I’ve never tried Chanel Egoiste Platinum so i cannot speak on the comparison. However, comparsions aside this cologne is unmistakably masculine, clean and highly approved by my wife. –she typically doesn’t like the niche-y shit I wear but this one gets her seal of approval in spades!
For the price, I highly advise trying this. If you’re into clean masculine colognes, this is a must. Easily 8/10 for me.
