Yes, the similarities with Eau Sauvage are striking, but we’re talking about the Eau Sauvage of 30 or so years ago, and given its eau de parfum strength, much longer lasting.
There’s a lovely, classical, and I hesitate somewhat to say “rustic” accord of lemon, moss, chamois, and white florals here that seems to have been erased out of modern Eau Sauvage’s formulation. More’s the pity for the Dior, but it’s a real triumph for Galimard’s nose/noses.
Really good stuff, great value for money, too.

C’est une grande découverte pour moi,J’ai l’eau de parfum et elle est meilleure que L’Eau Sauvage actuelle et ressemble vraiment à l’Eau Sauvage des années 70/80.
Un Must.

“Aigues Vives”, is a lighter (and a less “urban” if I may say so) version of “Eau Sauvage”. I do prefer the Dior equivalent.
