Armani Prive Vert Malachite is an intriguing fragrance, but not nearly as beautiful as Rouge Malachite, at least not in my opinion.
As the bottle colour and name would imply, Vert Malachite is a white floral tinged with green notes. It’s a Spring-appropriate floral with dominant notes of jasmine, bitter orange, petit grain and white lilies.
I prefer this fragrance’s drydown to its top notes. In the initial stages, Vert Malachite is ‘too green’. It smelt a little stagnant to my nose as well, like the scent of water at the bottom of a vase; the smell of decomposing floral stems. The drydown is more mellow with a smooth, buttery blend of jasmine, ylang-ylang, lily and vanilla.
The longevity is superb, however, the projection is surprisingly quite soft. With that being said, I honestly prefer this fragrance as a light-wearing scent. Had it been stronger it could have easily become cloying and overwhelming.
From what I’ve heard and read, I realise that Vert Malachite is quite a polarising scent. It’s definitely not a fragrance that should ever be blind bought as the composition is quite complex and the scent very reliant on skin chemistry. It is, however, a wonderful fragrance to test if only to admire its unique aroma.

Vert Malachite is a creamy, heady, thick and bubble gummy yellow/white floral. The sale assistant told me that it is supposed to smell like the ylang ylang flowers of the South Sea and thus totally wearable in hot weather. To me, it even looses its facets when worn in cooler temperatures. I always take a decant of my bottle with me during my travels to tropical climate where it performs best.
It has resemblance with Supreme Bouquet by YSL and Madonna Truth or Dare so if you are into these kind of fragrances it’s a must try for you!
    Silage and longevity are excellent.

A heady, creamy-floral-vanillic powerhouse. Rich, dense, very sophisticated.
Vert Malachite opens with a room-engulfing plume of scent; there’s orange and petitgrain but it’s outshone by the almost syrupy floral-vanillic bouquet of the middle and base. The petitgrain carries through the middle where it lends a sharpness to the creamy yellow bouquet of ylang-ylang, pink pepper, and ever-so-slightly indolic jasmine. Then there’s the lily; beautiful, sweet, green-tinged white. The middle is arresting in its devolution from yellow floral to white lily accord. The dry down is all rich, sweet vanilla & benzoin backboned by that green-tinged white lily.
A whimsically opulent fragrance of exceptional quality. Vert Malachite wears unisex, though feminine leaning. Not for confined spaces, this is a Spring evening fragrance
Longevity is long lasting, sillage is enormous on application, mellowing (slightly) to become heavy.
    7.5/10

Of you really like the notes and STRENGTH of the scent is that what puts you off – try McQueen EDP(black bottle), it seems to me the elegance and balance with very similar notes comes from this bottle

Ylang-ylang, jasmine and lily are probably the sweetest flowers on the planet and mixed with vanilla this should be cavity inducing, especially for a guy. While this is really really sweet, for some reason I love it. Maybe its the way its blended, or maybe the benzoin and pepper cancels out the sugar, either way I find this exotic, interesting and expensive smelling. I wear this with no problem at all. Any guy that wears floral scents like Escape, Joop! or Chanel Platinum should give this a try and upgrade to a higher level of sophistication. You want to stick out in a crowd? Two sprays of this with the right attitude, and the night is yours. Thumbs way up.

    Mmmm Wow!

Amazing scent but too feminine for a man to wear.

I purchased a sample of this and it is a very strong, very heady floral. Amazing longevity and silage, but after a while on me, it smells like marzipan or playdough. Reminded me of Hypnotic poison. If this suits your skin, its very good, just try before blind buying! x

Honestly, this is much to feminine. Way over the top on the floral side that it seems one dimensional which is just the white floral over powering everything. To make it worse, it doesn’t come across original in anyway. It smells great but more for an older woman who wants something that is a better version of many white floral scented perfumes.
As a man I suggest other guys stay away. I’m sure your wives, mothers and girlfriends will enjoy it though.
With all honesty, the Armani Prive figuier eden is better especially for the price, fresh scent, not floral but also grabs positive interest from others around you. I’d suggest that over this. Not comparable scents, just saying better scent in the prive line for less.

It starts off as a beautiful white floral bouquet like Estee Lauder’s ‘ Tuberose Gardenia’ but then becomes Dior’s ‘Poison’. It’s so strong that it’s still there after trying to scrub it off. It gives me a huge headache as it’s so screechy.

This is without a doubt one of the best scents I have ever smelled. IN MY LIFE. God guys, I would love to have it, but the price kills me.

