After looking online to purchase a bottle of the original QF for my mother, I stumbled upon this and several other flankers. I was intrigued, and immediately looked it up on Fragrantica. I decided to purchase it as a blind buy. It was available at FragranceX for an amazing price. Never ordered from there before, so I hope the bottle I received today is genuine – I have no reason to think it isn’t based upon the appearance. Anyway, I immediately sprayed it on and I am swooning. I just love it. I have a bit of a stuffy nose today so it is difficult to really break it down and identify the notes, but I can smell enough to know it is incredibly well blended, deliciously floral, and as close to floral perfection as I have ever encountered. The pink color of the juice suits it well because it is so feminine and womanly. Sublime!

I agree with someone here who basically said that the opening leaves something to be desired. It was unique in a I-don’t-know-if-I’ll-ever-like-that kind of opening. But as it settled and dried down, it’s still unique but it’s turned into something more pleasant, mellow and powdery. Pleasant enough that it’s earned a place on my vanity table. There’s nothing like it that I own.
I’m not good at detecting individual notes yet (I have to read about them before I can rack my brain for the smell), but the honey is the prominent note. I think that’s what’s giving it a unique vibe as I don’t own many scents that may have honey in it, not that I know of at least. I’m not at all disappointed, not over the moon either. That’s not a bad thing, imo, because I can expose my nose and open my mind to different scents.

I absolutely adore the L’Original Quelques fleurs (Princess Dianna wore on her wedding day) so when I saw this other Perfume by the same Perfume House Houbigant,I thought I would give it a try too,& I sure haven’t been disappointed!! Quelques Fleurs Royal reminds me very much of the discontinued “Cerutti Image” which on my skin was a very soft citrus kindA smell!! Well Quelques Fleurs Royal certainly starts of the very sameway,& then the most rich honey smell enters into it,then the next thing you know a melody of the most exquisite Rose’s followed by white Jasmine Flowers, with the most beautiful powdery dry down which is totally gorgeous!! I have literally just received a bottle of this for my Birthday on Monday,& decided to try it out for the first time last night going out to Dinner with family & friend’s!! & I’m not joking you when I say the compliments where rolling in,& I Was asked no less than eight times “What’s That Really Beautiful Perfume your wearing Paulie”?? Even a stranger (lady in the Restaurant Toilet) said “gosh That’s really lovely Perfume your wearing love” & she asked me if there was Violets in it!! She then asked me the name/spelling of it!! In NOWAY does this Perfume smell like Urine on my skin as other’s have mentioned!! The Citrus & Honey really take the centre stage in this beauty,& I can honestly say I deffo have’nt anything like it in my vast Perfume Collection!! In A Word,I deffo will be buying this Perfume again as It’s simply stunning!! & yes Houbigant really does make the most beautiful Perfumes without a doubt!! Xx

Well, this is a brand new purchase (only my second wearing) and so far I’m not getting any urine, typical “headache inducing” types of white florals, or anything that brings to mind diapers (full disclosure, I don’t have kids so my knowledge of diaper smells may pale in comparison to some of yours, lol) which were my main concerns for this fragrance based on the other reviews here. So far so good! It’s a pretty, very sweet, powdery floral fragrance. Doesn’t smell like anything else in my collection. Yeah, there is something really different and interesting about this that I can’t quite put my finger on. The honey note does stand out, so I guess if you know that honey typically turns on your skin, consider yourself warned. I personally don’t think it smells dated or old fashioned (so far I can’t really find anything I don’t like about it). I’ll add an edit once I’ve worn this some more and better understand the scent and how it lasts on my skin.

A nice floral perfume, just the powder scent that i’m not a fan of.

