It may be the climax of all jasmine perfumes.
Majestic & ultimate jasmine. So pure, sublime, uncompromising & vivid like no other. The jasmine love of my life. My beloved Nuda. Another jasmine perfumes are just like its shadows. /Nuda was possibly the very first niche fragrance I´ve ever tested – and you know – the first cut is the deepest./

Got this at Manchester Selfridges Boutique on Boxing Day for half price. Hadn’t up till then stood out whensoever I had tested the Nasomattos, so I wondered whether I had made one of tbose blunders that discounts sometimes tempt you into. Until I got round to trying it, that is: the fragrance just mounted and mounted until by the half-hour mark I was gasping and sneezing! Not really, but it was seriously by that point really quite overwhelming.
I would call this a daring one. The jasmine is not as indolic as some I have encountered, but what it lacks in that department is offset by the sheer weight of it.
Actually I would not venture to place the jasmine in this with any great precision on some kind of skank-scale. It’s hard to say (for me anyway), when there are other skanky components. And I don’t believe for a moment, as the notes-list here would have it, that this is nought but jasmine.

This may be the ultimate jasmine perfume. In comparison to other jasmine bombs such as Mugler Alien, Lush Lust, Carthusia Gelsomini di Capri and others, Nuda triumphs in terms of sheer power and photorealism. As is the case with all Nasomatto perfumes, it is not an easy wear, and it could easily scare off people who are not die-hard jasmine lovers, because it is quite indolic and animalic – in other words, skanky!

I used to hate jasmine. I used to turn my nose away from a perfume, even if jasmine appeared only in the bottom row of the ‘voted’ notes.
And as life has it, now I can’t get enough of jasmine.
In my quest to find the best jasmine soliflore there is, Nuda was recommended. I purchased a 4ml vial of the extrait, and waited patiently for it to arrive.
What an extraordinary composition! Carnal, lush, indolic, amazing! Much to my joy, I do not detect any other white florals in it apart from jasmine. Sometimes tuberose can be added in jasmine-centric perfumes and that spoils it for me personally.
Nuda is over the top, dense, realistic and as natural smelling as it can be. After two hours it becomes a proper perfume on my skin, meaning that for the first two hours it is so strong I need air to breathe (and that is only using a single smear of the extrait). It lasts for ages and then some. Love it and recommend it if you love indolic jasmine.

it is jasmine indeed, but a bit more rancid and soured up. jasmine but the calms down is kind of awful and animalic. the dries down goes rancid jasmine with a hint of turd.

wow…this is jasmine city! i know that the ingredient list mentions ONLY jasmine, but i think there’s something else in this mix. maybe something woody or citrusey. pure jasmine has a sickly sweet, buttery after taste/smell to it, this one doesn’t quite have that. but this is super sweet white floral goodness that will rot your teeth. sweet SWEET jasmine goodness…

    The best jasmine.
Actually more like jasmine liqueur than fresh-cut flowers, but that’s what makes it so entrancing as a perfume. There is nothing innocent about this, but it’s extremely sophisticated.

Nuda moves me. It moves me to the point of wanting to flip out my Visa card and purchase a full bottle for $185 for a mere 30 ml of this spellbinding discontinued perfume, all within 10 minutes alone with a sample of this alluring beauty.
Pure jasmine…I even feel that the wooded stems are included in the opening, rather warm with a moderate indolic note. As this evolves on my skin the wooded notes seem to tease the jasmine awake and arouse her forth.
Nuda doesn’t feel carnal, dirty or lustful, although there is a decidedly sexual character about this perfume. No, Nuda is sexually self-assured and positively dauntless in purity.
Jasmine in this presentation is incredibly fortifying and is truly a testament to the power of aromatherapy.

I love Nuda. It’s wonderful. When the the temperature’s right, it’s my favorite perfume of all and I wear it day & night.
I often can’t tell how strong a perfume is because once it gets in my nose, it sticks around. That’s definitely true for Nuda. To be safe, I assume it starts pretty strong and try to time application accordingly, e.g. not right as I walk into work or just before a meeting.
It lasts really well, albeit in a much toned down version. Actually, that’s a plus in my opinion. I usually still smell it a little the next morning after having reapplied when I get home from work, so call it 12 hours.
Where I live the winters are intensely cold. To my dismay I found that around November last year, Nuda wasn’t smelling quite right. To me, all of my florals become harsh and unwearable in the depths of winter. Not sure if it’s purely my perception or if I never get warm enough so the perfume doesn’t develop the same way or what, but from November until now (mid-March), Nuda’s been off the table. It was almost sour, very sharp and too salty while the Jasmine made me sneeze.
However, now either because the weather’ is warmer and so am I or I just miss it so much, it’s smelling more like it did. It opens smelling very strongly of bananas, pepper and Jasmine. The Jasmine sticks around and a slightly tangy, salty, leathery, metallic scent develops. It also sweetens just a tiny bit – just enough to keep it from being sour. Not soapy at all, not harsh, not indolic either. Does not remind me of either A La Nuit or By Killian Love and Tears, the former being soapy and the latter being briefly cow-pie-like.
Highly recommended; try it & if you like it, get it while you can!
Oh, regarding the color of the perfume: the bottle I’m using now has been brown since I opened the packaging. The reviewer who called it cognac brown is correct. I always assumed that the pictures on the web that were pinker were just reflecting the vagaries of photography and different monitors/screens. Also, the sample I started from was brown too.

