjVolk – :

I love it! It smells super similar to the original Luck For her with the nice additon of fresh cut strawberries to it. I think I still like the original better but I LOVE this one too.
akula100 – :
I had to order international so it’ll take about 5-6 wks for me to get it from Russia (via Ebay)….i’ll be updating when I do get it and will compare with the original Luck for Her that I already have.
bommma – :
Lovely strawberry scent, smells a bit like fruit salads when you first put it on. Like this scent a lot, think it’ll be even better in spring/summer. Great budget fragrance.
arractems – :
The original Luck is better for me. In this one I detect only strawberries, it’s suitable for summer or spring.
skulko – :
Inexpensive, yet gorgeous and luxorius strawberry scent.. something I was once trying to find. The strawberry smells real and delicious, it’s not one of those teeny bubble gum fragrances. This has class and fits a woman of any age – if that matters.
Avon has done great job with Luck La Vie.
SHADOW_169 – :
Freshly cut strawberries, real ones, not the fruit gum kind, with a floral kick, rather dry once it settles down, expect that is the gentle cedar note.
Lovely summer fragrance, not expensive, and bottle is very nice. Think I will be wearing this one a lot during the next few months.
albourus – :
Edit:I like it more and more. The drydown reminds me of Celine Dion’s first frag. Not overly sweet, after a while it becomes woodier, and less girly.
ax2886 – :
I tried Avon Luck, and I didn’t like it at all. But Avon Luck la vie is amazing. So sweet and summerish. Just love it. It reminds me of Just Cavalli Her.
dtb256Bessinepome – :
Been trying the sample i have of Luck La Vie, and my sample of Luck, (which perfume i already have).
Luck original – think cream bruleê with berries…sillage and longevity is pretty good.
Luck La Vie – strawberry cheesecake / strawberry salad and a bit of cream…not too creamy. Longevity and sillage a tad poorer, compared.
La Vie smells somewhat like something from Versace…like Bright crystal edt maybe? Smells expensive. Just wish it lasted longer. Also reminds me of Christina Aguilera perfumes, but better smelling.
If only it lasted longer…
Uriahis – :
Trying this now, it is lovely. More citrusy and fresher than the original Luck.
I still love original Luck a tad more, as it has greater depth and more character, somehow.
But i might purchase this as well soon, its good.
андрей.х. – :
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the U.S. gets this flanker as the Original smells delicious!
ampist – :
This is not Miss Dior copy. Sweet, creamy strawberry. Not too complicated, but good.
