Description
Annayake presents a new fragrance characteristic for its chypre composition enriched with fruity and floral nuances. The fragrance can be expected on the market from September 2011 as a feminine edition aiming at younger women who are confident, intelligent and discrete. The fragrance wants to accentuate their gentleness and beauty with soft pink hints and tame fruity-floral drops.
An’na Annayake Eau de Parfum was announced as fresh and full of surprises, ethereal and delicate. Top notes provide fresh, lively and attractive blend of fruity notes of mandarin and black currant, leaving an impression of dash and joy from the very beginning. A sophisticated and subtle heart of the composition adds delicate floral aromas of May rose, tuberose and jasmine spiced with Italian cardamom. A base accentuates chypre elements with such notes as patchouli warmed with fine amber.
The fragrance can be obtained in pink flacon as 100 ml EDP. Its outer carton follows concept of the fragrance and arrives in interesting pink color. The fragrance arrives on the market in September 2011.

I get a soft fruity fragrance, with a bit of rose, amber and and earthy touch from the coriander. Unfortunately, no white flowers. It is peaceful and child-like. Nice perfume, but not really impressive.
Sillage is close to the skin from the beginning.

I’ll admit that I bought it because it has my name but that’s alright , I’m getting a Gucci Rush with smaller power , if they really wanted this one to be so similar to Rush why did they took away the longevity and silage ? Curious …

I’m glad that I could try this perfume at last. Annayake is not known where I live. An’na is one of the few scents featuring blackcurrant that doesn’t fall in the mainstream sweetish/sour effect. It’s quite intense yet balanced. All Annayake’s that I tried are very gentle but tenacious. They create an aura around a person rather than leaving an aggressive trail of “perfume”. This is probably due to the fact that perfume in Japan is not a traditional habit, too invasive.
I see that many here think that’s a dupe for Gucci Rush. Not really, otherwise I would have immediately been hit by similarities. Not a real dupe, rather a more gentle and wearable scent with some points in common with Gucci Rush.

Well behaved sister of Gucci Rush. But it really can’t compare, if you’re looking for the thrill, go for the bad girl.

Got a sample of this, put it on straight away and it starts off as very very sweet, like sugared roses, or a bit like Lush snow fairy. But I like sweet so that’s a good thing.
But after a while, this scent just gets better and better, more complex I would say. It’s like I smell something different and new every time I sniff it. Love it and want it now! Too bad that it’s quite expensive. Good staying power and sillage!

I don’t know why I like this perfume but there is something about it that makes me want to sniff it again and again. Maybe it’s because like what Blutengel says: it smells like love itself. And yes I do get the ‘plastic’ smell but that was only after reading the reviews here. So if that is the way you want your mind/nose to go when smelling this: go ahead. Otherwise: just enjoy this sweet, innocent, blossomlike, addictive perfume.

Hm, I don’t know how I shall write a review about that scent as I hardly smell anything. I received this as miniature size with my last Douglas BoB and was very exited. However, holding my nose against the opened bottle I smelled… Nothing! So I put it on my wrists and smelled… nearly nothing. No wait, there was a little something that smelled fresh and not so bad but after half an hour even that was gone.
Maybe more suitable for winter but in summer I find it quite annoying if a scent is gone after half an hour…

To me this is Gucci Rush little sister.
A nauseating smell. lots of tuberose and a artificial smell. Not my kind of scent.

A very strange perfume.
Somehow childish and naive.
I think this could be a proposition for some members who search for a ‘plastic doll smell’ or other toys’ aromas 🙂
Sweet, lactonic fruity-floral.
I mostly get artificial black currant and a creamy rose-tuberose accord.
Reminds me a bit of a creamy-melon Adidas deo that I had in primary school.
Bravo for someone who linked it to Gucci Rush!
Big sillage and staying power.

Artificially sweet. It’s like a big wall of sugar-plastic.
