Does this exist or was it an April Fool from Fragrantica? I went to a Creed stand yesterday and they had never heard of it and had just had their annual meeting where it would have been mentioned. I’m in the UK.

How about creating more woody Aventus Intense with gold elements instead of stainless steel?

If i had any position in creed company I would make one aventus noir or aventus black for smokeier batch lovers and one normal vintage for fruity batches crazies!!! Then it would sell like hell!!! And I think a lot of lovers would leave using colognes!!! Isn’t??

Should have made Aventus Intense rather than cologne. The original lacks in performance.

The losers who disliked this cologne before it’s release should be permanently banned.
They haven’t even sampled it, and this ruins fragrantica for everyone else.

Please don’t start releasing flankers like every designer house is doing creed. You guys have allegedly been creating scents for world leaders and royalty for 250 years, don’t you have some scents from the past you could release instead of this?
It’s bad enough the designer brands feel the need to trash their hits with an endless release of flankers, we don’t need these niche houses starting to do it

Why does Creed bother doing this, when every single batch number they make is already like a flanker anyway?
There are literally places on the internet dedicated to categorizing and singling out the prominent notes of each batch. I guess maybe they had a batch that was so different they felt embarrassed calling it actual Aventus and decided to give it the name of ‘Cologne’? I mean the notes are the identical.
Anyway, I’ll smell it before voting of course but after so many batch codes, the smoky one, the fruity one, the pineapple one, the leather one, the dry one, the ‘is this fake?’ one, etc I really don’t feel so excited because it’s like I’ve already smelled 10 flankers of Aventus.

Okay… another fragrance just released with a lot of hate and many dislikes. I bet nobody who hated down bellow or pushed the dislike button had tried.
    Grow up, people!

Exactly, if it’s just a similar, lighter version of Aventus… I’ll pass. The most I’ll do is get a sample. Aventus with a more innovative, unfamiliar twist would have piqued my interest.

I won’t buy it if it smells like 90% similar to Aventus! And no one can critice me on that! Don’t get me wrong, I like Aventus but I don’t need a lighter version!
A new flanker, with more dark notes would have been more appreciated in my honest opinion! 🙂
But I’m sadly not working in the marketing department of Creed…

I can only wonder – if this will be a light scent of fleeting lemon for $350

Got my sample today, really like it. Lighter version of Aventus great for the gym and high summer heat etc. Coming into summer where I live so will be looking to add to the collection after a few more wearings. Sprayed it on 4 hours ago and it’s still there so far what you would expect from a light version. Guessing this will go about 6 hours.

Presumably they don’t need to do this for commercial reasons because Aventus is already hugely popular and I imagine they struggle to produce enough of the stuff to meet demand.
There is also the risk that it will detract from the “niche” reputation of the brand if they jump on the flanker bandwagon.
That only leaves the unsavoury conclusion that this release is motivated by greed.
Of course, if Aventus Cologne proves to be unique, stunning and essential, I shall humbly eat all of my words 🙂
