b.b.b – :
Amberfig Extrait is part of the Amberfig Les Parfums collection, which was conceived to celebrate the two years of the brand, launched in 2014. This collection brought three homonymous fragrances, but distinct in composition and in concentration (EDT, EDP and Extrait).
Amberfig Extrait has top notes of fig leaves, cognac and peach. In the body of the fragrance, notes of fig, coconut, cocoa absolute, iris and caramel. The base has notes of amber, tonka bean, ambergris, immortelle and leather.
With 25% of essence, this scented bomb is the junction of everything that is good in the EDT and EDP versions. First of all, the beauty of the union of the fig leaves with the peach (in the output of Amberfig EDT), added to the cognac, which came in the body before and now appears at the beginning – more present – deserves praise. Then, we have the cocoa of Amberfig EDP, which got even better, thanks to a rich absolute dipped in a delicious caramel, not present in any of the previous versions. And to finish with success, the same note of immortelle (previously criticized by me for its common nuance), now completely “muffled” by the notes of ambergris and leather, the latter soft and rustic in the right measure. In my opinion, the best and the most well-applied note of the composition.
Amberfig Extrait does not project as much as Amberfig EDP (to me, the strongest of all in this regard), but it is far from being weak in projection, much less in durability. It has latent quality and, among the three fragrances of the Les Parfums collection, is the one that most transmits the concept of luxury to the point that the commemorative date demands. Definitely, if I were the CEO of a company about to celebrate an important milestone, I would not think twice about choosing this fragrance for the big gala evening. When I hear the expression “le parfum”, it is in this type of perfume that I think of.
For lovers of fragrances with leather notes, who seek the balance between the manly elegance of this note with the modern creaminess of others, as is the case of A*Men Pure Leather or Ferrari Leather Essence, Amberfig Extrait is a safe and uncomplicated choice. But make no mistake: the perfume is complex and elaborate to the extreme.
