While this latest formulation is nice and office-safe, it pales in comparison with the vetiver that Zara released in 2008.
Firstly, the citric smell crowds the opening; the vetiver is hardly noticeable until it shines after 5 minutes on my skin. Faint musk and woodsy notes accompany the fragrance until the end of its perfume life in approximately 40 minutes.
If you are unable to obtain the 2008 release, make do with this one, buy 5 bottles or more. This lovely skin scent will make your office mates linger around you. 5 sprays on your clothes will last you 21/2 to 3 hours.

This is the third vetiver that Zara launches throughout its history and the users comment on the Internet that the three revolve around the same formula. Not surprisingly, however, that the brand brings this creation often in its line of perfumes as fashion collections are always being renewed – with nothing fixed. Ideas that work tough come back in from time to time into collections.
If you base the impression of Vetiver of this creation only taking into account the opening notes you will surely find that it is only present in name only. It is not customary in fact that vetiver takes longer to appear – in most perfumes that have vetiver in the name the woodsy, earthy, and sometimes damp smell is already noticeable just right off. Indeed, this has always been one of my implecations with vetiver perfumes, the root always seemed a kind of vocal that tries to highlight its voice more than anything else ever. It’s not what happens here.
The output is well citrus, bright and pleasant. There is something in the idea of a neroli lemon here that makes me think for a few moments of Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. Interestingly I hate Light Blue but here I think it works very well this bright citrus and floral dynamic. Especially considering what comes after, which is a synthetic abstraction of vetiver that has something earthy of the green woody roots of this grass mixed with a nice base of musks and mineral woods. This is a perfume that without a famous designer, neat bottle or high price offers what a good perfume should offer: an aroma well done, nice and consistent from beginning to end. A bargain.

@Ulusia I don’t think it bears any resemblance to Tom Ford’s Grey Vetiver since this is one is rather linear and sweet whilst TFGV is much more complex, drier and crispier. Still, Zara’s vetiver is appealing as an everyday casual fragrance and worth buying.

It is a lovely dupe of TF grey vetiver edt, of course with lower sillage. I bought it in sale, so it is not a problem to be generous 🙂
It starts citrusy and vetiver is fresh not so earthy.

Light veriver with lots of citrus and musky drydown. Very natural smelling actually. Not bad at all. I just got this today so I’ll review later once I’ve had a chance to wear it a few times. First impression- watered down Original Vetiver by Creed. I was excited to pay the $26 dollar price but when I went to pay it was 50% off! CANT BEAT THAT!! $16 out the door… Go heavy on the trigger, why not, and I think you’ll be impressed.
Edit 7/22/2016: Took it back when I realized that I didn’t want this anymore, even if it was free 🙁 Got like 30min out out this, 40min on a good day, at like 10-12 sprays!! I would leave the house and get upset because I could have sprayed something else that will actually last, like Original Vetiver! Nice scent though..

Do yourself a favor. Go to your nearest Zara Shop. Buy 2 or 3 bottles. Keep it and enjoy it. One day, when this be discontinued you will be happy of your decision.
It´s fresh, clean, classy and masculine. Not similar to any other I know. And only for 20 euros.

If I’m not mistaken this is the same Zara Vetiver that was released in 2008, just in different packaging.
