This type of bottle has been revived into 3 delish eau du parfum concentration. It is ambrox, casmeran and cor4nol. I smelled all 3 and I must say all 3 are a good must have. Although ambrox is very common nowadays, I bet cashmeran and cor4nol might get raves instead. Too bad, only in 50ml concentration.

just got a bottle in the mail today from a man that got it in spain in 05 but never even opened it, so i won it on ebay for $16… at first sniff i was like hmm you get what you pay for cause it had a rotten cypress tree smell and it was something only old man would wear… but given 2 minutes that smell goes away and woooow ! amazing scent.. spicey pine trees + mellow cypress trees and it is extreemly similar to the legend the gucci pour homme I … this is deff a classic and worth every penny, it was made by puig labs in 2005 has been discountinued since, ofcourse like the gucci, all good things get discountinued i am not sure why, but i am glad i got this bottle, it is not a teenage scent by any means you have to be 20+ to pull this off, best worn in the winter, with a leather jacket and scarf maybe… remind me of snow nights growing up as a kid in serbia.. the spreyer on this is one of the best in the bussines… after the the first minute when the rotten smell goes away this is nice

I have the “new” scent. I’ve only had good and very good comments on it. I got a few days ago on vacation so I’ll see if it attracts attention at work and with people who will tell me if I smell nice or not..Me ?I like it. When I shower again in the evening the scent still is there.

I would agree that women love it. And the great pity is you can no longer get it. The replacement ‘For Him’ from Zara is a poor substitute. Rosendo should recreate it elsewhere because with another fragrance of that name on the market, surely it’s free to take on a new identity. But tell us about it!

got this as a gift for my brother. he has Le Male and burberry Brit, so in hindsight i’m not sure why i decided to get him another cologne but i used those two to gauge what he might like. after testing out a couple dozen fragrances, i gave up because everything i liked was too light, and everything darker i found repulsive.
Then I walked into Zara, smelled this and got it immediately. It’s not overwhelming in any way shape or form. It’s manly, semisweet/spicy fragrance that is perfect for winter and night but also versatile; you could wear this anytime, except for maybe a hot summer day. Wear it on a date, at work, or out with the buddies, wherever. And the best part is the price.
Oh and something odd… after a few sniffs I got this perception of Dr Pepper the soda. Perhaps it is the combination of the subtle citrus and nutmeg… I have no idea. But it definitely reminded me of Dr Pepper for a moment. My brother didn’t agree/smell this though. Interesting!

This is another great scent by Zara. It’s very bold, like Puig scents are known to be. Oh, yes, Zara for him was developed by the Puig labs.
The first burst smells exactly like a good gin-tonic. If you’re a gin-tonic person, you’ll get hooked. The top notes here are very accurate: juniper berries (gin’s distinctive ingredient) and citrus. As it dries down it gets more woodsy and a bit sour, without losing the beautiful cypress smell.
Living in the tropics, I find it too strong for the day, so I wear it at night. Preferably full moon nights. Cause on my skin, I find it to be a bit too strong, and haven’t discovered yet a way to apply it moderately. Yes, loud sillage (that fades a bit as it dries down) and good staying power (more than 6 hours). Some people won’t find this a problem in Zara for Him, but I prefer being more discreet.
I close my review with the curious things that happened when I bought Zara for Him. There was a lady buying another perfume for her husband. I tested Zara for Him and as a gin-tonic lover, I didn’t hesitate: “I’m gonna take it!”. The woman smelled it and got wowed, and changed her purchase. Another woman passing by came close and asked us which one was this marvellous perfume, and you guess: 3 bottles were sold in some 5 minutes. Oh yeah, it’s as clear as it seems: women love it.
