Description

By expanding her fragrant portfolio and by creating another fragrance that reflects Aguilera’s style and sensibility, we arrive at the new edition Glam X Eau de Parfum which celebrates the big anniversary with a “selection of extravagant ingredients that affect creating complex structures.” The lush floral composition is sweetened with caramelized peach and warmed with hot amber. The fragrance is aimed at the women who know exactly who they are and how the world should see them – according to the brand.

Glam X celebrates femininity by selecting luminous and sparkling notes of mandarin and orange blossom mixed with caramelized peach and star anise. The heart adds a rich bouquet of freesia, heliotrope, jasmine and lily of the valley, resting on a base of musk, amber, sandalwood and benzoin. The freshness of the floral bouquet provides balance to the fruity sweetness and seductive warmth of resins, wood and musk in the base.

CHRISTINA AGUILERA Glam X Eau de Parfum arrives in a golden flacon with floral, lacy motifs, in the amount of 30 ml and 60ml Eau de Parfum. It is accompanied by perfumed shower gel 150ml and body lotion150ml.
Glam X Eau de Parfum was launched in 2017.

This one smells so cheap on me. Like super duper cheap. Reminds me of some wood polish.

Very deep and mature scent, the benzoin and amber are very prominent.. I don’t love it like Xtina’s other fragrances.. This one is different. Not really my cup of tea.
I think this is Christina in her Back To Basic era.. Smells like old lady in a glamour dress. If you are a fun happy person, this is not for you.

I was at Walmart not long ago.. just saw this sitting there.. and I’m not very familiar with Christina’s frag like, so I decided to give it a go ., the bottle was also looked enticing over the other testers there. I sprayed it and right away, I was first overwhelmed with white floral… particularly orange blossom , Lilly of the valley, and possibly the orange and star anise. But mostly, it was a bomb of orange blossom. I like orange blossom in some perfumes, like JPG Classique, but sometimes it can be too much. It was okay, so I left and thought nothing more of it… until I got home and an hour passed. I kept smelling the sweetest, creamiest , warm and intoxicating scent.. which I had no idea where was coming from. I figured it must’ve been one of my perfumes I was wearing earlier, Pink Sugar…, just thought my nose was acting goofy cause I’m pregnant. There’s no way it could’ve been the Christina perfume I sprayed hours before, I thought. It smelled nothing like it did in the prior stages, so I was confused. But it had settled down and morphed into the loveliest lil scent! The dry down is amazing!! I didn’t pay attention to the name of the perfume, so I had to hunt it down here on fragrantica, lol. I went to Walmart asap the next day and bought it. And it aaa actually pretty pricey for a celeb frag. I checked prices on eBay after, and the 2oz bottle was listing for 40$ mostly. Didn’t realize this is one of Christina’s newest offerings. I went through my bottle so fast, and am happy to report that the price reduced significantly to 18$ since then. Cheap and so yummy!
This is similar to Classique in the sense that it DOES revolve around orange blossom. But the dry down notes for both make them so much more than that..particularly the amber. Classique is more powdery to me.. and Glam X is creamy and sweet. It smells like very creamy vanilla and amber.. and I swear this is one of the most gorgeous ambers I’ve ever encountered ! Along comes the sweet sugar, benzoin… and I love the woody undertones. To sum it up, Glam X is like a warm glowing fire. Also, I see other people commenting on the other floral notes in this, but I’m not getting that. Possibly at first.. but this perfume is all about its dry down..I don’t pay much attention to ithe top notes. I’m also just noticing it has a balsamic vibe..
To me, this is incredibly sweet. At first it smelled like cotton candy or ice cream at dry down. But ultimately, this is not a cotton candy sickly sweet concoction. It’s a floral gourmand. If you love amber, vanilla, creamy , orange blossom and benzoin, you’ll like this. I love it, personally. I know vanilla is not listed in the notes, but all mixed together, there’s definitely a prominent smell reminiscent to vanilla. I’m thinking it’s just the sweet amber and orange blossom mixed, who knows. In fact, it smells like cream soda now that I think of it. But very sexy, perfumey woody cream soda! I’m just happy as Glam X is now in my top 10 favorite perfumes. I’m really obsessed with it right now. Highly recommend.
Oh, and the sillage/longevity is very impressive! It lasted on me for 24 hours! I would also say I wear this during the day AND night. It’s pretty AND sexy. My old fave Christina was Red Sin, smells like spiced apple. But this is better!
Oh, and lastly, I’ve seen comparisons for Lolita Lempicka a few times, also Private Show, Opium. If you dont like those, i’d still try this , as every nose is different –and for me, Glam X doesn’t seem similar like any of those, IMO. Especially the Lolita Lempicka comparison. Just goes to show how differently we all smell things. But.. I’d be a little disappointed if Glam X were similar to Private Show or Lolita lempicka. I would actually say this is more reminiscent of L de Lolita Lempicka.. Lolita’s “L,”, rather than the original Lolita Lempicka. They’re all 3 completely different, but I don’t get anything similar to Lolita Lempicka from this. i can’t really think of anything it reminds me of at the moment..so.. give a try

