This was the “cool” Avon fragrance that I wished I could have in the early 80’s after it came out and stuck around for awhile in the Avon brochures. I already had Sweet Honesty, but I thought Zany had a fun-looking “zany” bottle and I thought I’d just feel more grown-up wearing this perfume. I never got it and never smelled it, until about a year ago, when I thought of it again and ordered off of Ebay. It’s a light spicy floral, I think I can detect some heliotrope, jasmine, lighter vanilla, sandalwood, some citrus, and it seems a lot like cardamom for the spiciness. As it turns out, I like it and now enjoy wearing it. It’s light enough as a spicy scent to wear for summer without feeling smothered by it. The original bottle is silly but fun. Definitely recommended especially if you’re a vintage Avon collector like I am! It’s great when it smells good enough to wear as well as collect.

Wow, Zany…I had the hippo decanter as well, a white hippo with a red plastic top hat, and I liked it so much I used it up.
I remember it as a sweet-spicy fougère, somewhat along the lines of Heaven Scent (the Mem version sold at drugstores in the early 80s), or Canoe, but sweeter, spicier, and heavier on the vanilla. It’s been years, but I’m thinking…lavender, lemon, jasmine, carnation, geranium, clove, maybe cinnamon, heliotrope, sandalwood, tonka, vanilla? Probably all synthetic, but still nice.

I had this when I was about 14 years old in the hippo decanter bottle.I remember very much liking it.May not be my choice now,as not so complex as I would like now.For a teen then It was a very nice fragrance.I can remember it being a green floral.