Received today, first impressions are…..I relally don’t like the opening, but I am patient enough to wait for that to dissipate. Just 3 sprays is enough , I absolutely love Quelques Fleur L’Original, and I loved it from the very first spray, and I just thought that I would instantly love this too but Royale is very different. I think given time I will come to love and appreciate it, but getting over that first initial spray got me thinking ‘do I really like this’?
I certainly don’t DISLIKE it, but I wish it had been instant love like the orignal. Half an hour after that initial spray is very very nice, and powdery, but still not a love. I will come back to update on it once I have given it a fair trial. I’m not sure if it’s the honey I am not keen of, or the citrus opening, I really don’t like citrus in perfumes but I read that in this, it wasn’t in-your-face and just enough to freshen the florals. Time will tell.
    UPDATE:
Still not loving this, and this will probably be put on Ebay as I have a large collection, and have no room for just ‘Likes’, and I’m afraid that this is all it will ever be. Yes I have got used to the opening, and I patiently wait and still enjoy the drydown, and on me it lasts 6 hours, and I have plenty of perfumes that I love, without trying to make room for this one.

I have been wearing this quite a bit, in a city where summers are not so aggressive. However, I went to a yoga class on a hot summer evening… The heat, the sweat… and Quelques Fleurs Royale started to bloom, and then it became VERY VERY sweet. (I had sprayed it approx. 6 hours prior… so either way, this is a testament to it’s longevity).
To Nataly17: I understand your comment. I am not very much into sweet gourmand scents, although I do own some and I also enjoy honey tones very much.
The reaction of this fragrance in the heat, was to me, a welcome surprise. I thought: “Great! Another facet of Quelques Fleurs Royale -even if inappropriate for a yoga studio-“.
My advice: Take weather into consideration when spraying: Those of you who like sweet fragrances, but find some of them become cloying in the summer, may find a great alternative in this fragrance. Those of you who preffer floral notes with a honey undertone are better served by wearing this during summer nights, or under ac, spring, etc.
Either way: all I can say is, I have been wearing this fragrance quite a bit since April. I have been traveling a lot for work, and this is one of 4 fragrances that came with me, and the one I have been reaching for with most frequency. The more I wear it, the more I like it!
So there you have it, this is my update. You’ll find my original review 3 or 4 entries down.

in the start it was the most beautiful floral I’ve ever tried (actually this lasted for couple of hours!), so I already put it into my “OMG that’s amazing buy FB” list. But now I don’t know.. in the end it’s pure honey, I’m afraid to be attacked by the bees 🙂 jokes apart, pure honey is not what I want to smell. I would prefer it without any dry down if that beautiful florals can’t be kept!

Not sure how to define it. Its not quiet- its fresh, grapefruit is on the first plan. I can smell honeu as well and something sweet with sbitter grapefruit – complete original formula. Very femine scent. One of the perfumes I will never forget about.
And here my update initially I have wrote my review June 7th.
today is 6/16 and I have something to share.
On June 7th I have tested it in Sacks 5th Ave and I was in heaven.
Next two days I went to Nieman Marcus and I have got it from them.
I was wearing…but I felt something is weird.
Here is the think yesterday I went for my La Mer to Sacks. And I went to lady to show her my bottle and thank her for intoduce.
I have tested both and Sacks have better formualtion.
When I have opened mine it was nice- it goes well in warm days like even 90 F- blends well and beauty coming out.
The one from Sacks its more huicy and I am sure I feel grapefruit and when I have sprayed 30 min after the one form Neiman is gone. The one from sacks have stayed over night and thats the formula I am in love. The way it dry down and all it contains.
Apparently I cant return it to Nieman Marcus and I have to deasl with it.
But I wont purchase my fragrances in Nieman anymore.
I will tell you Cartier Must and must Gold smells bad in Nieman as well.
much better is in Sacks… maybe they change testers more often, because they do smell better in Sacks.
    7/11 update
I coudn’t resist – I have got the version in Sacks and I love it a lot!
Beautiful as my first review on it.

