Released in 2010, Animale Black for Men did not have the same success as its “brothers”. Incidentally, only Animale for Men and Animale Animale for Men were very successful, mainly, in the Brazilian market. Few people I know have come to know Azul, Chaleur or Temptation. Some of them have never heard of these colognes before.
Animale Black for Men is one of those cases of poor marketing positioning, which include aspects such as distribution, point of sales, etc. I’ve seen this happening before, with other fragrances that disappeared from the market. And believe me, the fragrance is not bad.
It has notes of ginger, fir and lavender, in the output; Apple, jasmine and cinnamon, in the body; American mahogany, musk and patchouli, in the background. Officially, it is a woody-spicy, but on the skin behaves like an oriental-spicy.
When touches the skin, it does not look like it has ginger. The impression is of a scent with vanilla or some alcoholic beverage in the composition (rum, brandy, etc.). The apple is very noticeable during the evolution and the cinnamon confers a sweet and liqueur nuance. The jasmine requires effort to be noticed, but it is what gives the floral and subtle tone to the fragrance. Ending, the patchouli merges with the mahogany and closes the evolution in a more woody way, making it masculine. Even so, I think it is perfectly shareable.
In short, I see Animale Black as follows: it is a romantic and intimate scent, in the same style as The One for Men. It projects little, lasts well, but stays close to the skin. By the way, it is a great solution for those who need cheaper options in this regard. Unfortunately, it’s fading from the shelves, but I still see room for it in the market.

This scent was way too strong and repulsive for me. I found that the ginger, spices and patchouli clashed to make a scent so VILE that I am having nightmares to this day. DEFINITELY A SCRUBBER. Longevity and sillage are moderate. 4/10

Very strong patchuli note, like Fancy nigths from Jessica Simpson and The Roue of Fortune from D y G. Very unisex and relax fragrance. You can find it very cheap
