Description

The new exclusive collection Jil Sander The Essentials includes four classic fragrances of the house; two feminine (Woman III from 1985 and Bath and Beauty from 1982) and two masculine (Scent 79 Man from 1981 and Jil Sander Pure for Men from 2004 ). The new perfumes are named Woman III, Bath and Beauty, Scent 79 Man and Pure Man.

The Essentials Bath and Beauty, classified as slightly oriental chypre – floral, opens with green galbanum accords, bergamot and red currant. The heart of the perfume holds jasmine and powdery rose petals, while the base captures patchouli, vanilla wood and gourmand honey, giving it a mysterious character.

The fragrances are available as 50 ml Eau de Toilette.
The Essentials Bath and Beauty was launched in 2012. The nose behind this fragrance is Jacques Artarit.

This one is in my collection for a few years, I also bought a back up right away because I liked it so much.
Although this is a beautiful scent I did not grabbed it this year untill now.
The summer of 2018 in Holland was so nice and hot that this one did not came out of my closet earlier.
Indian Summer is going strong and ok it’s half October but the weather is great, cold mornings and warm and sunny afternoons.
This perfume is great for conditions like that.
The scent is crisp and fresh. Soapy in a way that my grandmother used to smell. A bit like Fenjal powder.
That green little can that our grandmothers use to have.
It gives me the feeling of getting fresh out of the shower feeling. When the hot damp is steaming of your still wet body.
Jil Sander made a gem, Bath & Beauty made an iconic perfume in 1982 (my birthyear yah) and I’m glad that they brought it back in 2012.

The opening is very green but that doesn’t last long at all; max 15 minutes. After that it’s honey and patchouli. On my skin it’s a creamy and powdery scent. I love this combo, I love this scent.

Whenever someone asks for a recommendation on something that smells clean, yet floral, this is the first one that pops up in my mind. It’s like a day at the spa: soothing and invigorating.
To me, Jil Sander Bath & Beauty is a clean honeyed-rose-galbanum scent. I don’t get too much currant or bergamot in it. The patchouli is very light, just adding some warmth to the composition, and the rose is more soapy that powdery. It is pretty much a linear scent. If I compare the wrist I spritzed this AM to the one I spritzed shortly ago to write this review, they both smell the same.
The projection is moderate in the first couple of hours. After that, it becomes more of a skin scent. The lasting power is good, easily 8+ hours, which may very, depending on the weather conditions. I also see this one as safe for all year and unisex, even though it’s labeled as feminine.

Feminine and attractive, yet very confident scent — not that “pretty” at all. A more authentic medicinal patchouli, unlike those modern mainstream super sugared ones. Patchouli and honey keep the scent grounded, yet not too sweet but a sparkly, very bright top makes it ever-invigorating. I’d say it’s a feminine chypre aromatic, very green but bright scent, full of energy and elegance.

A very strong scent. It’s perfect too wear after you take a shower or a bath. It could be unisex too. The rose pathcoulli formation works perfectly here. It’s a very clean, fresh, green fragrance. Perfect for summer days. Longevity is awesome!

    A light refreshing unisex skinscent.
Start with a really nice bergamot but I don’t get the currants
The jasmine and rose is really soft, where neither is standing out.
Meaning – this is not a rose scent , even if its roses in the heart.
The base is actually making this chypre a light chypre – oriental.
This relaunched skin scent is very easy-to-wear and could probably be worn all year round.
Of the two relaunched female versions, I would say I like
Jil Sander lll more, it stands out more with its ingridient carnation but this is soft, cuddly and pretty !
I was lucky finding both for a steal but I find them classy and worth buying , fully prized if you happend to find them !
Once again ,well blended perfumes steaming of luxury – from the house of
    – Jil Sander !

I’d say this is quite unisex. It has something soapy, aftershave-y and I would definitely describe this a the scent of taking a fresh bath.

I guess it’s too green for me and too much Galbanum. This is really not my kind of scent. It’s very loud too.

Very fresh citrus scent, it remains natural and light. It must be better in summer, as the higher temperature must give a different shape to this fragile scent. There is no overdose of any ingredient. It does not remind me any recent perfume by its’ structure. Special “thank you” to Jil Sander for having reedited the old iconic scents.