This smells like fresh tobacco not unlike lolita lempicka (the original) and Chantal Thomass Chantal Thomass Thomass.

Xtina’s fragrances are always so very synthetic and cloying on me and Glam X is no exception, but..I actually ended up putting a bottle of this in my cart and bringing it home with me.
I never would have given this a thought, as I mentioned, Xtina’s frag’s just have never worked well for me in the past. But there was a tester bottle of this in wally world, so I decided why not try it. This is not screeching to me as her other fragrances, this is much more ‘tame,’ which is kind of ironic, given it’s name “Glam X. And this is also not as synthetic nor cloying as I remember her other fragrances. This is surprisingly quite light on my skin. I find it nice for this time of year, mid-February, when there is still a chill in the air where I live. As the reviewer below me noted, I initially pick up an orange/amber scent with this, but then a couple hours after applying this dries down to a vanilla smell, even though vanilla is not listed in the notes here. That is all I smell with this after a couple of hours.
I detect a very light sweetness now and then, but by no means is this a sugar bomb. I am shocked how light this is, borderline skin scent. The synthetic-ness and the cloying aspect die down after about an hour. Oddly enough, about an hour or two after applying this, this dries down to a vanilla scent, even thought there is no vanilla note listed here. A soft scent. Not overpowering at all. More of a skin scent to me/on my skin/to my nose.
I don’t think the name “Glam X” fits at all But it is what it is. Although to me Glam X to me makes me think of something strong and overpowering and for fancy nights out, and yet this is not overpowering at all and I could see this even being an everyday scent for some. Longevity is not great, unfortunately, this pretty much poofs on me after 2 to 3 hours.

This smells nice and thats the only nice thing I can say about it. Mostly sweet orange and amber on me.
The longevity is tragic at about 30 min and no one around me can smell it. Its why I have to click dislike even tho I really like the scent. Its doesnt do what perfume should & that is smell nice to you and others. Its also $20 for 1fl.oz. Which is ridicules! So if you got a 3.4oz bottle you’d pay what?…$60-$70 for a celebrity scent that doesnt even last.
How about you pay $20 for a 3.4 oz bottle of Hidden Fantasy(Amazon) or Private Show VIP(Kohls). Both sugar and orange & smell amazeing. They both have great sillage and longevity.
Edit: I forgot about Can Can Burlesque, very surgary citrus. $20 Amazon. Any of those 3 is better than Glam X.

Weird one in a good way. It opens up sweet/sour like a coffeee free lighter Black Opium EDP on my skin, lovely, must be the common notes(mandarin orange -of the EDT and orange blossom of both EDT and EDP). It even has that “smokiness” I get on my skin from the Black Opium EDP without the stinky coffee. Then it completely changes mood and smells identical maybe stronger on the vanilla to Fantasy in Bloom. Maybe a winter version haha. I see they both contain mandarin orange and jasmine, amber, sandalwood and vanilla – these are the common notes. But here I DO get the benzoin which i love! Overall a lovely sexy perfume, silage is disappointing for my standards tho. Wish the bottle was larger than 2 oz. Since I cant wear BO EDP because its a total mess on my skin and I find Fantasy in Bloom too summery for winter time with the cherry blossom, this is an amazing winter choice. Not a regret for sure. Its a 9 out of 10 from me. Sprayed on clothes it comes off more floral than fruity(its very fruity on the skin). Ill buy another bottle.