Having loved the original Quelque Fleurs’ fresh unique, yet complex clarity, I bought a full size of Royale without having tested it hoping it would be a similar, if softer, flanker. Wow. This is a totally different scent.
I could go on about the immense powder, the comforting authentic bees wax, and the soft warm yellow floral arrangement, but for those who simply want the ease of simile, here it goes – Expect an overwhelming puff of warm real baby powder, a hint of some yellow floral that turns sweet urine, and then the dry down that mimics the exact thick greasiness of diaper rash ointment. I’m talking Desinex level. I so wanted to love this even though heavy baby powder just isn’t my thing; I’ve even continued to spay it on before bed for a week just to see if it’s warm powder might work there. That’s about the only place it could work.
Can’t seem to wear this outside, especially in hot humid weather without feeling like I’m trying to mask the fact that I might be wearing Depends. Uggh!

Call me old lady with lilac hair if you want!
This is a GORGEOUS fragrance! Houbigant makes elegant, sophisticated scents. Period.
This is a very difficult scent for me to describe, pardon me if I butcher this fragrance:
But to my nose this has the warmth of honey, a lovely grapefruit scent and also there are aspects of Amarige by Givenchy in the opening, and a hint of Coco Mademoiselle and Tresor by Lancome in the heart. All the while, it still has it’s own identity and the dry-down smells like… like Quelques Fleurs Royal 🙂 Plus it lasts forever on clothes.
The dry down takes FOREVER. This is excellent quality perfumery! I can see my skin glistening even 30 minutes after spaying. I think this may be the product of having actual honey and/or beeswax.
Perhaps part of the reason Houbigant’s fragrances don’t get enough recognition among niche consumers is because of their packaging, they not only look dated, they also are inconsistent: they have different bottles for every type of scent, how can they build brand recognition that way?
They should either go for their lovely retro 1900’s style bottles (i.e: Iris de Champs), or move toward plain packaging, which is more popular among niche perfumers like Frederic Malle, Serge Lutens, or The Different Company.
Houbigant are you listening? I want you to stay in business! Only Guerlain can get away with hodgepodge packaging, and even they are currently struggling to reach a younger clientele!

Beautiful and older style floral and honey perfume. With respect to older women, this is no ‘old lady’ frag. ( which, of course, is a personal thing, probably depending on what Gran wore! Lol! :))) )
I find this to be very similar to S Lutens A la Nuit but this is my favourite of the two.
Grab a 10ml travel size for a safe blind buy at present on eBay.
    I’m not regretting my purchase.
    Very pretty and classy floral!
** as written in my review of Orangers en Fleurs, the house of Houbigant doesn’t seem to make it into the ‘trendiest niche frags’ list and it totally needs to be. I own 2 Houbigant perfumes and love both of them. So glad it stumbled on my sample vial!

Second day of spring time to take out the floral fragrances from my wardrobe. Fleurs Royale is the evening counterpart to Quelques Fleurs which is for me a day time fragrance. That one always evoked spring time flowers out in the sunlight and the fragrance smelled so much better after a shower first thing in the morning. But this, this is an entirely different animal. With this fragrance I get something that wanted to be more like a Quelques Fleurs Noir. I don’t see why they called it Royal Flowers. There is something posh and luxurious about it but it’s mostly the tuberose. That tuberose scent is always a mature sophisticated elegant scent in any fragrance on which the tuberose stands out. The honey sweetens the fragrance and also provides it with a warmth and sex appeal. This is the same kind of sexy honey I get from Vivienne Westwood’s Boudoir. It’s a honey that sticks closely to the skin and has a carnal quality. The citrus is doing nothing for me but giving it a freshness from the opening. The fragrance develops into very gorgeous florals of tuberose, rose, mimosa and jasmine. The mimosa is not listed it with the other notes but it’s there. And it begins to change itself into pure honey. This is a very orange colored scent. When the fragrance reaches it’s last phase and delves into the deep base notes I detect the sandalwood and amber, and only a light touch of musk. It’s mostly amber. It’s aromatic, warm, and golden-hued. Amber and honey pairing is a stroke of genius. This fragrance is really quite lovely. It wears for hours and hours and serves as a perfect way to start your day with Quelques Fleurs and end it with Quelques Fleurs Royale. I spray this in the air and walk into it. I love how this smells on me in the air on my blouse and others have enjoyed the scent as they detect it. Absolutely gorgeous.

