This smells like someone dipped into a vat of the original Michael Kors and Michael Kors Turquoise and jumbled them up quite nicely together. I’m not sure why some folks are insisting that this is basically a jasmine soliflore because to me this is gardenia at the forefront with her best friend jasmine skipping along beside her and tuberose smiling happily as they join her on a merry-go-round with an orange tree growing close by, LOL! This is a classic Michael Kors white floral fragrance, so if that’s not your thing I suggest skipping it. For me, it’s a nice surprise and I think more wearable than MK original because of its screechy freesia note.

On my skin, this is smells unisex, in the same vein as MK Sporty Citrus and Kim Kardashian Gold. Straight up citrus and jasmine with a slight masculine edge (that I thoroughly enjoy!) Sillage and longevity are A+ in my experience. I will finish my bottle and love every minute of it but probably won’t repurchase as I have too many just like it.

Bought it as it was discounted in Boots. Was a present for my mother. I asked her to wear it when we went to the theatre on her birthday. 1 hour letter she did not smell of anything any more. And the perfume smells exactly like Nuxe, my sunscreen body lotion that I use as face cream.

Whenever I spray 24K Brilliant Gold at the mall I immediately feel glamorous. And obviously each time I fall in love with its woody drydown!
Mirtik – :
Beautiful fragrance with creamy jasmine/gardenia. Such an underrated one.
CleloFierip – :
24K Brilliant Gold is a beachy, tropical, salty, summery, white floral perfume. Reminds me of a posh body lotion, in fact I’d love my body lotion to smell like this. Very feminine, more complex than the notes and description indicate and surprising that it’s 2015 release. It’s too too floral right away, no boring mandarin/citrus, spicy, vintage-y, with a dash of vanilla. Delicious, sensual and smooth pure white floral mix of primarily jasmine, less gardenia and some tuberose and coconut. Aldehydes are subtle and well measured; not at all overpowering, very matching with the whole juice. This is a youthful perfume with class, beautiful on any woman of any age. Sillage is good, not an overpowering scent but is noticed too. Lasted for five to six hours.
Too bad it’s underrated. I’ll need a bottle

