This is a charming scent. Another from my recent acquisition of decants thanks to my wonderful Fragrantican angel!
It’s mostly fruity, but I can’t quite determine the fruit. I feel like it’s closer to Apple than cherry, but I suppose through the development that could have been interpreted a few different ways.
It’s also got a very noticeable gourmand side to it, though it’s mostly fresh and not overwhelming. Marzipan is very distinct. I also definitely detect the almond which I believe contributes to the gourmand twist without being sugary.
Overall, it’s more sophisticated than one might think from something so adorable. It would be a great option for a gift for a young girl. I wouldn’t buy a bottle myself, but I’ll enjoy the few wears I get from this decant!

    Sutter Home White Zinfandel.
Pleasant enough for a bluejeans lunch date with the girlfriends–fresh tart fruit, woodsy nuts at the bottom–and cheap enough to order the whole bottle.

Usually I am not a frag snob, and I find that low priced eau de perfumes can be just as great as higher end perfumes, and that not every high end frag is great just because of a great price tag. However, most fragrances from this company have disappointed me greatly and have been gifted to friends and colleagues as a way to get rid of them, because they are so unpleasant for me. This I will use up, but once gone, I hope to remember never to consider any fragrance from this perfume house in my collection again, they are rather two dimensional in a world of so many three dimensional frags. Just not interesting and captivating enough.

This fragrance reads “sex kitten” to me! It is a bit young and on the sweet side, but I love the combination of cherry, lemon and the marzipan–it’s like a fruit tart for dessert with a glass of rose to go with it. Flirty/girly without being cloying, and I’m also getting a trace of apple? Really unique fragrance with personality.

For the price it is really worth it if you’re looking for a girly perfume, waaaay better quality than the ones from Body Shop in my opinion. It has a floral-fruity generic scent which I feel will appeal to the masses. It has a decent dry down and decent staying power. If you’re looking for a summer fragrance but do not want to spend the extra pounds, go for this.
Only thing is I hate that stupid snake on the bottle.

So, after reading what other people said about this fragrance I went ahead and bought it online. It finally came today and I was so super excited.
    But I’m a little disappointed.
It’s not a bad scent. It’s just nothing like I expected.
People kept saying it was so tangy and fruity, a really big smell of cherry and lemon, but that’s not what I get.
It kind of smells generic perfumy to me.
I get a greenish springy smell. But I cannot pick out any individual notes like I can with some perfumes.
It also smells way different in bottle/spritz than it does on my skin. Everybody’s skin reacts differently with different scents so it’s no surprise to me that i have a different experience with this than some other reviewers, but it’s nice and spicy when it first spritzes out almost like pink pepper, then on my skin it falls a little flat.
Soft, clean, floral moreso than gourmand.
I get absolutely no marzipan or almond. No cherry, no lemon. Honestly I get nothing listed at all. Oh well. Still a cute bottle.
EDIT: I can smell the white cedar, but that’s not really the scent I was hoping for with this.

Very fruity, the lemon and cherry are very noticeable. There is a hint of almond and tonka, but I don’t smell the other notes so much. The first spray gives a sharp blast of lemon, but within a few seconds it mellows and becomes very pleasant. This is a light fragrance and suitable for wearing to work on a hot summer day. I don’t find it too sweet at all and I think it is suitable for all ages. Like most of the Arthes fragrances, this should be treated like a cologne in terms of concentration, although it is termed an eau de parfum. Expect to re-apply during the day, but in hot weather, that is not a disadvantage. It is not my favourite Amore Mio variant (I prefer Dolce Paloma and Forever), but I expect to use this bottle and its accompanying body lotion to the last drop.

I got this because under Avons Ultra Sexy Heart it says this perfume is like it. Its not. I really cant smell anything. There is just nothing but a watered down something floral and then nothing. No longevity, No sillage, Really no scent what so ever.

