This is a weird one. Zeste de Vigne opens aggressively; luckily that dies down in a few minutes, leaving this sour artificial powdery scent that isn’t citrus-y at all on me. The drydown smells like a mix of my rich old Texan aunt’s house and the lemon-scented powder cleaner my dad used to shake on the carpets before he vacuumed. I’m a huge fan of citrus scents, but on me, this one didn’t have a “true” citrus aspect to it at any stage.

I hoped this would be my perfect citrus scent but what I got instead is an awful, metallic, lemon scented bleach-like fragrance of a very short longevity. I wouldn’t recommend this eau de toilette to anyone!

HELLOOO! Wake up and smell the lemon! It’s not obnoxious lemon— quite well-blended and balanced with woody notes. Soooo refreshing for a swamp ass summer day!

now THIS is what i’m talking about!! bitter citrus green leaves, lemons and limes… all fresh and dirtied down with woods and oakmoss. i spray this bitch all over myself before my life-sucking commute home and it instantly lifts me and makes me feel new again.

I am a huge fan of the original scent in this range, “Fleur de vigne”, so set out to try the new flakers.
I got a generous 10ml sample to try this one.
It’s very unpleasant: flat, loud and metallic citrus. Werable in summer, yes, but there are thousands of very nice citrus scents out there, so why bother?
Another flanker, “The des signes” is quite nice: soft, sensual and slightly spicy without overwhelming, the perfect scent for end of summer, back to school time.

Definitely try on the skin before you buy. I think this turns a bit pi§§y on my skin. The The Des Vignes in the same range is really pleasant though.

Very citrusy, fizzy, refreshing ! perfect for summer.
