Description
Making Of Parfums is a new niche perfume line that is created in 2014 by Audrey Guetta Courbiere in Grasse, inspired by the Cannes Film Festival and the movie industry. Five new perfumes with symbolic names were presented: Premier Rôle, Inavouable, Rocher Princier, L’Amour La Mode and Amazing Shooting.
Amazing Shooting is a vibrant and intoxicating mixture of apple and rose liqueur with the warmth of spices, plunging into cold, strict and metal accords. “Very high in the sky, a few privileged people attend to an amazing photo shoot. Flashes crackle on the rooftop in the heart of Manhattan. Models fly, flirting with the cold emptiness. The buslte of Midtown, a few tens of meters below seems so far away. Among giants glass, and steel, time seems suspended…”
Top notes: red mandarin, mint
Heart: Manzana apple, rose liqueur, black pepper, benzoin
Base: tonka bean, patchouli, sandalwood, cashmere, metal accord
The fragrances are available in elegant, opaque black bottles in quantities of 75 ml. The design of the bottle is signed by Waltersperger. The compositions contains 70% of natural ingredients and 20% of extracts.

More of a soapy rose fragrance than metallic apples, some cashmere, and more of mint. After 5 minutes it changes into “Head & Shoulders” shampoo! Meh! i have absolutely where is the amazing shooting!

Love at first sniff, and double-take doppleganger for Amouage Reflection. Received this sample from a generous Fragrantician, and got hopes up that Making-of-Cannes might be more affordable than the Amouage.
The Math:
Shooting
2.5 fluid oz /74 ml
$212
vs
Amouage
50mL = $260
So technically Amazing Shooting is more economical. However, there’s a strong gray market (ebay) for the Amouage, but zero listings for Cannes. Hence, leaning Amouage.
Scents were nearly identical on my skin, and loved them both.

I get none of the notes listed except for a terribly antiseptic metallic note that affronts the nose like a shovel to the face. Rose and green apple? Tonka and mint? These notes are so opposed it’s no surprise this fragrance is more insulting than elegant. A resounding “NOPE” for me!

This is really nice! Cannot stop smelling it. Perfect for summer and maybe even year round.

I have not tried this perfume. I am sure it smells wonderful. I understand that The Making of Cannes is about the film industry, but for the love of God, why would you call your perfume “Amazing Shooting” with the temperature of what is going on in this world. “Amazing Film” or something worded differently, would be so much more appropriate.
