This was one of my preferred Invent your Scent flavors by The Body Shop. Its chocolate, sweet, vanilla, almost kinda boozy like amaretto even though there is no almond note listed. If they still made this I would buy another bottle, as it would be nice to layer with other perfumes to add that chocolate or enhance a chocolate note. I have about one fifth left of my 30ml bottle.

Gah! I remember being obsessed with this when I was in, was it middle school? I didn’t have a refined sense of smell yet (honestly I still don’t but I didn’t even ave a basic vocabulary for smell) this was probably my first encounter with gourmand. I felt like one of those small powdered chocolate bon bons you can purchase at trader joe’s. I won’t say it’s light at all but definitely not deep. When I think “light” I think sheer, airy, or fresh. It was none of those things. It just wasn’t overpowering. I definitely smelled chocolate powder. It’s not like a hershey’s chocolate or even a high quality chocolate bar because those things have something smooth or rich going for it. this was like if you took kitchen vanilla extract and chocolate powder, formed it into a paste, and lightly dabbed it over a floral blend. Yes Jasmine but not a three dimensional fleshed out jasmine growing on a fence, but the smooth qualities that people take from it.
akkerman – :
Why isn’t this classified as gourmand?
Александр5645 – :
Wow, a lot of people seem to love this… I still have a bottle and while I certainly like it and will use it up, it’s not my favorite of all time. Amorito is a nice milk chocolate fragrance, sweet, with a bit vanilla and maybe a tad boozy. While some chocolate fragrances are dark and have patchouli, this one doesn’t, and it’s not too childishly sweet either. Lasting power is okay to me. But it’s a one-dimensional fragrance and not that special, it’s just chocolate in the end.
It was very good for the original price, but I don’t think it’s worth to hunt it down on ebay for 70 € or whatever it costs today.
olradi – :
I loved this one- deliciously chocolatey, but the florals kept it light and airy somehow. I wore the hell out of it back in 2005, when I was living in a foreign city (sort of–a city of my heritage, but not my upbringing), a time when I also happened to be deeply in lust. Now I think of Amorito fondly every time I pass one of those vendors selling candied roasted nuts because the sweet, delicious smell is very similar.

Like most of the others hree, this is by far one of my most favourite scents. I was lucky enough to be warned by the shop assistant when in to pick up another bottle, that they had discontinued it and I bought out all their stock. I have a little pile of bottles that I use sparingly now and with a bittersweet love, knowing that one day, not too soon, I will no longer have a supply of this aromatic chocolately cafe shop scent to warm my days.
I have not been able to find another scent like it.

I was going through a ‘breakup’ box and found some perfumes back from 2003-2006 and I found three bottles of this perfume. I used to wear this so much and went through about 3 bottles and was surprised to find a completely new bottle and one that is about 80% full and one that is about 25% full. I tried all three bottles and they smell exactly like they did from back in 2004. I am very sad to hear they discontinued this most amazing perfume! I will enjoy using these up.
qwertoo – :
I think this is The Body Shop’s fragrance that I most love… after it got discontinued, I never really enjoyed any of TBS fragrances. 🙁
Anyway, it has strong chocolate-milk notes, really gourmand, it could make you smell like milk biscuit, I think. However, the smell wouldn’t make you feel nauseated. Instead, it smelled really delicious.
Until now, I can’t find any other cocoa fragrance that smells similar like this one.
undercover – :
I still have it from 2004 almost full bottle, and today I’m wearing at work its summer
I love to wear it when feeling funny and child 😀
Sanches 825 – :
This was my junior high perfume! All I can remember is that I loooooooove(d) it!! It’s sweet, chocolate-y and my friends used to say that I smelled like a cookie!! Ah too bad it’s DC-ed
sergey0204 – :
I miss this perfume so much… I wish Body Shop would bring it back.
genya0105 – :
How yummy was this? Smelt good enough to eat. Very aromatic, bitter chocolate, sweet vanilla, with a hint of warm almond. So wish the body shop would bring this back!! I always wore it alone as I just prefered it the way it was, never thinking to mix it like suggested.
samrat – :
One of the most amazing perfumes I have ever had the pleasure to wear.so chocolatey/amoretto/creamy mocha and rich smelling. I soo wish it was still available to buy.