    Delicious!
This is a perfume of such yummy goodness!
This fragrance is a bit old fashioned in the 90’s kind of way (which is not bad if you ask me) but sweet and girly, without complexity and has a sweetness that I like in perfumes for the day time.
It opens with a cherry flavored liqueur and currant, with a hint of lemon juice.
It smells kind of like a kind of cocktail drink.
A fleeting scent of nondescript white flowers embrace the gourmand notes of marzipan and litchi.
    There’s also nuts and almonds.
It’s like a dessert the whole thing is the dessert on a menu.
This marzipan reminds me of my nana’s flan dessert.
Sweet and almost too sweet, with a vanilla cream in the base.
If you like sweet gourmand scents, this is going to sate your appetite.
I also like the bottle’s design and it makes a fine addition to the other Amore Mio flankers – i.e. Amore Mio Forever and Amore Mio Dolce Paloma.
Toward the dry down it’s powdery and soft with the litchi and marzipan gone it turns into a very delicate powder puff but that’s not bad.
It’s easy to wear and casual something to put on for a lunch with girlfriends.
    Delicious and very likeable.

Sweet gourmand fragrance but not heavy or too much. A good intro to gourmand fragrances so if you want to get into wearing bigger gourmand scents like Angel, or like La Nuit Tresor, this one is a good starting point. This is a sweet cherry and vanilla scent with marzipan and litchi. This is very edible and delicious, savory and sweet. I love how this smells. It can last a long time and has an attractive apple shaped bottle. I don’t know if it’s been discontinued but the flankers especially Amore Mio Forever and Dolce Paloma are more popular This one is a creamy and sweet like a dessert. I wear it to parties. Love it.

I really, really like this little cheap gem. I find myself wanting to reach for it more and more in the warm months. I definitely get sweet cherries, sour lemon and a creamy marzipan, but I also get a distinctive jasmine/white-floral note in the heart. It’s clean, fruity and sour-sweet, abit ‘plastic’ smelling, but that’s fine with me, it’s a cute scent, cheap and cheerful, and not meant to be taken seriously. The longevity is pretty good (~5 hours) considering that it’s a light/fruity scent and that it’s inexpensive. It has a politely pleasant sillage, I can clearly smell it on myself for atleast a few hours before it wears closer to the skin. I personally find it addictive. It is my go-to for running errands or for very casual days. The body lotion is good too, very scented, hydrating, and comes in a generous tube. It does smell like Nina, maybe abit more synthetic, it’s also more tart/sour and there is a more distinctive jasmine note as it dries down, but Amore Mio has a much, much friendlier price point and it lasts longer on me than Nina…so that makes it a winner in my books.

I wasn’t expecting to find this perfume but one day I happend to be at TJ max and saw it. I’m glad i bought it it’s light and fruity but not too over powering. i get alot of lemon and Cherry then after it leaves a sublte scent of the litchi great scent for spring/summer time

  13. :

    5 out of 5

Bought it blindly but definitely worth it. The smell is subtle and not overpowering. Starts off lemony and pretty much stays that on clothes but on skin it soon turns to marzipan cherry smell.
It’s definitely a fresh, young smell. Lasts pretty well but doesn’t radiate much so if you prefer subtle fruity perfumes like I do, this would be perfect.

  14. :

It’s the same scent as Nina (Amore mio came out before Nina Ricci). It’s fresh, fruity and a little bit gourmand in the drydown. The snake is a little bit scary (lol) but it’s a very beautiful bottle and romantic.

So I got this just the other day and I must say it smells good but a bit too mature to me the ending scents reminds me of my mom lol. While my boyfriend loves it I am going to pass. But I will say the longevity is AMAZING. I smell like this all day and I only use a couple squirts. I just wish Jeanne Arthes other scents would last this long. It’s a good scent fruity at first and if you like a nutty kind of woody end notes. Well that’s what it ends with on me it may be different for you.

This was a great purchase. Inexpensive and smells gorgeous.
On initial spritz you get Citrusy Lemon but that quickly develops into a creamy cherry marzipan. Gives off a cute princessy vibe.
Perfect for everyday wear. Perfect for everyone.
Lasts well and sillage is good too. You really cannot complain for the price. It’s quality perfume and not synthetic at all.

Smells exactly like Escada Cherry in the air or Nina Nina Ricci

  18. :

    4 out of 5

The fist time I tried I liked(just liked, not loved), but then I got sick of the smell, I don’t like it…
Reminds me a bit to Nina, by Nina Ricci (but I prefer Nina so far).
The longevity and the sillage are good, as the price.
The scents I stress the most are apple (even it’s not in the notes) and marzipan.