White milky gardenias then comes the white floral combination. This is too loud and screams sugar milk gardenia, to be honest i was suffocating for long time when i applied this on my sleeve.
Not bad tho but the price is too much.

I have just completed my review on California Reverie by Van Cleef & Arpels . CR has a significant and distinct difference in the amount of citrus in the very beginning . this one on the other hand is 100% tuberose and Jasmine . The citrus is very mild and almost unnoticeable.
For those of you who are not fans of citrus, this is definitely the way to go . I myself am not the biggest fan and when I see citrus in the notes I sigh in frustration.
Armani has created a scent for the sweet and romantic without the sharp, fresh component that usually follows in the typical lineup.
This assumes a bit of uniqueness.
Also fitting to have Snowbell (Benzoin) in the formulation. As white as white can be. A wonderful wedding day suggestion.

The composition is centered upon the highly fragrant and redolent white oriental lily. ‘Vert Malachite’ opens robustly with hesperidic bitter orange and petitgrain. Both are quite subtle, and seem overshadowed by the floral bouquet of the heart and base. The petitgrain offers a sly green/woody note with a far more rounded citrus edge while the bitter orange lends a slight tartness to contrast the overly sweet florals ahead. Sambac jasmine with its heady, indolic odor commands the mid-range of the fragrance, along with ylang-ylang and pink pepper. The white and yellow floral accord produced between the jasmine and the ylang-ylang is quite exotic in tone yet is refined in its character as to remain polite and not unwieldy. As with the bitter orange and petitgrain of the top notes, the pink pepper only seems to be present to offer a piquant variance in this floral dominated composition. White lily, vanilla and benzoin conclude the fragrance in the base. The beautiful white lily note pervades the entire architecture, noticeable from initial application well into the dry down. It is a suave and sweet scent, with faint animalic traces in its background. The vanilla marries well with this sweetness, offering comfort as well as a hint of sensuality.
Unfortunately, the fragrance of lilies is loaded with highly divisive opinions and “love it” or “loathe it” connotations attached. It ranges from being described as intoxicating by some to headache inducing by others. Here I think the perfumer did an excellent job at taming the boisterous scent down, yet still allowing it to remain authentic in its tone. As it truly is a predominantly floral fragrance, ‘Vert Malachite’ is likely only to resonate with a female audience. Women who appreciate white floral-laden fragrances (specifically lily dominated fragrances) will fall in love with its luxurious and lavish characteristics. As an “eau de parfum”, the sillage, projection and longevity are superb. I feel the perfume really soars in spring and summer, when the trumpeting lily notes can be best serviced by the warmer, more humid air. Overall, ‘Vert Malachite’ is an unique addition (and a refreshingly lighter addition) to the Armani / Privé line, albeit one which may be divisive amongst audiences.

I agree this is a creamy tuberose, but a very heady and intense one, with huge sillage and headache -inducing lasting power. My perfect tuberose is Carnal Flower – so I am forever biased when it comes to tuberose, but I am open to new experiences and always give several fair tries before judging.
I dislike this one for being loud, over-the-top, trying to hard and not being unique to my taste, unfortunately. It is very similar to the red malachite, but that one is also sweeter. I LOVE Armani Beauty makeup, the best ever, but haven’t yet found a perfume I’d like.
ETA: With all that said, I actually think it could be pleasant in a very tiny dose, if there was a way to dub it like a pure perfume 🙂

As Bajar posted, this smells mostly of tuberose. A creamy tuberose with benzoin. IMHO it’s a tame version of Madonna’s Truth or Dare.

Just smells florally to me. Very different from the darker, resinous, woodsy prive fragrances. Not sure where or how some of the other reviewers detected those notes. Doubtful that most men will like this. Smells almost identical to the prive malachite rouge also.

I tested today. It’s marvelous! But do I miss something? The salesman told me that the notes are lily and ylang – ylang. That’s weird. On my skin I can smell only a gorgeous earthy tuberose and nothing else. Anyway, I loved it from the first sniff and now I’m saving…

For me its love from the 1st sniff .. I went yesterday to get one of the prive collection perfumes .. I tried them all & finally bought this.
Its different from anything I smelt before, it has a special tune.
I am not sure if the notes listed here are correct, because the salesman told me it contains 12 rare notes..
Longivity & sillage are so great ! It lasts forever ..

This smells stunning, quite the opposite of the Rouge version, imho… It’s very different from the other Prives, but still intensely woody. Are we sure these are all its ingredients..???? It doesn’t smell like Lily at all. Instead i felt incense, smoke, amber and some kind of citrus, perhaps tangerine, in it.. Bright but deep, earthy! Really nice!
