This smelled so good, warm vanilla spice. The sandalwood kept it from smelling like food. I have hardly any left in the bottle. I didn’t even spray it to review, just smelled the cap. I really liked mixing this with Amorito. I guess I’ll have to use what is left on a special occasion.

My very first oriental! It was just right for my teenage years, when I was in between: nicely fitting in and longing for something darker, something “more” out there.
This was so radiating, yet so contemplative. A zen kind of blend.

Welllll, there’s good news! Commodity Golds’ fragrance titled “Gold” smells exactly like a blend of Altaro and Amorito. I also love those two and kick myself for giving Altaro away. Grr. Oh well. Go to Commoditygoods.com to read more about Gold. It has a SLIGHT vetiver note, but nothing too heavy.

Gorgeous. This combined with Amorito used to be my signature scent. I wish they still made it.

My favourite amber in the world. Sexy in a bottle. I wish they still made this.

So glad I found other enthusiasts to tell you about this one, my favorite for the past 6+ yrs!
It’s the perfect vanilla-softened cedar scent and simply THE BEST out there of its kind for BOTH genders!!
All other cedar and woods scents that aren’t specifically “cashmere wood” are either too dry, or have vetiver or pathcouli.
This is different for all of you who think you hate strongly woodsy scents.
Also, if you own or love Hypnotic Poison, or smokey, vanilla, and incensey orientals, try this; like the other reviewer, my Catholic incense-loving-ex loved this on me too, and started wearing this class of scents 😉
Likewise if you constantly find yourself buying and layering cinnamon-clove, vanilla, and musky sandalwood or amber and woods scents to get the perfect perfume, wishing you had it all in one smooth bottle!
The problem is, I’m in Canada and telling all of you to try something that, last time I checked, our home-based Body Shop company stopped selling!! 🙁
So, I’m kind of desperate!
You can wear it to work, then a formal function, and then to bed, because it’s a “warm, send me to sleep with sweet dreams” reassuring perfume.
For me it wards off nightmares – like the olfactorily-UNrelated Aromatics Elixir by Clinique! *lol* Really! 🙂
It’s also classy, sophisticated but not “trying”, and NOT too “gourmand, foodie, cheaply vanilla.”
The vanilla is NOT boozy or bourbon-y, which I dislike.
The ingredients in this can’t poss. be cheap. This is balanced, GOOD stuff and well made! (Maybe pricey ingreds. is why it was discontinued? 🙁 )
Smells like Pi for Men but perfect for women. So, currently trying not to run out, and VERY surprised the ingreds. CEDAR,tolu balsam, extra balsam, and mosses (I know they’re all different, but I think one is treemoss) were omitted! BODY SHOP? Please sell again! So many expensive wanna-bes and “posers” will never recreate this no matter how they try. No equal to this exists.

I had this one and liked it much. It smelled like you were in a church full of insence. I often combined it with Amorito. The staying power was not so great, maybe around 3 hours.