Honestly, after a few rather well needed glasses of wine and whiskey and a terrible day I rather feel at past 1am I need to review this.
So having just consumed sickly chocolate galore and a plethora of cheese with my wine, this is the perfect antidote.
Now I normally love heavy incensey niche scents but as I sit in bed currently (or even right after showering in the morning) I must admit this is the perfect fruity floral!
It’s not sickly sweet and it has a gourmand note whilst still being rather refreshing. To me it is mostly lemon and marzipan with hints of things like cedar (which normally doesn’t work for me) and musk (don’t particularly catch it but something lasts on my skin and I’m assuming this is it.)
For £10 in the sale with body lotion I’m perfectly happy, it’s tons better than its sibling ‘Amore Mio Forever’ (smells like nice fruity shampoo to me) and beats modern sugary celebrity scents!

I excitedly tested this in my local Walgreens a few days ago along with Amore Mio Forever on my opposite wrist. I left a less than glowing review on Amore Mio Forever, but thankfully unlike AMF I did not get the gag-inducing dish soap scent on Amore Mio. I did get a bit of clean soap as if someone had added liquid soap to the perfume, but the initial soapy notes faded to something akin to sour cherries. I disliked the scent but found it considerably more bareable than its sister scent. As the dry down notes emerged I found my tolerance for Amore Mio improved drastically. It is a fruity, sweet and sour, cherry-esque scent but overall nothing to treasure. I must say having read many sparkling reviews of Jeanne Arthes scents I was crestfallen! I do hope that many of her other scents I’ve looked forward to testing (Guipure & Silk, Fuel Power Woman, Private Room) are better.

I didn’t like this…It smells kinda sour.I think this would have been nice with just the tonka bean, cherry, marizpan and almond. The cedar, lemon, litchi and musk didn’t belong. These notes didn’t mesh well to me.The only thing I liked was the bottle

  22. :

    3 out of 5

As a gourmand, nut, fruit, foody fan… this disappoints- much like some reviews warned. But I still had to try it. It’s a lot like Nina, which I didn’t like either. It’s wearable, but far far from my favorite or even something I’ll reach for. It’s sour fruit, sweet, with some tang/spice that I’m not sure about…

I’m actually loving this scent. I paid $6 for a 3.3oz bottle and I have no regrets on this fragrance. I find it long-lasting on me and so light and fruity. I may not run back and get another bottle like I’m tempting to do for $6 but I will definitely enjoy it. For me it’s really cherry-fruity citrusy fresh 🙂

I love the bottle. I just tried this today, and am having a hard time smelling it on my skin after the initial spray. I need to stop blind buying perfumes, I think I have a perfume problem, actually…
I do think it’s pretty, fruity, and sweet, and will spray it on my clothes as someone suggested. I don’t think I will replace this with another bottle when it’s gone, but I like it for now.

this perfume describe a young women eating lemon candy apple,, near rose garden, secretly watching the man that she secretly love with telescope, in the bright sunshine.. it has sour and sweet taste,,looks pure but yet not that innocent

  26. :

    4 out of 5

it’s affordable dan lasting longer if you spray it on your clothes, not your skin. for me it’s a lil’ bit sour, but that’s okay since i love the fruity scent.

Mostly lemon and cedarwood to my nose…:( Its a very sour scent to my nose, not even sweet! Sorry, not for me!

typical sweet fruity-florals. still a nice scent though, the lovely packaging is a plus

Very simple, light, summery. Very synthetic, extremely sugary.
It has a syrupy quality, and even the product itself is a little sticky.
Sweet & fruity overdose: Mainly blackcurrant with hints of strawberries, raspberries & litchi, all mixed together with a sour touch of cherry & a tangy citrus edge.
A zesty fruit cocktail with lots of sugar on top.
Reminds me a little of the Flowerparty fragrances by Yves Rocher, the difference being that this is all sugar & no pepper.
Has a shampoo/shower gel/body spray vibe, so could be very nice sprayed onto the hair or clothing to freshen up.
Definitely for spring & summer daytime wear. Fun, sweet, inoffensive.
Edit: I’ve tried spraying this onto fabric & the cherries really come through once it’s settled. On my skin the cherry is only hinted at, but on my clothing the cherry is much more apparent.

