If anyone misses Dior Homme Sport 2008 version, here’s your substitute. Not in the first 60 minutes, but after that, it smells the same to me, despite the note structure having basically no commonality.
I get ginger and citrus an hour in. It is nice, but very boring and “been there done that”.

Your olfactory journey isn’t complete, without a trip through Xinú. This house has been on my radar from back when the only person talking about it, was the obscure-connoisseur Roge’. We’d even exchanged emails with the perfumery, and the only way to obtain sample vials, was to visit their Ciudad de México store. But then! It felt like Christmas — Lucky Scent began carrying the line!
Out of the 4 that I sampled (from 2016 – 2017 releases), Aguamadera wears closest to skin. It’s merely a whisper, compared to a sillage monster like Copala. And a beautiful whisper it is. Bergamot is present at the opening, and Cedar throughout. Cedar is more pronounced on my skin, than Guaiac. If you like Dame Perfumery Scottsdale’s “Herb Man”; “Sea foam” by Art de Parfum; or Shay & Blue’s “Dandelion Fig”, you will love Aguamadera.
They have in common a refined blend of polite cedar, dusty vetiver, a subtext of leather, and leans just slightly masculine. As a woman, I do love this, and adding to the wish list.
