I’ll start by saying the Zara house puts out some great fragrances for, in some cases, ridiculously cheap compared to the quality.
If you look at the note pyramids of most of their fragrances before you try them, you may think they look mundane, pedestrian, unoriginal, even boring. But it would be a mistake to let that deter you from trying them.
Zara 8.0 is like the others in that I see nothing terribly original in the note pyramid above, but it has a certain something that sets it apart from other fresh aquatics. Maybe it’s the blend of the mint/melon combination. And of course “watery notes” could mean almost any combination of citrus, herbs and florals. So whatever the creator did with this, I must give him/her kudos. This is stronger, more pleasant, and performs better than a lot of aquatics, which are notorious for maddening projection and longevity. I get moderate projection and moderate longevity from this and it lingers on the skin a good while after that. I’d say I get 7-10 hours and another 2 or 3 on the skin after before it goes away. I am guilty of spraying liberally, and feel free to do so with the fragrance, by the way. I got a 12 mil travel spray for less than $7 at the Zara store at the Mall of America here in Minneapolis.
I also bought the same size of Night II Pour Homme and Vibrant Leather, which I will also review.
Anyway, if you’re looking for a good summer freshie that has decent projection and longevity and a better than average smell for a fresh aquatic at a more-than-reasonable price, look no further. I haven’t seen it online much yet, but if you’re lucky enough to have a Zara store in your city, it’s a rare goldmine of inexpensive quality fashion and fragrance. Don’t take it for granted.

Fragrance -8.0 Zara
Bottle from – 2017
He’s got a bit that tropical vibe going on.
8.0 opens on my skin with a fresh, clean, green and minty melon enchanted with an aquatic magic and with a wisper of romantic flowers.
As time goes by,it becomes woody, musky and powdery with a nice touch of cedar and the floral notes recede into the background.
Longevity – 7/10(7+ hours)
Silage/Projection – 7/10(moderate projection for the first 1-2 hours, than sits closer to skin for the duration of the scent’s evolution)
Weather -Best in spring and summer
Age – 18+
Compliments – 7/10
Scent – 7/10
Main notes according to me –
melon,mint,aquatic notes,lily,violet,cedar.
The drydown is woody, powdery,a bit musky and floral and I get some -woodiness,musk,cedar and flowers.
Emotions -fresh,green,calming,clean,tropical.
Occasion -For more or less any ocasion when you just want to smell nice and clean.
Perfect for casual activities, college and office.

This is not bad but it is so generic!
Sadly one of the Zara that really deserves the cheap price

Overall a nice, pleasant scent. Starts out fresh with the mint and melon and then mellows down. There is a certain sharp element (perhaps the cedar) that inserts itself as the scent dries down and stays throughout the life of the fragrance that I am not sure if I like or not, but certainly nothing worthy of disliking the final product. great longevity and good sillage. another good buy from Zara.

I saw this bought 3 others left the shop I came back 30 mins later to buy this and it was all gone. I had sprayed it on my winter coat sleeve and after 7 hours can still smell it.Next time it’s in stock I’ll be purchasing this cheap but decent quality gem!

Bought Zara 8.0 + 9.0, both for about 17 euros. For 8.5 euros/bottle I got two extraordinary perfumes. Zara 9.0 I like it more. Both are long lasting with good projection in first 2-3 hours. Then they gradually mollify and become skin perfumes for more than 8 hours (on me). Good smell, Zara 8.0 opens with a melon dominant and few mint and dry down in a musky-resin note.
Very nice bottles and very good sprayers.
Some people say that some Zara’s perfumes smell is somehow synthetic… hm, most of today perfumes smell synthetic, because they ARE synthetic.
My notes:
smell 8/10
longevity 7/10
projection 6.5/10
Best buy!

it smells exactly like head & soulders menthol

Fresh, not as generic as the common “fresh” scents, but still generally uninteresting. The melon note is obvious and completely overpowering other notes.

It’s funny how this cheap fragrance does performs, I mean, sometimes the smell does comes off harsh or kinda sticky. Nonetheless the fragrance has a really good sillage and monstruous longevity.
It’s not even close to one of my favorites, but it’s inarguably a good perfume.
The compliment factor on this one is really good too.

Are you a fan of green scents? If so give this a whirl.
Beautiful scent with a surprising power, great longevity (go easy on the trigger with this one) and has great controlled silage, try one spray on chest and one on your undershirt, for me this lasts 8 hours easily.
Because of the strong green notes I would class this as a spring scent through and through.
Once the green notes calm down the floral notes become quite prominent.
I tried this and 7.0 over the weekend and like them both.
Got both of them direct from Zara (7.0 and 8.0 in a multipack for £17.99, both 100ml’s) very pleasing scent, even more so for this price range.
Nice!

I seem to be able to detect these notes pretty good. Between 7.0, 9.0 and this one, I liked this one the least because of that. I may have overdone it too.
After being more conservative with spraying (about 1 on the neck and Adam’s apple and 1 per biceps), this one has grown on me a lot.
It’s rather vivid and green, and it takes an hour or so to turn into something soothing and calming.
Should be nice for the upcoming summer.
EDIT: On second thought, this is not a summer scent. I’d much rather have it on in spring. Still, projects well. I’ve given mine away as it was too much.

Fresh clean scent, the melon give it a fruity vibe, really nice for such cheap fragrance. Good for college guys on a budget.

Zara really did a good job to this bottle 8.0. Super masculine scent with long lasting projection and sillage as well.My advice maximum 2 spray is enough for the day.It really reminds me once i was still in my childhood time,i smell this scent somewhere inside the bank.I just dont know why i feel that this scent can make me feel protective and i can fully trust to the person with this scent around. And im keep searching for this magical scent for many years and at last i found Zara had make a perfume on this 8.0. Now i will spray this on everytime i going to work.
Super long lasting smell even after shower i still can smell it on my wrist.sillage are huge and nobody will never smell u.Good job Zara!!