The “half apple” bottle is cute but that serpent cap… bleah… talk about kitsch! Were they trying to hint at the original sin with this design… the apple, the serpent and they called it “Amore Mio” meaning My Love?!
Thankfully the perfume itself smells good. I was honestly expecting a bit more nutty gourmand richness from it looking at its composition, but instead i got a very fresh fruity vibe. I guess this could be a flirty smart-casual fragrance. It’s projection was decent and i really cant complain about the longevity.
I didn’t go gaga for it but i’m sure it’s gonna grow on me eventually =)

It smells like a sour apple Jolly Rancher to me. It was a very affordable, blind buy. I’m pleased. I plan on wearing it during the Summer.
UPDATE: My husband doesn’t want me wearing this perfume because it gives him a headache. I gave it to my mom and she loves it.

just ordered it online – cant wait, the scent looks quite gourmand..
UPD when sprayed on the ahand, sounded quite well for 5-10 mins, then – sth sour & cheap..

  35. :

not really fruity for me…. the flower is stronger than the cherry….

  36. :

I simply love this smell. Sweetness at its best. My favourite perfume. Plus points for the affordable price tag. I did try Nina by Nina Ricci. In the beginning, they do smell exactly the same. Sweet and playful with a tinge of shyness. But towards the end, Nina ends off with a perfumey smell totally different from the initial sweetness, whereas amore mio gets sweeter over time. Lasting power is pretty strong considering how I live in a warm climate country and sweat half the time but I’m still able to smell the gentle sweetness at the end of the day.
If anyone wants to swap this, I have a new unopened bottle. =)

i bought this online, and i’m so happy i bought this. i love the smell, it reminds me of a windy-spring-day and the smell makes me happy. this lasts very long on fabric, but not very long on my skin 2-3 max. but still, i love it.

  38. :

at first,, i like it very much, but at last.. i’m sick of that sweetness.. too sweet and i feel dizzy

  39. :

    4 out of 5

This scent is fresh and sweet and the lemon and cherry seem prominent. It is very inexpensive too, so that’s a plus. I don’t know if I would ever buy it again because of its similarity to other fragrances I already have, but the apple bottle looks cute next to my collection of Nina apples. I may even consider buying the other versions of this just to collect the apples. 🙂

I like this! This may not be a well-known fragrance, but it smells totally good! It’s inexpensive, and it’s stays long on me. Smells sweet, but not too sweet. The bottle is also pretty. Man, I love pink liquids :3

I just got this and it smells like Antonio Banderas blue perfume. It is like Nina as well. That is why I got it. I have the Antonio one and it just would not last on my skin this one lasts and lasts for me. I noticed a few reviewers said it doesn’t last verywell. I tested it first and it lasted so I got it. It is cheap and really unless you really want the Nina bottle or whatever this is just as good and probably lasts just as long. The mazipan is a little like Jennifer Lopez Live Platinum. This is sweet and foody smelling but as it dries it is smoother and less sweet. Try the Antonio one or Nina. If you like those then that is pretty much what this is. I only say that so you don’t go searching for it because it is hard to get and just as easy to get Nina or Antonio’s one. Very similar.

this one is ´nothing for me. i think the bottle looks on the picture much better than in reality. according to the notes i should like it, but i don’t. to me, it smells artificial and cheap. ok it is cheap, but that does not mean it has to smell like that, does it ?

    UPDATE:
[ I got it finally! If anyone wants it, PM me. 🙂 ]
The only thing it has similar to the first edition is the name and bottle. The scent is totally different. No more apple. Even though I wished it was the old one, I actually like this one.
Its sweet and crisp, gourmand but a fresh one thanks to the lemon. I get all the cute notes listed and the blend is really pretty.
Its great for its price and everyday, casual wear. Lasts well on clothes (6 hours +). On my skin it blossomed nicely through out the hot day.
Overall, a youthful, likable and tasty (un-cloying) scent.
4/5 stars for being affordable with good quality.
    Edit:
Not at all like Lempika – as some people say its a rip-off, like jeanne arthes cobra copied poison. Lempika is heavy, amore mio is light and they smell different. Total opposites.

I think I will make a point about this fragrance – why bother to release it if it is impossible to find anywhere??????
The notes seem to die for 🙂 but it is not possible to find it anywhere at all!

okay, thank you fragrantica for adding this but I think theres something so wrong about the info, not at all what I remember it to be. The one I had was a green liquid, totally different colors. And the smell is a very subtle sweet green-apple smell. hmm….? this is really weird….I have info from other websites that says really different too.
@mad-lainey – the same as many other fragrances on fragrantica.
