Kronas – :
Stumbled across a mini of this at an estate sale a few months ago – plain glass splash bottle with heavy golden scarab stopper. Knew nothing about the House and honestly wasn’t expecting to care for it much, so I haven’t tested it until today, but wow.
This is not a complex scent. It’s not challenging or difficult. What it IS, though, is lovely and warm and comforting. Strong clove domination, with other “spicy notes”, gently tempered and softened by very demure florals and the barest suggestion of citrus. It SHOULD be far too sweet and sticky, but it’s not. It’s a cozy pashmina. I actually can’t see this as a perfume to be worn for other people, I see this as a scent to be worn for me, at home, in my pajamas. I am very pleasantly surprised by this little gem and I’m very happy to give it a loving home.

I have a soft spot for Muelhens.
As a great fan of the wonder years of designer fragrance i had plenty of curiosity about this classic german house.
Amun reads as an Opium lite minus the carnation. It’s easier on the patchouli and altogether sweeter and more wearable. Whilst Opium is a masterpiece i find myself reaching for this fume without the heavy anxiety i feel with the decadent original.
Perhaps its because i don’t have so much associated with this juice.
Long discontinued and hard to find, this is worth snapping up should you come across it.
