One of my friends used to have this and I’d spray it when I visited her room. She ended up giving me the bottle when she moved.
That adorable little silver fish can get awkward when trying to spray, you have to line up the atomizer.
Having spent my early years at the beach and in swim practice, the strange combination of scents does remind me of a water scent with a little fresh summeriness from the melon, I think…like walking the boardwalk or pier to the beach when some mysterious summer bush is fruiting, or someone walks by smelling of their after-swim shampoo.
The spice notes, as usual, read very clearly on my skin but not too annoyingly….still more strong than a true oceanic experience for me….in heat it can smell very boardwalky, especially if you remember lying on hot wooden planks in the sun.
Unlike most perfumes, I can wear it on my skin but I think it does make my nose itch sometimes.Pine and fruits usually read very loud on me but not so much with Y Aqua.
I like a spritz in a car in the summer, especially with leather seats.
I recommend that you NOT try to combine this with a scented soap, lotion or shampoo.
Try it with maybe aloe body wash from OilofOlay or lime or aloe soap from WholeFoods, I forget the brand, but they’re round and sold loose in a little wooden display and make a rough oatmeal soap which is my usual choice….they’re very subtle in aroma.
This scent is ok for younger and older people- younger for fun dates, older for freshening up…good for spring or summer, and as with a lot of my favorite scents, it smells good on rainy days and after shower.
