The funny thing about this one is that it’s the least “nuit” of the entire line! Sure, it’s pretty heavy and woody for a store that targets 18-25 year olds. The oud is there (mainly in the drydown), but the amber and citrus are equally prominent.
When I sprayed it for the first time there was something that was immediately recognizable, not that it’s very similar to any particular fragrance, but that it was a combination of notes that shows up often in mall store fragrances. In particular, the orangey-amber that’s dominant in American Eagle’s Legend for men and a citric-muskiness that’s prominent in Rue 21’s CJ Black, but it combines to form something that’s pretty familiar.
So for a teenager who normally buys fragrances at stores like Abercrombie, maybe this scent will be enough to get them to at least appreciate fragrances that go a little beyond the normal mall store realm. Otherwise, this is the most forgettable in the line.