I used to wear it in college and it reminds me of one particular morning, after I had doused myself in Amorito, and got on the college bus. I heard a boy remark, “Wtf I can smell chocolate perfume.?!” I thought to myself, well recognised!! ha.
asyclansilt – :
I used to wear this mixed with Rougeberry, a bit overpowering on its own.
Xalin Anton – :
Gorgeous. This combined with Altaro used to be my signature scent. I wish they still made it.
гульнара – :
anyone whos has a bottle of this, I would trade anything in my wardrobe for, ANYTHING! has to be full tho
escorsBar – :
I love the smell of this perfume, it reminds me ever so slightly of Gloria by Cacharel. It has an amaretto, almondy, vanilla smell that is extremely sweet but yet not over-powering.
Aerohoplenerizvc – :
I LOVE THIS!!!!!
the sweet smell,,
feels like eating thousand of chocolate..
I wish i have this perfume again….i want to buy it soon!!

This was one of those scents you could immediately fall in love with – really hope Body Shop bring it back one day. I had been trying to find a similar fragrance in the UK since it was discontinued and hadn’t had much luck until recently. Rihanna’s new Rebelle fragrance reminds me of Amorito, but with a coconut overlay. It’s not as light as Amorito, but has other qualities that make it a gorgeous scent in its own right – definately worth a try if you are looking for a new chocolatey, sweet scent or a replacement for Amorito – it’s the closest I’ve personally managed to find.
vadim.granadskiy – :
I loved Amorito! I used to wear a few spritzes of this along with a drop or two of The Body Shop’s Vanilla perfume oil in my hair and the two together were deliciously sexy! I am not a super sweet-smelling perfume girl…but this was just the right amount of a deep cocoa and vanilla scent with a touch of something else I could never put my finger on. I really miss it…and thanks to those of you who recommended the Molinard perfume, as Amorito is pretty much impossible to find.
UgliesSuits – :
Why on earth was this discontinued again? Warm, pleasant, powdered cocoa fragrance, Amorito reminds me of a cozy sweater worn during rainy days. Delicious fragrance, but lasting power is poor.
vegaros – :
Where I could find this fragrance on the internet? I heard it has been discontinued and is thus not available in shops anymore.
MaxSIMka – :
Does anyone know where can I find it? I live in Greece and I can’t find it. I had half bottle and i did not use it because I didn’t want to finish. Today, it fell down and broke and I am very sad because it reminds me some beautiful days.
an-ya90 – :
as far as I am concerned, I have looked all over for the Chocolate scent, some smell like dirt, while others I dont get any chocolate whatsoever. This perfume is chocolate, it is by far the closest scent to real pure actual sweet and creamy milk chocolate you will ever get. I know this because I have hunted. Also the best thing about this chocolate scent , is that it is so powerful and long lasting that it can be layered with almost any perfume to give it a chocolate vanilla kick.
InehannaFub – :
I used to think it smelled like candy bourbon vanilla but now I think it smells like a mix of white and really dark chocolate. I would say the white chocolate is extremely prominent (must be the vanilla) and here and there I catch a whiff of dark chocolate but no “regular” chocolate in between. I have discovered that last weekend and am wearing it now to confirm what I smelled last week.
I guess my olfactory horizon has broadened!
Oh, and the best base it Boots Extracts cocoa butter shower gel and body butter. It makes the perfume last for a long time.
A couple of months ago I said that the lasting power of Amorito is not that good but with a chocolatey base it lasts almost all day.
No advertising!
If Superdrug come up with a cocoa butter shower gel I would be happy to try out that cocoa butter combination with Amorito as well!
And I would like to have Amorito back as well. If I had a say in The Body Shops buying and merchandising I would skip the Love Etc and this kind of perfumes altogether and would bring back Amorito, Zestini, Rougeberry and all the others from that range.
terminator3000 – :
It was a VERY good take on chocolate… not childish and candy-like
Mature and defines the smell of chocolate in fragrances
It was not outlandish either
Basor – :
This is a nice cheap chocolate scent. Such a shame it has been discontued, because I guess it sold well. There are too many cheap and bad chocolate scents out there. This wasn’t good in lasting power but it did ok and the price was reasonable. A good chocolate perfume is “Fleur de Chocolate” by Molinard.
sanshes – :
I absolutely loved this perfume.