I heard that this was getting discontinued and because I love jasmine, I had to try what is hailed as one of the best jasmines out there while I still could, so I shelled out the $9 for a small sample. After reading the reviews and hype, I was expecting something mind-shattering. I don’t want to say I’m disappointed, because it is lovely, but at the same time it didn’t live up to my expectations (which I’m actually happy about, because it would be very hard to get now anyway!). I absolutely LOVE Narcotic Venus, and this, in my opinion, isn’t as great of a jasmine perfume and NV is a tuberose perfume. It smells almost like jasmine liqueur (or what I’d imagine that to smell like). The closest thing to this I can think of is Bruno Acampora Jasmine, but that one is more green. It’s nothing like A La Nuit, which is a much more realistic, indolic, take on jasmine. That one seriously smells like jasmine blooming on a humid night. This is more “perfumey”, think Alien by TM. I can see this being wonderful for those looking for a smoother, less indolic take on jasmine, but jasmine is screechy and loud by nature. I know the name is supposed to mean naked/nude, but in Polish Nuda means boredom, which was precisely my reaction to this perfume.

The most brazenly erotic jasmine scent I have ever had the pleasure of indulging in. This expensive hooker is not a polite jasmine. It’s straight up porno jasmine. Gelsomino pornografico.

I tested Nuda and Narcotic Venus today and was, at first, a bit overwhelmed. I told the SA that they were too strong, too obnoxious for me. I tried other, less “offensive” fragrances, then chatted some more then walked out. something in the air made me a little dizzy.
A little later, I was in the car, stuck in traffic, thinking to myself, “I am not that kind of woman, this stuff is for those confident, bitchy women.. the fabulous, thin and perfectly groomed ones.. the ones we all secretly hate..”
Then I turned the radio on and listened to some music, I sniffed my left hand, the one with Nuda on it.. I sang along to a good tune and sniffed again. Dizzy again. Wait a minute.. I felt a little ehm.. a little, shall we say, “light-headed”, my God, this stuff is good! Oh my goodness this stuff is incredibly sexy and it is driving me nuts! Maybe I AM one of those stuck-up #itches! Who cares! I must have this fragrance!

The fragrance Nuda appears to be a successful exercise by Nasomatto’s perfumer to isolate the Jasmine from Chanel N°5(or recreate it), which did not go to waste. Instead it was commercially adopted along with the line of other similar successful exercises.
It’s a great quality Jasmine, no questions about it. But is it a Perfume?
One can only hope that these series of good quality etudes, that Nasomatto’s line represents today is the preparation for something greater-a Perfume.
For about a year I have been shifting it between the love and dislike shelves. It has something in common with Santal Blush Tom Ford: jasmin, spice(not fenugreek), sandalwood, oud. I usually blame annoying tartness in fragrances on young cheaper patchouli. But what do I know?
Perhaps, it’s not a patchouli at all (at least not listed here), but a wood instead: can cedarwood and sandalwood in Nuda and Santal Blush fill my mouth with dry, alum like tartness?
I also agree with JasmijnMade in Lush(Gorilla perfumes) Lust fragrance similarity and with serchina on that a tuberose is closely attached to the jasmine in Nuda, making the jasmine so much more desirable.

MsPriestess, the colour is supposed to be light pink when you receive it. I had mine for about 1,5 years now (I don’t want to run out of this stuff, so i use it only on special occassions) and the colour of the liquid that is left has turned into the colour you described, a brownish pink (it reminds me in some way of the colour of cognac). I assume this means that the perfume that you received might have been on the shelf for a while. But..if it is any consolation. the smell is just as intense and addicting as it was the first time i sprayed it!

I just received my bottle of Nuda sealed and in the correct packaging/bottle but the liquid is an deep pinky brown colour. The top note smells strange but dries down as I remember from a sample. In the pictures it’s light pink! Can anyone confirm the colour the liquid is meant to be? Wondering if its off. Thanks

I get mostly a soft creamy and musky tuberose from Nuda rather than Jasmine. At the beginning a shy jasmine is sitting in the background behind the tuberose “star” just with the right amount of usage and throughout the developement of the scent the jasmine becomes more and more stronger. In the end only the jasmine note is left. I personally love it. Great perfume, but a little pricy for 30 ml.
Edit: Whats wrong with me? I cant put it out of my mind.I am dreaming of Nuda since I have discovered it 🙂 And I dont even really like such “bright” florals with prominent jasmine or tuberose. I have to get a bottle soon.

