I have to keep it real, the bottle is beautiful, the whole bottle line is beautiful.
And I would advise you to go into the shop and smell this don’t blind buy it.
The perfume has a slight medicinal smell and its just a strong artificial leather, not the kind of Tom Ford leather but a cheap type leather smell.
I always get suckered into the whole image.
Jasmine is my thing, but I can not smell it.

Too “dark” for my taste: the vanilla softens the myrrh, bu still, it is too smokey and leathery. That said, this perfume is incredibly long lasting (hours and hours on skin)! Projection is strong too. Definitely unisex.

edit: This fragrance longevity is powerful. It lasted through a swim in pool after dinner. It dried down to a beautiful softer sexy almost powdery scent, but please do not mistake powder for old lady perfume, it’s almost ethereal and angelic. The myrrh sits so quietly and peeks through. This to me is just as well done as a niche fragrance, it has that beautiful quality of being different.
I’m not sure why this wasn’t marketed more and almost kept a secret. My recommendation get this fragrance you will NOT be sorry at all.

LOVE it!! What a wonderful fragrance, I don’t find anything spicy here, but vanilla blended with something warm and woodsy, so comforting, sensual, and deep, I love to layer it with something else in the winter to give me this cozy feeling, but I don’t use it by itself at all.

A nice fragrance and sweeter than I was expecting. It’s definitely one for the ladies.
I get lots of sweet vanilla and myrhh at the start. Its a shame the vanilla smells so artificial. Once it had settled then the leather car seat note started to slowly surface. The sweetness has thankfully eased off a bit now. I’m now detecting the ylang with creamy musk.
The sillage is good for the first hour and then it retracts back to a skin scent. I’m surprised at only moderate longevity. I can see why it is popular. For a mainstream fragrance it does smell almost niche. A cosy scent that’s perfect on a chilly day.
I think it just misses hitting the love target. Too sweet and not enough myrrh for me.

I love myrrh and have been looking for a fabulous, feminine myrrh perfume to take the place of my beloved Myrrh Ardente which is sadly discontinued. I love resinous scents, I love powdery scents, I love vanilla, so why don’t I love this?
Leather.
To my surprise, the dry down of Myrrh Assoluto smells very close to a Scentsy room fragrance called “Weathered Leather”. To my nose, it’s an indistinctly sweetened, clean and slightly resinous leather scent. The opening is powdery and sweet with just a hint of undefined fruitiness, but it all quickly transitions to that leathery base accord within a few minutes. It is certainly unisex bordering on something that would usually be created as a masculine offering. Men should have zero qualms wearing this one.
While very nice and seemingly well made, I do not enjoy smelling of leather. My search for a feminine myrrh to replace the sadly discontinued Myrrh Ardente continues elsewhere.

Valentina Myrrh Assoluto has been on my wish list for over a year, but I always managed to buy other fragrances first, somehow thinking that I would buy it when its price on evilbay would drop a bit. No such thing of course, so I bit the bullet and ordered it from FragranceX, unsniffed (samples nowhere to be found).
So my unicorn arrived today. And it’s lovely. Very true to its name, this is an absolutely myrrh-centric frag. And indeed it smells similar to Armani Myrrh Imperiale. In fact, to me it smells like an Armani Myrrh Imperiale ‘pour femme’ would smell, like the feminised version of that fragrance. The leather is quite subdued on my skin, as are the rest of the notes apart from myrrh and subtle vanilla towards the dry down.
Definitely recommended to people who found Armani’s Myrrh very strong or masculine, or to whoever is looking for a Myrrh centered mild oriental.

Masterpiece! I think it was made to be worn on skin. Reminds me of oil painting smell. Almost waxy, the vanilla is not that sweet cookie type, but more mexican. I love it, bit if you’re not into dark orientals – try before buy.

This fragrance doesn’t develop in the usual manner, you experience all the notes at once when you first spray and it is only after a while each of the notes are individually discernible. The myrrh is the star here, a fabulous sparkling star on a warm soft bed of leather and sweet ylang-ylang. Give this one plenty of time.

Beautiful and feminine myrrh based perfume that layers beautifully with Feve Delicieuse by Dior. Only down side is that it doesn’t last as long as I had hoped.
This one is a limited edition and already hard to source so if you can find a bottle, don’t buy it, cos I want it! Ha ha! :))
The Jo Malone Tonka and myrrh is another beautiful myrrh perfume. Both are full bottle worthy.
And I want both!

An outstanding smoky oriental blend that is based on the myrrh gum. A typical Arabian smell. The vanilla tries to make this smoky perfume smooth and feminine as much as possible. Yet, don’t expect to find this perfume super-creamy, and well, it remains unisex. A love from the first sniff for the ones who appreciate Eastern essences.

My friend sent me a sample, happy to try it, I love the Valentina line, but this one is far too Middle East/India for me..lots of encens, it has a heavy myrrh /smoky undertone…i don’t mind a bit of encens, if other notes sweeten it or soften it a bit, but this is a powerhouse…not that it is overly strong, but this is all about encens…I think this will work for people who love strong smoky scents…of course the drydown is sweeter, still, this isn’t for me…I find the scent overbearing. I can’t believe some reviews call it weak!?

On paper and at first it’s weak and not interesting but after five minutes there is magic.I can’t find good words to say about it’s smell.it’s vanilla woody notes musk very little flowers and something warm a little smokey and very nice and different.I think it’s leather but a good leather not manly or like rubber.I can’t say it’s a sweet perfume.it’s warm and comfortable and feels very good and unique.soft and creamy and great longevity.I want it

its opening is very sweet but it softens down to let the space to the woody & leathery notes to speak loudly…
it is a very warm perfume that welcomes you and surrounds you with lots of notes that push the cold away in the heavy raining days and nights.
it is very feminine though with strong leather notes, very sensual & tender though woody and strong…
my nose could detect woody notes even are not mentioned in the composition above.
the bottle is very gorgeous and elegant and tailored to be held by ladies hands!

Tried it just once and can’t tell much about it
I didn’t like it’s opening it was semi dark and melancholic and smokey,but then I could get lots of myrrh which I really die for it,blending with creamy vanilla and florals and a soft and warm,skin like musky leather.I find it very soothing.a smooth,lovely and sensual scent,with a cozy quality which is great for cold weather
It was a very soft scent and can’t fill a room but it’s warm cloud seems to stay for a long time close to your skin
I liked it but It’s very expensive for now so I’m not going to buy it until it becomes discounted
P.s:I have nothing with a grey bottle in my collection,I agree that it’s a very pretty bottle

The bottle is unbelievably sleek and gorgeous, however, the contents leaves much more to be desired. It’s a barely there vanilla and incense concoction that had potential. Initially it was a myrrh powerhouse, very striking and instantly nauseating. After an hour or so vanilla and musk kicked in with an array of spices giving it smoky nuances and powdery undertones – this was so SMOOTH, SENSUAL AND SEXY – but extremely WEAK. :'(

If you are expecting INTENSE smoke and incense then you will probably be disappointed.
This is creamy vanilla, balmy myrrh smelling.
Also reminds me of when you’re burning a vanilla candle and you blow out the wick.
