Agree with an earlier reviewer, this is Fracas Junior. Amazingly good longevity, suitable for most occasions, and a pretty good price to boot.
Good strong sillage, which means you…the wearer, can actually enjoy the fragrance. You can’t say that about every fragrance out there. Highly recommended if White Flowers, gardenias, Tuberose are your thing.

Delightful white floral that’s not overcrowded by tuberose. It’s hard to find a white floral without loads of tuberose, but sometimes that’s nice to have. Thank goodness I have never been able to find even a hint of the alleged cantaloupe/muskmelon note in this. There is a bit of black currant to tether this and keep it from floating off in a sweet cloud of magnolia/jasmine/orange blossom. Applause takes forever to dry down. The first few times I wore it, Applause seemed linear; however, after twelve hours or more the woody notes finally appear. If you wear this, wear it for the white flowers.
Andrew French seems to work only for Lady Forbes. All of the Castle Forbes scents have a common texture; they are strong, high quality original scents at excellent prices for what you get. Highly recommended.

This is a pretty bouquet of white flowers – the top notes are bright and beautiful but it wears very lightly. It’s like a very simplified Fracas and is pretty much a gardenia type eau de toilette – not much development or depth. As it dries down it has a creamy white wood base. When it settles after the first few minutes it would be ideal for a spring day and fine for office wear when the real full on Fracas would be too, too much