Interesting…the dry down reminds me a lot of Womanity Eau Pour Elles, which I did not like. Granted, it’s better than Womanity, and the initial scent is good, but my chemistry obviously doesn’t want me to wear it.
Then I had my boyfriend smell it and he said it reminded him of a funeral home. And that was on a tester strip! So I don’t think I’ll be using this one.
I got a 1ml vial from myperfumesamples.com if anyone wants to trade me.
Gadofoogrer – :
Intense white floral on the first spray, let it sit for a few minutes and the fresh notes break through.Very long lasting!Would mix well with a fresh sweet perfume
ordzho – :
Must love white floral to like/love this……HEAVY on the white floral. I would not even look at the notes and the accords Fragrantica has listed here, because this is white floral, not much else. Clean and fresh. I personally love this, but I love white florals. Almost soapy or a fresh laundry/clean bed sheets dried in the Summer sun type of smell. Did I mention…HEAVY WHITE FLORAL?…Yeah.. LOL.
But I do absolutely love this, this is intoxicating for me and my man; we both love this, but we both really love white florals and fresh clean scents.
I love wearing this during the day in the Summer. But again, you must love white florals, or this will likely screech at you in an unhappy way to your nose.
lonelylockly – :
I wonder why the notes says “Floral” while it’s pure jasmine! Good thing I love jasmine, so I like it a lot 🙂 It’s an expensive-smelling perfume, perfect for day.
макс007 – :
I don’t really detect the orange top note. To me, it is a strong floral scent, but there is a more well-rounded aspect to it, instead of being straight, sharp floral, if that makes sense. This is a scent I like to wear a lot during the spring/summer. I smelled it as a sample and ended up purchasing a bottle.
Владимир33 – :
This perfume is too white floral for my taste. There’s definitely jasmine and/or lily of the valley.
It seemed better than Radiant Gold, when I tried it at store.
Not the worst one, but it’s not impressive either.
I wish there were more citrus and that it would be balanced more elegantly.
Valteron – :
Lovely long lasting scent fit for everyday. I agree that it’s not “young smelling” but that’s a good thing since trendy scents gear toward gourmand or fruity. This is more sophisticated than that & it’s simple. On my skin, I get the woodsy musk dry down that leaves a bit of a powdery scent I love. Don’t think I noticed the citrus, but the floral was obvious. Might have to get a sample before purchasing.
юрыч – :
Nice, elegant scent, but nothing extraordinary. Great bottle though. Good for a glamorous girl!
ircik – :
by far one of my favorite among these lines. simple compositions but it has a good scent. longevity and sillage are very good. this perfume remind me of two perfumes – CK Beauty & Chanel Chance EDT. not really close but it’s there. really reasonable price compare to Chanel Chance EDT
yuliya_82 – :
This smells nearly identical to Michael Kors EDP to me.I didn’t get the citrus, just pretty white floral. Doesn’t project as well as MK and doesn’t last as long. Its nice but I’m not going to buy a full bottle because its a bit pricy.
androidmark – :
Michael Kors 24K Brilliant Gold is a straightforward white floral. The opening is citrusy. I detected melon when I tested the fragrance today, probably because the fruit was slightly watery to my nose. The white flowers appear next. I guessed jasmine. When I came to Fragrantica and saw other reviewers identifying gardenia, I totally recognized it. The fragrance warms up to reveal a woody base. This fragrance is fresh as opposed to powdery.
A clean white floral such as this would be fitting for church, a spring day, or even the office. Something about 24K Brilliant Gold smells a bit dated. It’s like something my mother would have worn – probably walking me into church on a spring day. Think late 80s. Don’t let my association deter you though! Give it a try if you’re interested in a mainstream white floral.
erlan94 – :
I don’t get any citrus from this at all – just white floral. I got it on a discount code offer so I’m happy with the price I paid for it but probably won’t repurchase it at full price. It is a broad spectrum, pleasant fragrance that can be worn every day and won’t offend anyone. Nothing memorable about it but this is OK – sometimes I just want to smell ‘pleasant’.
qayz – :
I, too, was reminded of ‘Sand & Sable’, just expected more for the price point. Unmemorable, mild, unremarkable. Citrus, supposedly present, is relegated to the bench.
albanesd17 – :
This smells lovely on my skin. And I’m surprised! It’s a very simply combined fragrance of citrus, floral notes and wood for a little warmth, but I’m enjoying the soft elegance of MK 24K Brilliant Gold. For spring/summer this reminds me of a breezy, balmy evening dining al fresco under the stars. In the South where I live, patio dining is the norm and spring starts in February. Also, I love the white flowers and the way they float around me throughout the day. This could possibly be my new spring/summer, easy, breezy scent for warm days at the beach or lake. Sometimes simple and uncomplicated is truly beautiful.
Feserooceeste – :
I received this as a gift and I really wish I would have been given a gift receipt so I could exchange for something I like. The gardenia is way too strong IMO. It reminds me so much of the Scentsy gardenia room spray. Maybe my nose is picking up just the gardenia for some reason but it’s not a scent for me.
kostya1111 – :
A beachy scent. Creamy white floral, opens with a soft citrus aura. I really don’t understand the amount of dislikes, it’s not groundbreaking, but hey, it’s a perfectly nice scent for summer.
ivanov.ikvilibrium – :
I completely agree with tia2905. I tested a sample of this and immediately thought “Sand & Sable”. I wore S&S when I was about 12 or 13.
Nothing new or exciting here. Wouldn’t pay the retail price for this elixir. I prefer the Rose Gold over 24K Brilliant Gold.
EZuev1 – :
intesive white floral notes such as jasmine and gardenia; not really creative
Janna2105 – :
I was given a sample vial which fell out of it’s paper fold and shattered a few moments ago on my hardwood floor. I salvaged the considerable amount left in the broken vial and splashed it all over. Just as with most other MK scents I’ve tried this is another unimpressive white floral with prominent Jasmine, gardenia and some citusy top notes. As the drydown approaches I clearly smell gardenia, which usually makes my head swim but not so this time around. It’s more youthful indeed than the last MK I sampled (sexy amber) and though pretty for daytime errand running, there is nothing particularly remarkable about it. It’s definitely not purchase worthy for such a mediocre fragrance.
Update: I take back what I claimed about it being pretty. The gardenia only intensifies on the dry down, while the woods are non-existant. As the gardenia becomes greener & sharper it smells distinctly like “industrialized carpet cleaner”! Ugh!
Zeta_Igor – :
Of the three Brilliants this smells the most like the original Michael Kors and lasts longest. I agree it’s mostly jasmine and perhaps gardenia. I think it’s the best of the Brilliants but I prefer MK’s earlier scents. Seems awfully expensive for what it is.
Сережечка – :
I agree 100% with tia2905 ; as soon as I sniffed this I also thought “Wow, designers are finally swinging back away from the fruity notes towards the classic floral, particularly white florals.” Another that comes to mind recently is ‘Mod Noir’, although I don’t see where the ‘Noir’ comes in! 24K Brilliant Gold is pretty but not unique…if one has sampled extensively, most of us can name a duplicate of this in a more reasonably-priced, but admittedly less gorgeous, bottle.
pss729Bessinepome – :
As soon as I sprayed it, I knew I had smelled something like it before. Something…old school. After 5 mins of sniffing it came to me. Sand and Sable. This fragrance is almost a dead ringer for Sand and Sable for the first hour. After that, it dries down to a much lighter scent. Almost like it completely changes direction, at least on me anyway. If you love the top and middle notes, save yourself some cash and buy Sand and Sable instead. MK is pretty pricey, but Sand and Sable costs about $30 at Walmart and national chain drugstores.
ilena – :
I was given a sample of this at Sephora and I did not find it citrusy at all. The predominant note I smelled was jasmine, not mandarin or orange. Very jasmine-y. I adore jasmine so I’m not complaining. I have the original MK which I adore. Not sure I’ buy this. I must experiment a bit more.
