I still own a very old bottle of this; cucumber melon fantasy is very true to its name, and sweet. If I’m being completely honest the melon notes tends on being plastic-like and synthetically sweet, but taking this body splash too seriously is a mistake. It gives off fresh, happy, nostalgic girl-next-door vibes, and taken for what it is, it is nice.

Ordinarily I loathe Bath & Body Works type fruity melony smells. I go in there always hoping for something decent that is not full of muskm fake berry, or overpoweringly sweet. Might as well wear a Glade air freshener… Imagine my surprise to find this B&BW knock-off in the travel toiletry section of the grocery store! Right there with the mini-deodorants, mini-toothpastes, hair gel, etc. to take on the airplane. There may be cucumber and melon notes in this, but it is overpowering sweet sweet sweet. I thought it was a bit strong. It reminds me of the tooth-achey sweet of Cabotine by Gres…. But you know, sometimes sweet and cheap is just what you want, over decadent and expensive and mysterious. If Cucumber Melon Fantasy was a person, it would be a young, cute, casual young lady with her hair in a topknot, a tight t-shirt and short-shorts, buying a soda at the 7-11, and she would hold the door open for you, and give you a dazzling smile. Makes you feel good for most of the day.

Update: It sadly appears this has been discontinued to my surprise?! Very rarely do I see a standard body mist disappear off the shelf, especially one that was a top seller. I have searched a bit in local stores where I used to buy it and it looks as though they have come out with a few new scents (the majority I have now tested and fall into the sickly sweet, synthetic, trying too hard category), nothing special and definitely not a single one that compares to this fresh, lovely and true cucumber attention/compliment grabbing scent. I’m still looking to see/confirm if is has in fact been discontinued but a real shame if so. 🙁
Edit: I have unfortunately confirmed this has been discontinued which I find very unfortunate. I have 3/4 of a large bottle remaining and until I find another comparable cucumber scent, I will be very careful on how much I used to spritz this liberally on both myself and around my house. I would also love to hear of any others that may compare to this, with it being so fresh, surprisingly non-synthetic, excellent to layer and very affordable too.

This is a “true” Cucumber fresh and clean scent, not in the least bit synthetic nor sweet. I grab something like this fragrance when I’m running out the door to go shopping or just to the store. Funny for the price comparison to many others I own; I receive a lot of compliments when wearing this mist. It is a fragrance I will always, always have in my collection. ☺

Over the years bath & body works has disappointed me more times than I can count by discontinuing my favorite fragrances.Their cucumber melon was my favorite and this body fantasy smells nearly identical.It reminds me of a jolly rancher candy.I love it because it’s fresh,sweet,clean and gets lots of compliments!

First scent I ever got! takes me back way back when to grade school when I thought this spray from walgreens was the most grown up thing i’ve ever used…
This scent smells exactly how it is titled: melon and cucumbers. Very inoffensive, cheap, and great as a starter. It smells a little synthetic and of course smells inexpensive as well, but hey! it’s super casual and super summery!
Great for wearing when you feel like wearing a t-shirt, shorts, and flip-flops or something, and not up to actually putting on makeup and dressing up.
Staying power is not great, but hey, what do you expect from a cheap, drugstore body spray?

Dead on cucumber melon scent. Very fresh, melony, and clean. They sell this at the drugstore, it is a cheap casual body spray lasting at least 4 hours on my bare skin. Wore it years ago.