Weather now turning bitterly cold & now my seasonal perfume switch is activated for winter scents. Sampled a few perfumes in the shop over this past week or so and Glam X warmed my cold heart. Not to heavy & reminescence of the original Lolita Lempicka. Beautifuly blended and highly recommended.

I was expecting a lot from this….but ended up being pretty disappointed. It is very weak and hard to detect.

I just got the larger bottle of this. I can tell the orange blossom and the warm musks are strong. It reminds me of Britney Spears’ “Private Show” but with a higher class punch. It’s not as fruity. This also has a nod back to the “Red Sin” fragrance of Christina’s. I love the bottle and the scent. It probably will wear heavier in warmer weather and during the day, better in evening and possibly in colder weather. Classic scent all around though. Majority of Christina’s scents are beautiful well balanced and classic.

This is stunning!!! I’m amazed at how classy and rich this smells. I love how these notes work together and it’s really unique once it settles. Initially when you first spray it you think this is nice another fruity floral but wait. It really doesn’t take long before this starts to smell warm and inviting, the floral notes start to mix in and it has the perfect balance of fruit and floral. Then the gourmand aspect comes in and you get this beautiful warmth from the amber but not too much it just lends a sweetness to balance everything. The heliotrope in the heart is just beautiful and I think it gives this a unique edge that not many fragrances have. I’m loving this and it lasts really well for a Christina perfume as her others don’t last on me. The sillage is lovely it leaves a nice trail. Overall a stunning effort and I’m really impressed with it and will try any future scents as Elizabeth Arden has taken over her brand and if this fragrance is the result of that I say it was a great business move.

I recently got this perfume from Amazon in the USA. This perfume isn’t ” too gourmand ” or ” too floral ” it’s just right. Hands down one of my favorite perfumes by her as well as By Night. This is more of a in between scent for her. To me Glam X is a daytime perfume into the evening. I really like how the star anise is in this perfume, and that’s why I like this perfume as much as I do. The notes are really balanced in this perfume. The amber in this perfume is balanced by the other notes so the amber doesn’t become overwhelming which makes me very happy. To me Glam X is the perfect ” floral gourmand ” this could easily be your signature perfume all year round, because it’s not too heavy.

It’s not outstanding, but I find it quite okayish. A light and sweet peach scent at first, the sweetness slowly fades away with time.
It’s not the best form Christina’s scents, but not the worst either.
Just simply okay. I think I won’t be thinking about it again though, there are far better and more impressive scents on the market.

I am not very impressed with this one. I was excited to try it, because i like Aguilera´s perfumes, but Glam X just smells generic. It is not bad, it is just not original. There are many fragrances like this one out there, including ( the much better) Aguilera Signature. This one is just a sweet floral, a bit dated and synthetic. I think the creators did not put much thought into it, they just wanted another product to sell. even the bottle looks cheap. And CA´s perfumes usually have pretty bottles.
Too bad. I will wait for the next launch.

Well, this note pyramid is not what I expected. I find it kinda funny cause I told myself that surely there’s tons of raspberry in here. That was a straight up fact in my mind. At first it reminded me of a chocolate with a fruity raspberry filling. You know that fakey red fruit smell. Now it’s like, raspberry with a wafer cookie background. Anise, benzoin, sandalwood…What? Have no idea where that is. Doesn’t show up on my skin. Also, it seems very weak

Star anise and orange blossom are a couple of my least favorite notes… but I love her perfumes so I’m excited to try this one. Hopefully it will be released in the US right away. I like the gold bottle.
