This smelled as green as the grass green glass bottle. You get a bit of that citrus in the top and the floral once it dries down a bit. This one mixed really well with all the other colors, I have 1/3 of the bottle left.

Oh my goodness! This is probably the first scent I’ve ever owned. I can still remember the way it smelled. Green, fresh, citrusy but definitely feminine. Non-offencive, easy scent. I also had Chymara and Citrella, but they weren’t that special. I’m not sure if I would wear Beleaf today, but if I get a chance, I will spray it all over myself for nostalgia.

This is such a perfectly leafy, sweet scent. I cannot recommend enough. Good on its own, or better mixed with Minteva and/or Zinziber in the same line.

When this line debuted I had fun picking the scents that seemed to work for me, much to my surprize BELEAF, VELIQUE and CHYMARA were perfect, I alternated Beleaf with Velique, Velique and Chymara, Beleaf and Chymara. Why is it when a line seems to be doing well, as in sales, they pull it off the shelves? If it aint broke don’t fix it!

I remember the first time I bought this was in 2005. That was the very first time I paid attention to EDTs and EDPs (I loved colognes before that). And I think I’ve made the right choice by having Beleaf as my very first EDT. I’ve been falling in love and craving for this type of scents since then. Very green, fresh, mood-lifting (even when the day is gloomy), and it draws compliments, a lot! Many people say “You smell good!” when I’m wearing this. I know some people just can’t get along well with fig because they might end up with fainted skin-like smell, but thank God it doesn’t work like that on me. In short: love at first sniff. Too bad this was discontinued, lucky that I still have one with me now.

To me this smells like the aroma of freshly cut stems of various flowers all at once.
I’m thinking that would fall under the “GREEN” note, I do not know what lily-of-the-valley smells like.
I know it’s listed as a woman’s fragrance but it seems unisex enough for me and I usually layer it with another green/floral cologne when I go out and about.
My masculine scent of choice for the layering is Heno de Pravia.
It lasts a good amount of time and it is linear, in other words- same from begining to the end.

somewhat like Mark Earth by avon, but this is lighter and not as long lasting. nice and fresh for spring and summer. i get a little bit of lemon at dry down, must be the bergamot. clean and green for today’s spring day.

I bought this for a friend and myself twice. Love the green leaf smell. It smells really fresh. Just too bad it doesn’t stay on for long.

I got this fragrance from ebay. I paid £16 for two bottles. Smells realy nice and fresh , but its sillage and longevity is very poor. Thats a shame because it is a realy nice scent. I would also say that it is a Unisex fragrance, or maybe not as it does not have staying power on me.
Very grassy and thats what I wanted and thats what I got!!

I recall this perfume made its first appearance circa 2000, still got a bottle, maybe on it’s 8th year now.
I think many assume the fresh cut grass scents from the association of it’s bottle, the dark, green colours.
But if you try to omit the green bottle, closing your eyes, and really tickling your brain, you’ll find several notes listed above.
    Bergamot.
    Lily of the valley.
    Sandalwood.
    Musk.

The notes above are all wrong. The Body Shop BELEAF is what it says: a concentrated bomb of green leaves! Very clean and not at all sharp or mean. I myself loved it and lamented its discontinuation…

I bought it years ago and from what I remember it was totally green and a little bit citrusy on my skin, in fact I would have expected to have more citrusy notes in it! I would have never thought that those could have been the notes.
As Gesh said, fresh cut grass it’s what it smells like.

Sorry to say this, but this was a floral-green. It smelled like sitting in fresh cut gras, with really green fig leaf and a tiny muguet somewhere near.
It was quite natural smelling and affordable. I suppose it’s still available in some auctions…
    Edit:
as to the comment of sherapop: for all those who miss this, I find Earth by mark. quite similar to this!