Beautiful aristocratic scent with dirty vibe. Lady with very interesting history of adventures. I do love Original version, for its pure innocent meadow-like honey. In “Royale” honey is naughty, blended with sensual tuberose and musk – on a dangerous side. Sweet smile of a shark from a high society.
Many people noticed “pee” sort of trace – well, just like in many honey-loaded scents – the choice is yours, after all, only you can know your chemistry and how honey turns out on your skin.
As for myself, I do notice slight animalic dangerous, maybe too intimate undertone, which straight away blends into the harmony of best among Houbigant house creatures, – refined flowers on polished base, dainty and rarefied.

I love it. The first time I have tried this in the shop, it was sprayed on me and I really did not like it.at him I have tried this with tester and by only daubing on the wrists and neck. How wonderful really! There is a note at the beginning, which bothers me a bit but it disappears very soon and the all of it becomes such a lovely and light sweetness. It is a complex parfum, don’ t get tricked. If you try other parfumes you will realize how elegant and how precise this one is. I like it especially for the evening. I get this feeling of cozyness and warmth. The only thing is …it does not last long on me. What a pity! I don’ t think that it is old fashioned. When it dries not at all. But as I said, it different whether you spray it or daub it.

i just got a tester of this little lovely today and from all your reviews I was looking every day to see if I got it…can I say that the hype is real, this perfume is gorgeous! I absolutely swoon over it! I am not very good at picking out notes but I do get the honey which I usually hate but this honey is like a honey comb surrounded in a flower garden of roses. I can’t say enough, Ive been saturating myself in it since I got it and I love the fact that this is a quality perfume, really. This little precious lasts for hours which on my dry skin is like a miracle. I love you Quelques Fleurs Royale! XOXO…Mua!!!

The opening was almost offensive for me the first time, I can see why some people get the urine like smell. Theres lots of grapefruit and honey. Its like a sour/sweet combo.
I do find the drydown quite pleasant, more on the floral side, rose, some powder, tuberose, honey…
Its quite unique, not a masterpice imo but definitively special.
UPDATE: This one has grown on me, its a beautiful, opulent citrus/ floral scent. Very pretty, I’m glad I bought this.

Took this in a blind swap not realizing how dominate the rose and honey notes were. On my skin this is a very sharp, loud, sweet and tart honeyed rose. Both honey and rose are difficult for me as they tend to sour and take on a urine-like quality. The citrus only helped to amplify the sourness. I tried it several times and attempted to layer it with woody and amber fragrances but no dice. With all that spraying, my room became filled with this amazing lusciousness . . I realized why so many loves this fragrance . . . if it develops on the skin as it does in the air it is indeed gorgeous, not loud or too sweet or sour just a very deliciously sophisticated honey-rose. So for me it is beautiful room spray and I envy those that can wear this successfully. It has awesome sillage and lasting power too.

Gorgeous, long-lasting fragrance but much too “dressed up” for my relaxed tastes.
Have a partial bottle or 10ml decants to swap if anyone has Hermes Dans un Jardin Sur le Toit.

    Lovely indeed.
Not intensely sweet or overbearing the way many honey based fragrances can be – more like honey comb, as another reviewer has noted. The opening sparkles with grapefruit, and then the sweeter floral notes and bees wax take over.
Just as a side note, I think it layers gorgeously with Jovan Intense Oud!

I just got the the L’Original, and am in love. I cannot wait to try this one also. My hormonal body eats fragrance up as of late. So, when I find something that actually has a lasting power then I’m jumping into the pool. Love L’Original, so this one is probably good too. Will report back….

