If somebody has a bottle they don’t want, I’d swap gladly or even buy. Please PM me! Thank you!

I was obsessed with this one for a month or two, unfortunately it’s been discontinued. When I wear it, I get comments, once was like: what is this smell? Is that you?
Not sure that was a compliment. But combination is an interesting one, try before buy! (ing)

I received a sample of this, amongst many of the Jo Loves scents, and was a bit fearful of trying this creation. Woody scents are quite strong on my skin, and are not my favourite. The oud is quite strong, and remains the prominent note. I can detect some pepper and a hint of mango in the background. The effect on me is quite woody, so I would probably not buy this. I imagine it would smell better in late Autumn, and on someone who appreciates Oud.

Outrageous but interesting combination! Fresh mango for the first few seconds, than a peppery undefined flower gets embraced by burning incense and smoked wood that impresses with the intensity for an hour. No real sweetness and no freesia on me. But this yellow flower lets itself so finely intuited through the luxury smoked oud! Remarkable luxurious scent! Sillage is rather weak but I’d say this kind of perfume is all about feeling special in your own skin!

manage to stop by the shop and tested it..surprisingly the combination is the first i ever encountered. I have smell the oud rose combo, oud orange combo and others..but none have done it before..if it is a theater show i would give it a standing ovation…the common practice on oud combo mostly is mixing it with sweet smell which resulted in an extravagant and luxurious smell.
A lot of people have smell mango, the mango used in this case smell similar to a mango in my country which is difficult to find and expensive if translate to english means aromatic and sweet..the smell is really sweet unlike the normal mango that we used to smell…
the smell though started with the sweet smelling mango in my skin the sweet smelling smell lasted a bout an hour then the oud appear..the oud in this case do not overpower the sweet mango smell thus it seems t peek with the head and not the whole body..the combination of both wafts in and out imagine..a sweet rose with a bit musk but this combo imagine the sweetest mango smell with a bit of musk..it does provide an insight into a new type of smell that eludes u for sometime because the type of mango normnally used is either bitterish or sourish mango smell but the application of the sweet mango smell is not practiced..this is one of the smell which i feel all perfume aficionado should at least venture, it will give a big surprise on your “smell-bud”

OK, finally I made up my mind after a few days of giving it a chance. The verdict is: NO. And a big NO it is.
Mango and oud just do not work for me together. The mango is nice, the oud is lovely but in my olfactory world they are completely mismatched. As I kept sniffing it on the back of my hand for hours on end, the two frangrances just would not mix, they stood out paralell to each other, like two neighbours who fell out and are not on speaking terms.
Last night I came to the conclusion that ASOOOM – and this is of course strictly subjective – is a rather schizophrenic scent.

I’m afraid I didn’t like this. I don’t like Oud- and Oud doesn’t like my asthma! It’s certainly Mango and it’s certainly Oud, but I don’t really like it.

Strange!! Very authentic oud note combined with ripen sweet mango, and that’s it. Luckily, these two notes have complexation in themselves and compliment each other well. I think it’s a nice fragrance and very unique. However, I can’t quite figure out someone would be wearing this perfume. It’s just too odd (but nice).

Mango is not used all that often in perfume. I’m familiar with a few mango-centric creations: Balmain EAU D’AMAZONIE, Hermès JARDIN SUR LE NIL, and Banana Republic MALACHITE leap immediately to mind. They are all rather fruity perfumes which feature mango quite prominently. In most compositions in which it figures (not those three), mango is included as a back-up fruity embellishment. In Jo Loves A SHOT OF OUD OVER MANGO, the mango is rather marked–along with the oud.
Oud and Mango? Who’d have thought? Well, both notes smell authentic to my nose, but my problem with this composition is that, first, I’m simply not that fond of oud and, second, I’m not at all sure that oud mixes harmonically with mango. To me, this combination is aesthetically discordant. I do own that it was probably a mistake for me to waste one of my two complimentary samples from this house on a composition with the word ‘oud’ in its name, but what’s done is done. Alas.
For those who truly enjoy an authentic oud note, I can recommend this new perfume from Jo Loves for testing. For me, it has served to confirm my recent discovery, made especially through testing what seemed to be a soli-oud perfume from the house of XerJoff, that I find authentic oud notes rather unpleasant. Small wonder that the oud perfumes which I enjoy are only the imposters!

Since reviewing another perfume from this new house, I have learned (it only took a bit of reading!) that Jo Loves is indeed another Jo Malone company. My complaint in the previous review (of PINK VETIVER) was that new niche houses are being produced as spores off established niche houses. When and where will it all end? Apparently what happened in this case is that Jo Malone sold off her original company to the Estée Lauder Group but then experienced a twinge of seller’s remorse. She missed making perfumes, so she started another house.
My question: how is this possible? Usually in the contract terms of such sales (at least in the case of publishing, but why not also in perfume?) the seller is forbidden from producing works which compete with the sold items. Isn’t there a problem here? Jo Loves should be a competitor with Jo Malone, should it not? I truly wonder whether the supremely savvy (marketwise) EL Group would permit such a thing. Or perhaps Jo Loves is only another pseudo-independent house? On ne sait jamais…

I’m glad to have been introduced to this excellent fragrance! It opens with a burst of natural smelling mango, not too ripe, but sweet and exciting. it’s more an oriental smell than a tropical one, I think. It mixes perfectly with a spicy-flowery heart, a bit extravagant and creamy. Then the fragrances develops to a luxurious overcome: the oud adds its dark, smoky and exotic nuances to the ambiance. I think this perfume is exotic, joyous, and sensuous. Loved it!
