Minty incense that’s sort of dark and smoky. Interesting, but has an artisanal quality that I’m not crazy about. It’s kind of similar to Phaedon’s oriental Mint, and not a bad subsitute since it basically costs $20. However, this is no replacement for the incense-mint king, Memoir Man, or any of the classic mint fragrances such as Menthe Fraiche or Geranium Pour Monsieur. As mentioned below, it comes in a rollerball (no atomizer/sprayer) which sort of makes sense considering the concentration and fact that it’s an oil. It’s a cool little scent but nothing that I wear often. Thumbs up overall.

Grottola, I haven’t smelled Atma but I got the Padma and Prema for Christmas. (My boyfriend works at a health food/grocery store and pharmacy) I love them. Oils lend a richer, more supple scent than perfumes/eau de toilettes can. I love perfumes too, but the oils are delicious in a way that perfumes with alcohol are not. They blend with the skin, moisturize, settle it and become a part of you. Two big thumbs up for Padma and Prema 🙂

I found this stuff (along with the other attars in this line) at a local organic grocery store, and my god, it smells amazing. I don’t really get lemongrass out of this; instead, it’s a rich, lush, peppery oriental, with facets of Burberry London and even DK Fuel (!!!!) for Men by Donna Karan. While I do smell the frakincense, this is basically a peppery incense & leather oriental. It comes in a rollerball bottle, so you only need a little bit. It projects like crazy and lasts all day. Probably the best discovery I’ve made all year… if you can get your hands on some of this, please do. $25 may seem like a steep price for 0.5 oz of fragrance, but this stuff is so concentrated that it’s well worth your money. Also, if you’re a fan of DK Men/Fuel for Men, Donna Karan’s original men’s fragrance, but can’t find it, or you’re looking for a suitable alternative, this might be the one for you. Try it, folks! Big thumbs up for Atma!