I absolutely love this scent especially when applied with a dauber as opposed to sprayed. I got a bottle of Quelques Fleurs Royale in a swap, only about an ounce left. I decanted the rest of the juice into a beautiful crystal perfume bottle with dauber… now I can sit at the boudoir and run this beauty all over my skin like a fancy lady!

I recently sampled this perfume and have been doing my homework trying to figure this one put! First off, it doesn’t actually have honey in the ingredients/notes list on the houbigant website. Sorry to be a downer but it just isn’t there, and I don’t smell it as honey but more bees wax.
It lists black currant and grapefruit,
jasmine rose violet tuberose and bees wax ( all absolute),
    sandalwood cedar vanilla and musk.
I think I might be falling for this powdery curiously beautiful fragrance, if only I could get over the granny association with powdery notes! I’ll report back with what I decide.

    This is so beautiful…
I really don’t have words to describe it, it is fresh but heavy at the same time, but heavy in a very good way. It’s thick and intoxicating, especially love the dry down. For me it’s different then anything I have, had or I tried. Strong and very long lasting, may be the longest lasting so far. I wore it at work one day and at the end of the day I could still smell it strong. I trow that shirt in my laundry basket and two days later when I was ready to do laundry, I couldn’t believe, this stuff is awesome. Love it, becoming one of my favorites !!!
    Edit :
I wore it for few times now, I am in love with this one, unfortunately I only have a decant of it and I really want it.
If anybody is willing to swap or sell, let me know please 🙂

i guess i arrived a bit late in my discovery of this perfume, i found it by accident in a vintage shop in the neighborhood. it swept me off my feet, so delicious and so elegant, that honey is such a classy upscale sensuality.
my intuition is taking me towards honey scents, i believe it would be a boom trend soon and my Houbigant would sure out beat any new honey floral 2014 essay

  26. :

This is one of my favorite fragrances, however, it’s got me a little puzzled. It smells completely different when sprayed versus daubed.
Spraying, I smell honey and very warm white flowers.
Daubing, I smell rose and jasmine, which are some of my favorite notes and what I was hoping this perfume would smell like. The dry down is honeyed rose, but still less sweet than what I get by spraying.
Either way it’s a beautiful, classy scent, but I wish I could get the same notes spraying than daubing as the latter tends to be potentially messier!

OMG, you guys nailed it!! Nordstrom zipped this to my front door this afternoon, and this frag is just incredible!! I’ve only spritzed one wrist, so far–that was around 1 hour ago, and I’m getting heavy rose and grapefruit, and the most deliciously sweet white (?) flowers and honey. There is also a hint of spice. This is a bouquet of pure femininity, seems I could enjoy this in any season–it’s very classy and young.
I’m in love (did I mention the BOX?? Just gorgeous. And I love the retro bottle and pink juice.)

If anyone can remember gucci accenti, this smells very similar to it. It really has a 90’s flavor to it. It actually smells like all other amber and powdery perfume. There is more sweetness to this than floral notes. Which makes this so much more appealing to the modern woman. It may come across as a classic fragrance, but it is also wearable and bearable even to the most sensitive nose. It has a discreet scent which places it on my conservative list.

  30. :

    4 out of 5

I love honey, but cannot smell it here. Tested several times at Nordstrom “Quelques Fleurs Royale” and “Quelques Fleurs”on both my wrists. The first impression was nice for both of them – jasmine and violets. After 5 minutes the smell on both my wrists was unbearable – musty as the air in antiquity store. Old, moldy, musty. I wanted so bad to wash it off but kept it for several hours. Both smells were flat and quite unpleasant. I wish so much to be able to smell what everyone smells in this classic perfume, the rich bouquet of notes, especially the honey and citrus…

  31. :