I wish I could share everybody’s enthusiasm! What should be a musky jasmine on me almost turns bad….there is a kind of “moist” base that is quite sickening on my skin!
    What a pity!
    I had to give away……

this one reminds me of those old classics from the 20’s with a modern tangy twist and maybe slightly less powdery. Woe is me, I have to save for an eternity to buy this one….but buy it I shall. Until then, the sample will have to suffice. One of the nicest jasmine-bombs I’ve smelled. It’s still a sexy jasmine versus the Chanel no. 5 imperious jasmine. I’m really into jasmine now, as opposed to when I was younger. I think jasmine mixes and jasmine soliflores can be hard to wear sometimes, especially if you’re on the young side and it’s been something I had to get comfortable with. Next up, iris and tuberoses.

this was not hat I expected it to be. overly sweet and floral notes of tuberose and jasmine and possibly vanilla? too floral with no basnotes that balance the composition

Wow, now this is a fragrance i get excited about…
After years of searching and trying out tons of Jasmine fragrances..this one stands out..
This is such a deep, strong (but definitly not indolic) Jasmine fragrance, i can’t stop smelling it..
It is so different from all the other Jasmine fragrances i have tried..
You either get the really airy, floral Jasmine, often mixed with rose or other florals, or the really dirty, almost turning bad, kind of Jasmine..
The only true Jasmines i’ve come across are the Flying Fox from the Lush (mixed with honey to give it a sweet but creamy scent, more Sambac) and Godiva shampoo by Lush (more floral Grandiflorium)..
Since they don’t have fragrance of either of these, i had to continue my search..in fear of never finding a true Jasmine fragrance..
I am currently shifting between A La Nuit (Serge Lutens) and Lust (Lush)..
I love them, but i find that A La Nuit does turn quite indolic sometimes and Lust can transform itself into a crazy sweet heady scent (not to mention i have never encountered a perfume that i so present for hours even with the tiniest spray)
I have tried all the typical Jasmine scents, Notre Flore – l’ Occitane, Jasmine Sambac – Matthew Williamson, Jasmin – Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier, Jasminora – Guerlain, Tendre Jasmin – Yves Rocher, Night Blooming Jasmine – Floris, Gelsomino – Aqua di Parma, Jasmine – Keiko Mecheri and i can go on for a while..
I even tried drugstore perfumes, essential oils and Jasmine scented bodylotions..
But i have never really loved a perfume like this one..
It is so rich, so ‘full’…so romantic and sexy at the same time..
It just stands out from the rest (and it has to, it costs 185 dollars for 30 ml :O)
I’ve only purchased a sample of this perfume, but even considering the costs, i will definitly buy a full bottle of this…it’s unlike any other Jasmine fragrance i have smelled!
If you are a true Jasmine lover like me…try this!!you will not be disappointed!
EDIT: Why oh why have they discontinued this perfume?:'(

I have tried nuda on my skin last night. The lasting power is overwhelming, i can still smell it on my wrist this morning.
I am not that firm with the fragrance language most of you use, so i will try to describe in my own words (i am german).
when i first sprayed it on my thought was “uhhhh, this is interesting”.
it was a very pleasent fresh soft opening with just a tiny little sweetness that was just right and not too much, so it would not prevent me to wear it as a man. it reminded my of some sort of fruit but i unfortunately would not guess what it was. the opening was all naturall and i had no chemical impression.
as time past by nuda developed very interesting, as it changed its face in way i almost couldn´t believe it. suddenly i smelled a somehow dark and a little bit sharp flowery note like flowers after e heavy rain in the early morning. not sweet at all, but heavily attracting me for some reason. it wasn´t a regular attraction, more like “what strange thing is happening here?” Do i really like this?
From then on nuda seemed to jump between these notes and while doing so the first note developed into an absolutely beautiful extremly addictive and attractive jasmin.
There is no cheap or ordinary basenotes that i could make out, no vanilla, no musk, no patchouli, no amber, no tonka that many perfumes turn out to be like. That´s what i found to be very remarkable.
Nuda is all about Jasmin. From the beginning to its end.
There would probably be much more to describe about nuda but – excuse my beginners nose – these were the outstanding and very remarkable things that i would experience.
I could not help it keep smelling on my wrist all the time.
I own Love & Tears by Kilian and i really like it. Nuda is different though. It is more special. It seems to change clothes without loosing its style. It attracts and appeals to the emotions, it challenges without being offending.
It fits my skin like it was made to be there.
I will be heading out to the store after writing this because there is NO WAY around buying a whole bottle of this. I haven´t had that feeling before and i suppose that´s my keyword. 😉
And it is not that i want to go out there and buy the bottle, it´s even more like i HAVE to do it, like i am forced to to it and there is no way around.
    This stuff is highly addictive!!!

I just received a sample from luckyscent of this fragrance with a purchase and had no idea what to expect with a name like ‘nuda’ I thought ‘bland, boring’. But this is beautiful. It smells of musky jasmine, but has a freshness to it that stops it from being too nauseating like I find some strong jasmines to be. It is creamy, but has a spiciness to it aswell, they offset eachother brilliantly. This smells expensive and when I got home and checked the price I was right! Don’t know if I can justify getting a full bottle but I am sure I will buy a sample when Im finished with this one.
