A ladylike old fashioned fragrance in the style of the oak moss Balenciagas, Balmains …it reminds me somewhat of Jai Ose. It’s lovely, medium sillage, last 4-5 hours. A perfect dressed up option.

One of the surprisingly invigorating perfumes from late 90’s.. I found a bunch from that time still preserving their quality, as if just came from factory!! The first sprays during first 5 mnts are adorably chic and mood-lifting in a magical way. Green, and reminds me of som stuff from the second half of 70’s..I have just discovered this bottle and regret I didn’t record any memory with it from my past (: I noticed how it reminds me of Balmain Ivoire, in its greenness and the contrast between top notes and base notes.

I tried this back in February and was very disappointed. It didn’t project at all. I could barely smell it. I didn’t want to give up on it though, because of the notes. I really wanted something with rosehips. I tried it again at the end of April and OMG it was a totally different fragrance, warm, expressive,so lovely. The clementine is strong at first and then the florals come on board. They are very lush and a little exotic. I love the rosehips and they are noticeable to my nose. This did not work for me for a winter fragrance, but for spring and summer it is divine. It is not a monster on silage, but it does project well and on me at last about 5 hours, not bad. I would not call it a chypre, and really don’t smell much vetiver. The flowers and the clementine steal the show. I do agree with other reviewers that you need to let meld with your skin to really enjoy it,but enjoy it I do!

A beautiful floral woody musk that almost illuminates off the skin. Sweet bright citrus and yellow florals come in on aldehydes, but quickly develop into a liquid gold honey- the bottle is in perfect accordance with the scent. Vetiver serves only as a backbone, and while I cannot detect the rose hip, it may act synergistic-ally with the mandarin to add pizzazz. The Musk, Ylang and Sandal blend seamlessly with the Freesia to form an intoxicating base. Nice sillage and exceptional longevity.
Regarding this perfume’s classification as a Chypre, I think that’s pushing it. Mandarin instead of Bergamot- maybe. As to the Base, there is no Moss, or anything akin to it. Nor are the florals classic.

I managed to grab 50 ml bottle off e-bay seller for 25 with shipping. it is a GOOD price, considering it is vintage….What made me even more impressed- it came fully sealed with an old shop sticker and when i opened…. wow…honestly – i asked myseld: is it IT?!?
I know that la-perla makes 2 types ( per my gradation) of perfumes: one ‘specific’ and ones for the mass public.
I love both as with la perla u can be assured that any of their products LAST, even though may be fairly mild with little projection (Divina, creation).
But! Perfume Prive. EDP vintage. I am leaving the notes to experts. I am just a user. it is ‘specific’ one. Prive belongs to the perfumes that need to ‘cure’, ‘brew’ or in another words ‘wake up’ – and for this miracle u need to leave @ 30 min or so. The first spray is a BLAST of potent ingredents, mostly woods and greens- i don’t smell any flowers and my first impression was OH-UH… damn… :-(((, but knowing very well perfume La perla, i knew that have to wait with Prive to ‘merge’with skin.
The result is outstanding! wiffs of nice woody-flowery perfume with my moves- i love it! and i ll be huntig for another REAL Prive.
This perfume is a ‘stinker’at first spray but if u let it develop- it is a gem.
to compare it’s nature to what i have, it is La perla by La Perla, 24 Fabourgh by Hermes, Yvress by YSL, – these are the ones that require seriously and serious(25-35 min) ‘developing’time .

I have recieved it today and was very anxious to try this little known perfume from La Perla. Not many people have it and probably not many have seen it (i don´t remember seeing it in stores and there is only 1 review).
When i first took a bottle in my hands i instantly got the “vintage” feeling: the way cap sits, the way the sprayer hole looks like. I was thinking all the time that this perfume was created after 2003, but when i sprayed it onto myself i remember thinking: “no way it could be from post 2000, this smells like something very much from the middle 90´s”, so when i started to write this review i have discovered that it is indeed a 90ś perfume.
The name “Parfum Prive” and advertising suggest something very sensual, seductive and intimate, at least that´s how i thought until i have experienced this on my skin: 2 sprays on wrists and 1 on neck.
It starts as a very joyful and citrusy smell, a burst of clementines, not oranges, not mandarine, but indeed clementines with a strong freesia note. I also smell a light accord of vetyver, so you might get the picture how fresh and zesty it smells in the opening. This is a sprakling modern chypre, not the heavy oakmoss chypre from the pre 90´s era, a modern take on chypres. A bit too sharp in the beginning, but after 15 minutes starts to transform into something more subtle and softer, i start to smell osmanthus and rose hip and still a lot of freesia. I don´t think that the rose hip is the most dominant note in here, i would place the notes in following order: freesia, osmanthus, clementine, musk, vetyver and probably only then rose hip, then ylang ylang, sandalwood. By far my nose doesn´t detect any magnolia or orchid.
I think this is a bright and sunny fragrance mostly suitable for spring-autumn, but also good for summer, but i get the feeling that it might be also good smelling on a cold winter day, have yet to try it.
    Moderate projection and lasting power.

I was very Happy to find the rose hip is distinguishable in this perfume. However the Chypre feeling only lasts for in the beginning on me. a little of the clementine in the mid notes and a high note of natural floral sweetness not very sweet but piercing. Ylang ylang stands out a little, freesia is at a perfect level and there is no sandalwood on me and a nice barely there vetiver. Rose hip lasts and subtlety mingles from the mid notes to the end and is pure rosehip maybe greens too but no rose what soever.
This is not a modern smelling perfume and even though it is not a powerhouse for silage the tone is rich like the bottle with fresh fleshy flowers.