    4 out of 5

This was the last perfume I tried at the perfume counter after almost killing my nose by smelling too many things at nordstroms. I saved it for last because it was in the most uncool looking grandma style bottle I had ever seen, and was by a brand I didn’t know. I hate to even say it, but the style of the bottle looked like the kind of thing used by the unworldly, over 60 corwd who had no idea that chic niche perfume bottles stopped looking like this in the 1960s.
But Wow, Even though I could hardly smell anything at that moment, I realized it was a good perfume; I got the decant and took it home.
Now I am home I smell the warmest honey and perhaps a little paprika spice circled around the flowers. This is not a screechy chemical floral. It is also nothing like modern spicy designer style stuff that is so everwhere these days (Spicebomb, anyone?) This is warm, warm, warm. Yum. I will by a bottle. Sometimes being out of touch and left in the past really is a good thing, (even though this was created in 2004) because it allows you to “origional” in the most over-used sense of the word. Grandma is the new black.

  32. :

    3 out of 5

Lets face it. When it comes to honey in perfume Quelques Fleurs Royale does it to perfection.
This is just the most perfectly beautiful warm honey floral with a drydown that is simply to die for. ‘Classy’ I believe is the word that comes to mind. A modern take on a vintage classic. Still has a vintage vibe to it which sets it apart from the watered down generic modern day perfume, but it still translates perfectly to the current generation and does not deviate too far from the norm. It is very relatable and likeble while holding on to that special something. Longevity and sillage are amazing to say the least. This would be the perfect signature scent for those women who like to set themselves apart from the rest (which lets be honest, who doesn’t?), as this is a well hidden gem. Makes you feel like you share a special little secret with a few chosen ones.
Oh, and the packaging (which I rarely mention or even care about.,,normally). Well QFR’s packaging deserves to be mentioned, as it is so beautifully retro! And that gorgeous velvety soft box anyone? O.M.G.

Here in Los Angeles, it is a Mexican tradition to eat fruits and vegetables seasoned with the juice of Mexican limes, salt, and chile powder. You dice mango, pineapple, watermelon, cantaloupe, green melon, cucumber, and jicama then season it. Until recently, I never fully appreciated it. Sweet fruit, in my mind, should be eaten plainly. Now, I get it. Adding the lime and chile brings out another dimension in the fruit, it makes the sweet taste sweeter.
The same can be said of this perfume. It has fruit notes whose sweetness is enhanced by the lime and, and together they encircle the flowers that seem to be floating in honey.
I feel like a scene from a vintage movie! It’s as though I am eating my fruit while wearing a vintage lace negligee next to a tub filled with candles, honey, and white flowers floating on top.
I bought this because I read somewhere that it’s Dita Von Teese’s signature fragrance and I am a huge fan of hers and vintage, in general, and I’m totally totally in love!!! This blows away at least 98% of my collection. I think I’ve found my second signature fragrance at last, next to my beloved vintage Chanel No 5. This is everything I want in a fragrance and more.

  34. :

I found this to be much nicer smelling than the original Quelques Fleurs. It does not smell quite so “vintage.”
The scent on one’s skin is moderate in strength, and bursting – bursting – with flowers. Very spring-y, and yet there is an underlying slight powder that gives this perfume a royal elegance.
Personally not for me, but if you love smelling like hundreds of bouquets of fragile white flowers, you will not be disappointed by this perfume!

This is quite a nice floral perfume. I have to agree it is mostly all about honey, tubrose and rose. It is all-out vintage style. Exquisite, high class feminine perfume.
I thank the wonderful person who sent me a sample in a recent ebay purchase…it has been a real treat today! I really love this velvety powdery floral and look forward to purchasing a bottle come spring.;)
And I do get that faint lipstick note that just makes this heavenly;)

Quelques Fleurs Royale is my signature fragrance…but, by default. I wanted to like the original Quelques made in 1912…but the green, was, well too green, sometimes it was marvelous, and sometimes for me it was grassy green off old vintage yuk…then, I tried Quelques Fleurs Royale..I am stopped by men and women alike and they “Want!!!” that parfum, a Col. in Lebanese, military stopped me for this to buy for his wife… my Doctors nurse staff all wanted this…it is a gorgeously feminine floral. It is a departure from the usual Chypre for me, (Sisley Eau de Soir for winter is another exception).

