Everything but amber. He looks like the younger brother of “Africa”. an unsuccessful copy of JPG “Le Male” due to mint, cinnamon and vanilla.
Rejected.

It has some fresh, out of the shower vibe, think it’ s a good scent for work during a summer.

The opening to me is a summery tanning lotion from the supermarket. Pleasant but common enough to go rather unnoticed. After the first 5 minutes I definitely can smell the similarities with JPG Male. To me it’s all about the kind of musk used, in combination with the vanilla and orange. The vanilla-orange accord would be lovely, in JPG with noticeably better balance and quality though, but with this particular musk it is totally repelling to me. In both this and JPG. It gets cloying, synthetic and nearly unbearable to my nose. The musk reminds me a lot of the horrible Alyssa Ashley Musk.
Luckily, Ambra Indiana doesn’t have the longevity of JPG in this part, which means the musk actually fades a lot in an hour or so. And when it does it gives way to a very warm and pleasant, comforting skin close mix of vanilla, tonka, orange flower and amber.
I must admit I am little bit smitten with the dry down of this. Not FB-worthy since I would never use it that often. But the kind you’d like to have a smaller bottle of to tag along on sunny weekend vacations.

This unisex parfum adapted for women and also for men smells a lot like L’Erbolario Mandorla.

It’s pretty good. It’s not refined or anything, actually rather “bodyspray-ish”, but still pleasant, and light enough if you go with one spray. I am amazed, however, by the number of fragrances that try to imitate JPG Le Male. Yes, because do get something redolent of Le Male in Ambra Indiana. It’s probably the woody/vanilla/orange flower accord it has. No mint and no lavender, but still… that JPG vibe is definitely there. Tesori d’Oriente already has another fragrance that’s a really good dupe of pre-reformuated Le Male, and that’s called “Africa”. With that being said, this is light enough for close quartes, and pleasant enough for casual use.

a pleasant amber, it goes really quickly though, maybe 3 or so hours. struggling to detect it on my arm…only put one spray, mind you. nice and resiney. there’s something else in this, something floral, maybe mimosa. not sure…

Every now and then I smell a Tesori d’Oriente in a supermarket in Italy, just for fun and evrytime I end up smelling very cheap and synthetical but not stinky 🙂
Ambra Indiana (of, how could I not try a perfume with such a name, LOL!) is a nice cheap amber, very straight powdery amber with poor lasting power, but with some sillage, so if you happen to like it please don’t overdo!
I tried many ambers, especially in winter, to find out my perfect one. Not yet found, but L’Artisan comes very close and Reminiscence Ambre is not too far, but Tesori d’Oriente is not the case.
They sell also all the bath line on shelves (not everywhere) and those are quite pleasant for an ambery warm bath in deep winter.
In Italia si trova quasi sempre nei negozi della catena Acqua & Sapone

It’s branded as unisex but it’s way too feminine for my taste. Comparing and trying to classify this one as a mens fragrance it’s neither fresh nor sensual – it’s rather choking, nauseating and powdery. I gave it to my girlfriend as she really likes it and it smells lot better on her skin. It’s definitely not manly pair of shoes

This is a wonderful Fresh Amber perfume. Not too dominant, but good staying power. I would recommend this one if you want to smell fresh, but sensual too and have to take into account some distance (for work or example).