The lovely chocolate notes and the
discreet vanilla scent that lingers
lead to one of the best perfumes I ever owned.
azatos – :
Starts out like chocolate liquer–alcoholic but rich and delicious. Dark and bittersweet, then warms into something light and lipsmacking. But like most chocolate treats, it doesn’t last long!
Great for layering or to wear alone. Be prepared to feel yummy all over ;D
iliitch – :
I want Amorito back! It was my favorite fragrance ever and now it’s impossible to find:( It has the warm chocolate notes.Just the best!Lovely especially for winter.Too bad that ever since Amorito i just can’t find the right parfume for me.
DueskReok – :
starts horrible – too alcoholic and heady.. but then it slowly dries down to something sweet and mossy.. suprised to see no moss in the pyramid! Without the initial 30 minutes could wear it with ease 🙂
leks165 – :
am not a fan of it, as it can get too strong and alcohol-y on my skin
but when i sprayed it on my shirt, the alcohol starts to fade away and leave nice and cute vanilla chocolaty smell
one of my frens even said “why do i smell cookie?”
while the other describe it as the cookie/cake-batter-before-putting-into-oven smells 😛
никола – :
Amorito is a great vanilla scent.
Probably the best sweet vanilla perfume of all I have ever tested.
The staying power is not really good but Amorito is that cheap that I do not mind topping it up during the day.
The scent itself is a warm, sweet and feminine vanilla with a soft candy floss note – in a good way.
Recommended to all Vanilla-lovers.
peca – :
I think my sister has ruined this perfume for me. First time around, I really did adore this fragrance. I couldn’t stop smelling it from the bottle. This and aztique were my fave from the range. Amorito was so warm, delicious and special (and so was the price).
But after some years, I don’t know what it is exactly, but I think its because of my sister over-using it, and using a lot in one time. Over time, the smell started to make me nauseated. But I still find it hard to ‘dislike’ it. But I cant say I love it either. sigh…too bad, so sad….
Jenchak_dima – :
I love it! I don’t understand why it was discontinued!
STUARD – :
Riesen’s dark chocolate enrobed vanilla caramels are the delectable confection captured olfactorily by The Body Shop AMORITO.
Zero idea why anyone would classify this as an aromatic fragrance. It’s gourmand all the way, from start to finish: vanilla caramels and dark chocolate only slightly bitter–scrumptious to consume, and if you’d like to smell like Riesen’s (my own preference is to eat them!), AMORITO may be for you.
Sportsmen – :
i was ever so lucky to have this again! TBS was having a atrium sale at where i worked and they had this! I had to swop down upon it immediately and i finally own this again! yay!! 🙂
seriyseriy48 – :
i love the choco+vanilla…so sweet. make me sleep well next to her.
oym071Diobtetty – :
This is so nice in winter. It smells aromatic and a bit sweet, like coockies and gingerbread. If not over used, it it confortable and pleasant.
tomusa – :
This smells too “boozy”, too alcoholy to me. But I preserve it, in the hope for finding something with it could be nicely layered.
strikewax – :
Delicious, I add it to other perfumes all the time to boost the sweet or yummy factor. Adds a creamy vanilla-mocha base, great with a fruity floral.
kapitanbuzika – :
My favorite! I wear it alone, not combined. But if I would mix it, I would choose Zestini or Rougeberry..
Mevln229elipseskism – :
This one allows you to create altogether new scents, combined with others. Unlike Aztique, for example, which is not that combineable because it has a strong, sweet note that stands out and you only smell this note.
ikj715bedyWelty – :
This is a nice and easy chocolate and vanilla fragrance. Casual, light and not to sweet. Mix it with other “invent your scent-fragrances” or try layer it with some more exclusive fragrance… Nothing offensiv with it, easy to wear and like, but certainly not with that little extra. Very nice and enough longlasting (about 4 h)for the price.
I like the invent your scent idea very much, but some of the fragrances are really nothing.
Amarito is one of the best according to me.