Oh what a find this is! Without looking at the notes, I get delightful light pink flowers with honey-cream sauce drizzled on top. Powdery beauty with a distinct lipstick accord. Longevity is remarkable; at least 5 hours and counting. Projects minimally so one has to get close to be rewarded with its aroma. Guaranteed to smell different than anybody else and absolutely full bottle worthy for me!

Oh I wish I could wear this:such a beautiful, honeyed floral.I love the bottle and the box is so pretty.Unfortunately I sneezed as soon as I took the cap off and it only got worse once I sprayed it.I gifted it to someone else in the end..so disappointing. It is a gorgeous fragrance and you are lucky if you can wear it.Sigh.

Wow. I cannot say enough good things about this perfume. Even my husband made a comment about how good I smell, and he usually doesn’t notice my fragrances. I get a very distinctive honey note, with some amber/vanilla. It is described as a floral, but I wouldn’t call it that. Instead it’s a delicious, sweet, yet grown-up scent that makes me think of autumn. I would buy this in a second (I have a sample), if it wasn’t for the $150.00 price. However, I will make many hints for mothers day. I only wish they had a lotion available at Nordstroms too.

One of my favourite honey note fragrances. Very warm, rich, and smooth…extremely rounded composition, no rough edges or sharp angles that stand out. I don’t find it overly sweet ,just the right amount of sweetness amidst the floral bouquet. Lasts for a long time with a great sillage, but not as powerful as the original.

powdery white flowers with a very soapy honeydripped rose and a soft ambery-earthy base. still sweet. honey is detectable through the whole composition.
a unmodern classic perfume. can see zsasza gabor or sophia loren wearing it very nicely. nice but not a must have for me. suits woman 50+

I was given a sample from Bergdorf Goodman as it was highly touted, but for me, it is very powdery. The sandalwood, rose and black currant is what I noticed first. It then dries down to a vanilla, amber with a hint of musk scent. It is nice, but I would not buy it as it is too powdery due to the sandalwood and I do not like the vanilla/amber dry down. I am not a lover of vanilla fragrances.

I am simply speechless about this one…my nose is in total bliss from its beauty. This os one of the few perfumes that I would willingly pay the full price for without chasing bargains.
I think the fans of classics like Cassini, Apercu,Jardines de Bagatelle will truly enjoy it.

This is a bolder version of Karl Lagerfield’s Kapsule Floriental. If you agree, and want something similar but cheaper, I’d recommend you get the Kapsule Floriental.

It’s a beautiful honeyed floral, slightly gourmand and as sherapop mentioned, it has a fruity vibe to it as well which is almost edible (must be the bergamot and tuberose). It reminds me a bit of Molinard Nirmala and the more recent Mugler’s Innocent, but this one is sexier, dirtier and more animalistic than both – the indolic jasmine and sensual musk bathed in delicious honey form a striking olfactive trio.
Quelques Fleurs Royale is slightly savory, slightly oriental, slightly citrusy and very feminine – it’s a bit of everything and the balance it holds makes it a very versatile and wearable scent. It’s an all-season, any-time-of -day kind of perfume that can easily end up as a signature scent for a very soft, feminine lady.

Until now, I have had no familiarity with Houbigant perfumes, though I was curious since the house has existed–at least in name–since before the time of Schubert! I decided to try QUELQUES FLEURS ROYALE because I saw it for sale at NeimanMarcus.com and thus assumed that it must be decent, despite the fact that I have never seen Houbigant sold anywhere else but at drugstores… <
